22/10/2025: Stopped in for a quick Irish coffee, stayed for a couple pints after that. Nice cozy spot. Bartenders friendly and welcoming- even when it gets very busy :)

07/10/2025: Call in on Saturday & Sunday. Bar staff were excellent and pints were delicious. Keep up the good work

16/10/2025: The scones were absolutely delicious and quite large! We enjoyed on the train to Dublin. They offered a buy 3 get the 4th free deal. Perfect for our group ❤️

02/02/2026: Food is bang average, atmosphere is good very lively Now I must say it’s very busy Had my back support taken from me Got the full Irish and the bread tasted like barnacles and aswell one of my friends had her order dismissed The food takes a while so don’t go here if your starving or hanging out

29/11/2025: A massive thank you to Aileen and all the staff who were so accommodating and helpful. The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. I would highly recommend to any group that wants to catch up over delicious food and perfect cocktails in a central location.

05/11/2025: The cafe was closed due to covid-19, so that was a bummer, but understandable. What I don’t understand is why such a small tv. The real bad thing is - the WiFi was down for 30 minutes!

02/11/2025: Galway is fantastic, and Salthill is even more beautiful. The accommodation is highly recommended. The location in Salthill is fantastic, only 300 metres from the Atlantic Ocean. Very cosy, large room, great room service and super friendly host. Galway is only 10 minutes away by bus. Greetings from Germany

07/03/2026: I love how aesthetically pleasing this place is. The service is top-notch. The space is bright and welcoming. I'm glad I was able to order the continental breakfast, which was delicious and healthy. We also had a burger.

24/02/2026: I just wanted to start off by saying I am not one to ever leave a bad or negative review for a business but we are so upset and incredibly disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. My partner had booked a table for Valentine’s Day well in advance and received multiple confirmation emails confirming our reservation. We were really looking forward to a special evening together. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was completely closed. There was no notice, no explanation — nothing. We tried calling multiple times while standing outside, but no one answered the phone. It was extremely embarrassing and upsetting, especially on an occasion that is meant to be special. To make matters worse, I sent an email the Monday after Valentine’s Day to raise the issue and at least receive some form of acknowledgement or apology. We have heard absolutely nothing back. Not even a basic response to acknowledge their mistake. Our entire evening was ruined, and the complete lack of communication or accountability since then has made the situation even more disappointing. We understand that issues can arise, but the total absence of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable. We won’t be returning and would not recommend booking here for any occasion

05/03/2026: I often come here to do some bit of study and enjoy a coffee 3-4 times a week. Joe and the rest of the staff are consistently friendly, attentive, helpful and professional. The welcoming atmosphere and reliable service make this a place I am always happy to return to.

17/12/2025: Grind (Briarhill) is a real Find, a cafe really worth seeking out & aiming for, regardless of what else brings you to Galway, in fact Grind deserves to be the reason itself for travelling to Galway. Overall, great ambience, layout, buzz, comfort, menu.. Great food, great coffee. But most of all really attentive fantastic service by the multitude of servers. We were late converts to Grind, only discovering its' sister Dock Street branch a week before it closed 🙁 - but Grind Briarhill is even better🙂🙂 Thanks!

09/03/2026: Best restaurant in Galway, in fact best restaurant in Ireland hands down. Has been consistently brilliant since it opened thanks to Conor the owner. Atmosphere is buzzy and great people watching. I would highly recommend.

03/03/2026: Disgusted. Was hoping for dessert and wine at 10pm to finish the evening. Were rudely seated and then completely ignored for a good while despite trying to catch the waitrons attention. The restaurant was empty and 3 waitrons just chatting Really unacctable given the amazing options around the corner. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we stumbled accross Augustin next door. Amazing!!

13/03/2026: The crepes were absolutely amazing! I went in with no expectations and I was actually blown by them. We had the savoury crepes and they were crispy yet soft and extremely yum. And the hot chocolate was quite perfect too.
