The best restaurants in Galway

09/09/2024: So glad it was open! The late place to be. It was wild how all these bars were interconnected like a labyrinth. Faaaarrrrrr too loud without earplugs, but they had the best mixed drink I'd never heard of: A Dingleberry. Yup. That name. Super tasty. Try it!

31/07/2024: The staff are brilliant, the Guinness and cocktails supreme.

26/10/2024: Stopped off with a football team for pre match meal. service from Mark and the team. Food was excellent and they couldn’t be more accomodating!

19/10/2024: Everything good. Rooms spotless, breakfast was very good, we also paid 30 euro for late check out. Well worth tte extra

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

04/10/2024: Max was great! The ambiance was amazing and the food good. Recommend if you want good seafood chowder or stew.

10/07/2024: We visited from UK and was really shocking to see this was the only LGBTQ+ bar in Galway. Bar was very small and atmosphere was definitely off! However host and bar persons were brilliant! Music was available on request which is always fun and plenty to choose from on the cocktail menu

03/07/2024: From Canada, in Galway durin our spring break in March. I had horrible experience. Looked up gay bar. Excited to go on late aftenoon with my str8 brother in law. Just to be made fun and ridiculd by bad queen i guess hosting a str8 girls night. All for that and great for doing...but once we walked in, door not locked, NOT EVEN A SIGN OUTSIDE saying closed fir private event. Once i heard it say thats why door is closed...made me sooo pissed off at how you treat new guests. In my world, you put a sign on door saying private party. Not make fun of tourist who just wanted to go to safe gay place. I will NOT recommend this place, and hope someone will open another gay place to go...or at least fire that wannabe queen. She not even a princess.....just trash.

28/10/2024: Best pancakes in town! I discovered this place recently and I must say it’s my favorite place for lunch now. Good coffee and very friendly staff! Highly recommended.

16/10/2024: The Pad Thai was pretty good, it was a little sweet for me, but maybe I just prefer mine a little bit spicier. We also ordered the curry, and the curry was really really great!

30/10/2024: At Giovannis they have the best kebabs in town⭐ and I know what I'm talking about. I have been a customer for years and have never been disappointed in either the quality of the food or the service. The kebabs are fresh, full of vegetables, with crispy buns or pittas, a variety of sauces, something delicious for everyone. The fries are made from real potatoes and cooked in beef fat, not vegetable oil. We usually place our order over the phone, and the man who takes orders deserves a medal, he is so patient and precise that it is really rare. I highly recommend Giovannis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

24/10/2024: I end up here every time I'm in the area. If you like pizza then this place might make you love pizza instead. A little tad pricey, but a treat now and again. Staff are very sound, food is fresh, and location helps.

15/10/2024: This place served the blandest food I’ve ever had, (and as an Australian that is saying something) also very over priced. If you dont want to waste €200 just keep walking. Servers were lovely though

16/10/2024: Very very disappointed This has been my go-to for a weekend brunch for months now. Today I ordered my usual BLT sandwich without bacon The sandwich arrived and I had half of it in the restaurant and the rest I had for takeaway. Eating the sandwich at home and I see a single streak of bacon I was absolutely taken by surprise by this This alteration was due to religious reasons so to realize it was not taken seriously makes me absolutely shocked. For a restaurant that serves hypoallergenic food such as dairy free and vegan I would’ve expected better Shocking to say the least.
