11/06/2026: Rooms are average, breakfast is okay but dinner and service is super!

08/06/2026: While it's not walking distance from anything special, it's a very nice hotel with friendly staff. I had no trouble finding a parking place. We had to leave for the airport in Dublin before the breakfast service opened.

24/08/2026: Paid for a meal at the drive thru, no fries included when I got home

17/08/2026: I went to the drive thru with my friends where we ordered 4 chicken guojons meals. We were asked to park and wait which we did. The young lad who dropped us out our food then promptly told us to “now F*** off” when he dropped us out our food. I’ve never been spoken to like this in my life and I worked in food service for 7 years. Will not be going back. Very very disappointed with this young man’s attitude

21/09/2026: A fine KFC establishment like many around Ireland and the UK that I've had the pleasure to frequent. Relatively clean and fast. Notably they had a "roll" on the menu, essentially a sub-roll sandwich, with a fillet cut up into it. Which I unfortunately was allured into purchasing. Would not recommend. However, the remainder of the menu ordered by my friends was as expected, delicious and seasoned with them mysteries herbs and spices. Would recommend a visit, but be wary of the sub-roll on the menu, if you see it.

02/09/2026: We tried the chicken biryani and shrimp and both were good the butter chicken was just average.

25/08/2026: I was rushing to the bus station and spotted this fantastic cozy coffee shop. It was ONE minute before it's closure but a young lady made me cappuccino to go regardless! Top service, thank you! Things like these make people come back, very well done. Coffee was outstanding btw

26/05/2026: Great pub for the ceol agus craic. Live music, cozy booths and friendly service. They don't do food and the patio can be quite smoky when it gets full up. Live music, a good pint, and good people. What else could you need?

30/08/2026: Freeney's Bar is one of Galway's oldest and most charming traditional family-run pubs. Located in the heart of the quaint Latin Quarter at 19 High Street, this historic establishment has been welcoming customers since 1938. Originally founded by Martin and Julia Freeney as a bar, grocery, and gun shop, the establishment has evolved over time. Today, the grocery has been transformed into a fishing and outdoor shop adjacent to the pub. Interestingly, the exterior window still displays Swiss Army knives, Zippo lighters, and fishing lures, so much so that some passersby struggle to recognize it as a pub. Inside, the authentic atmosphere of yesteryear reigns supreme, with traditional wooden counters equipped with period dividers ("snugs") for maximum privacy. Ordering from Freeney's is a must, thanks to one of the largest collections of rare Irish whiskeys in the city. In addition to spirits, it is renowned for serving one of the best and most excellent pints of Guinness in all of Galway, ideal to accompany their classic and much-loved toasties (traditional hot cheese sandwiches).
