The best restaurants in Galway

23/06/2025: In my opinion this is the best place to get a cappuccino in town. It is affordable, drinks are good and it has a nice patio by the river. We visited Sult almost daily while staying at the university residence.

24/07/2025: We had an amazing stay at the Galmont! Initially, we booked a superior king room and I noted in the reservation that I was celebrating a graduation. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a better room with a view and the room had a delicious tray of treats to celebrate my graduation. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large and spacious, and the amenities were very updated (e.g., towel rack warmer, smart TV, etc). We loved the location as it was extremely close to the bus station and the train station (less than a 5 minute walk) while it was also tucked away on a street that was quiet. We wanted to be close enough to the tourist attractions without actually staying in the hustle and bustle of it all so we greatly appreciated our stay here. There was an issue with plumbing and the hotel apologized and upgraded our room again to a balcony. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We also went to the spa while we were staying here and it was the best massage we’ve ever had! Overall, this hotel stay was wonderful and we look forward to coming back next time we are on vacation!

22/07/2025: Excellent hotel in an amazing location. We loved being just outside the city center where it was quiet at night, but close enough that we could walk to all of the action. The spa was a nice add on, and being able to safely park our car was awesome.

17/08/2025: Not a nice experience. We waited so long to order, than they brought us an amount of beer we didn't order, and my beer was warm. Food wasn't good either, the salmon dish was overcooked. We ordered for me a glass of wine, they brought us 1/2l that we said we don't want, but the waither said it's ok, won't charge us which they did. After arguing with the waiter and the manager, they removed the wine from the bill, but we waited for more than 30min to pay.

09/07/2025: Great wine, great cocktails, great service. We didnt eat hut food looked good too. Cosy spot upstairs and were able to get a table as a walk in.

28/06/2025: We stopped here for a glass of wine and a cocktail. The grapefruit cocktail was very nice, and my husband enjoyed his wine. He said the oysters were good, but he wasn't too sure about the sage and buttermilk for the oysters. Fabulous art adorns the walls!

12/08/2025: Comfy, clean rooms and tasty food in restaurant. Parking attached to hotel at fair price and friendly staff. Great locations for shops and pubs in town.

13/08/2025: I felt like being in France. Everything tastes mouthful. And yes you can hear some French speaking in the background, one of the reason being so good I guess. Don’t hesitate, just go !

27/07/2025: I'm travelling from Melbourne, and the coffee here is great, but the reason for the 5 star review is the Pain Aux Raisin. I've never had a pastry that good in my life!

08/08/2025: Oh my, we loved our stay here. The man who greeted us (I think I remember his name, but I don’t want to completely mess it up!) was beyond friendly. He had a warm and welcoming smile. He showed us to our room quickly and got us settled in. Our room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the espresso coffee maker in the room and made use of it each morning. The housekeeper (such a sweet woman) cleaned the room each day which was such a nice touch — coming home to a clean room after exploring the city center. All I can say is that this was everything my boyfriend and I could want and more! We both agreed we’ll stay here every time we come to Galway. Thank you so much, Feeney’s Audubon Lodge, for providing such an excellent stay during our Galway adventures. We will most certainly be back!

09/07/2025: Absolutely lovely place to stay over 😊. Warm friendly welcome 🙏 and everything you need is in your room. If you are visiting salthill this is the place to stay you have bars cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep, the seafront is down the road 😉,and you can walk to the city centre in 20 mins 😉, plus the leisureland centre is only round the corner and we went to see 👀 the Trad on the Prom that night 🌙, which is the highly acclaimed Irish song 🎵 and dance 🕺 show. Definitely a must 👌.

18/07/2025: It ain't Vinnie's, however your man Aqeel is dead on. Feels like there's more options in the one takeaway than things I'm capable of conceiving of on a night out anyway. Always sorts you out on whatever notion strikes your fancy. Delectable garlic base pizza. I'm a fan of the milkshakes as well. Worth a gander anyway 5/5 pretty good hai

27/08/2025: We had Ground & Co. cater our wedding garden party a few years ago and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish! Every detail was taken care of and our guests couldn’t have been happier. We offered three main course options along with a beautiful dessert table. The food was outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Ground & Co., we were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing the catering was in such capable hands. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

06/09/2025: Good service. Delicious, but the fried noodles had a lot of burnt material... The pot wasn't cleaned properly.
