I visited as part of a food tour. I had a negroni made with local vermouth which might have been good, if I liked negronis. I would have preferred a whiskey drink. Also had two appetizers and a dessert. The appetizers were okay but I would have preferred something more authentic. The apple cake was good but would have benefited from being warm.

23/09/2026: Lovely restaurant along the river. Food was excellent, very well made! Location was great, the service too was excellent. Overall, a great dining experience. Lovely indoor deco. Good value for money.

Food, service, and atmosphere were still excellent. A bit quieter, as well because it was earlier in the evening. I had the Sole special and my wife had the Gnocchi. Both were excellent. Il Vicolo is one of our favorite restaurants in Galway.
