The best restaurants in Galway

18/02/2026: Food is just ok. Ingredients could be fresher. It's overpriced. Perhaps one day a decent kebab shop with reasonable prices will magically appear over the horizon..

10/02/2026: The food was not the best, but was affordable and open late. The doner meat didn’t have much flavor so I would recommend having extra sauce to make up for it.

21/02/2026: We had a great experience in the Golden Rickshaw, the food was excellent and the service was out of this world. Thank you Dawn, we will be back.

26/12/2025: I have been going here for a long time and service is always nice, but yesterday was my first time getting food poisoning ever and it was out of here. Very unfortunate as I always looked forward to eating here.

13/11/2025: The best pizza in Galway! I have been ordering from them for a few years now and the quality of the food is always made to the best standards! The portions are also very generous and the food is simply delicious! I highly reccomend!

21/02/2026: So-so. It's very large, which is a plus, and the food, well, what can I say? KFC is KFC, but the worst thing here is the service in the kitchen. The orders arrived mixed up, and one person got something different. So mediocre.

21/02/2026: Great food tastes fresh but place is very dirty everytime I’ve been here which I’ve tried to give it a fair chance so I’ve come a few times to this kfc and it’s never been clean.

28/09/2025: Very good restaurant, fast service, one problem however: the aperitif is served at the same time as the starter, but this does not change the quality of the food.

27/09/2025: This place is surprisingly unstable. We visit occasionally, and are usually satisfied. Yesterday we were thinking about visiting during the oyster festival, but the prices are high. We get them delivered to our home, and with delivery, they're a third cheaper. A full dose is 18-24 euros straight from the farms. Nearby, at the Japanese restaurant, they were offering a gift tasting. Free. What a treat! Overall, maybe, but not great.

28/09/2025: Staff are always friendly and Guinness is great. Great price for a Guinness. Great pub for the local neighborhood.

30/11/2024: Relaxed vibes with luxury treatment. The staff are excellent, professional, and attentive. The only down side to the menu is that I am not local so I can’t try it all. Each dish’s flavor profiles were married so exquisitely. Each bite made lasting memories as I savored every last crumb. This restaurant has set a new standard for me.

16/12/2025: . Kitchen unorganised. Waited too long for food (35mins). Burgers are on the menu that they don’t have. Was given house chips instead. Only 2 slices pepperoni, a few hidden pieces of bacon with a nice sauce and basic chips.

20/11/2025: Food was ok. Service was very slow. 2.5 hours for 3 course dinner and half an hour was waiting for the bill. Music was too loud in the restaurant and noise levels from nearby tables makes it difficult to hear your table companions further away.

21/01/2026: Food is good but on our last few orders was barely any Cantonese sauce on my duck, so ended up being very dry, bit disappointing. Shouldn't be for that price!

06/12/2025: A combination of Asian best. You can find Thai, Malay, Hong Kong, and pan-asian cuisine in this place! Superb taste! Jalan Jalan brings Galway closer to Southeast Asia than ever! Highly recommended!

02/02/2026: Service was very slow despite there being 3/4 tables. Some of the staff were very unfriendly. Breakfast wasn't well flavoured. Overall a disappointing breakfast

27/01/2026: I got breakfast here one Sunday morning and it was beautiful food. The staff were lovely. The place is really clean and comfortable. I would recommend.

17/03/2026: Myself and my partner came for lunch here today for St Patrick’s Day, and to say we were appalled is an understatement….we felt very unwelcome as soon as we came in the door. Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. They were staring at us for the whole duration of our meal as if we were going to do a runner out of the place. In the middle of our meal, we were looking over at the bar to see what they had on draught, and one of the workers came over to ask us why were we “ANALYSING” the bar. Pints were rotten, got a pint of Smithwicks and a Pint of Coors, and by the taste of the pints, they definitely do NOT clean the pipes. Food was alright, bog standard, but I definitely wouldn’t be rushing back here unless you want horrible service and made feel unwelcome.

12/03/2026: The food has a lot to be desired. The service was slow. The waiter was nice I guess. But I would definitely pass on this place.

10/03/2026: I've never experienced such a despicable act in a restaurant as what happened at this place: the moment they placed the beer glass in our hand, it completely spilled. We called the waitress over, and after cleaning the table, they brought another one. To our shock, they charged us for. that replacement glass! When the bill arrived, we complained that we hadn't even tasted the first one by accident. She went to consult with the manager, and they charged us for it without a second thought. Aside from this appalling incident, the food is meager and expensive; some dishes are good, and the rest are just average. Moreover, the person in charge responded to this review denying it. There are three witnesses, plus the waitress who went to ask him.

04/03/2026: best sushi i ever had. also the restaurant is just really pretty i love everything about this place. we had to wait for a while for our food and it was kind of expensive but it was 1000% worth it❤ would totally recommend
