Sonny Molloy's in Galway

Love this spot right in the heart of Galway city! The food is always delicious and the whiskey choices are fantastic.

Had a quick and easy lunch, the stew was delicious and staff was very kind

Really great place, very tasty food and excellent service. There are many nukes and crannies with tables and many bars. It's a popular place for whiskey.

My wife and I sat down at the bar and weren't really greeted or tended to, we had to catch the bartenders attention to place our order. It didn't seem like he had too many things going on as he was chatting with his coworkers. We did get some interesting facts out of him when he did engage with us, that a local woodworker wraps a 'Sonny Molloy's' laser etched piece of wood around a flask for them to sell. We promptly added it to our bill and paid after 2 Guiness and a neat Jameson. The bottles of Whisky that surround the pub make for an interesting decor, there was no shortage of Readbreast and Middleton bottles. It did look as though they also had their own Labled whisky and beer selections.

Great food. Service brilliant. Atmosphere rich homely and cosy with real open fire. Prices very good. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite bars in Galway. Great atmosphere, bartenders are very friendly. Awesome spot for a drink (or two) and dinner! Wish this was my local bar, I’d go all the time!

We only had drinks - the staff were very friendly and helpful to the American tourists who were asking questions about the drinks. Their own stout was a little sour and tangy for my liking and the prices match Galway - on the more expensive end.
