16/03/2025: iced latte was really bad, very weak with too much syrup it’s a very fake kind of sickly sweetness. staff were lovely and the food looked nice but all i tried was the coffee and i wouldn’t recommend that

15/03/2025: Excellent mocha, pretty good breakfast burrito, very nice server/baristas. Good stop for a quick breakfast before a day of pub crawling.

06/07/2025: Not gourmet. Poached eggs were hard as bullets, toast was cold, tomatoes not cooked. Scrambled eggs were nice, and large - possibly 4 eggs! Smashed avocado was nice. Coffee drinkable and average.

16/06/2025: Came here yesterday with our family for a light snack. All the staff were nice and friendly. We sat outside as the weather was dry and getting sunny. I had tea which was nice and strong and in a big teapot, enough for 2 people easily and the nicest blueberry muffin ever 😋. The kids had iced coffees, brownies and muffins. My husband had a coffee. My daughter had orange juice which was proper freshly squeezed and she said tasted delicious. The brownies were lovely homemade like the muffins. Will definitely call back the next time we're in Salthill.

03/06/2025: Good food, bakery items and ice cream. 3 stars because the coffee is terrible and over priced. If you want a good coffee in Salthill go to Kali, Ré or Jungle.

01/07/2025: I always enjoy Supermac's and will generally choose them over any other fast food joint anywhere in ireland. Unfortunately, they continue to have a serious achillies heel in their chips. They simply don't cook them enough, never have, always pale and anaemic looking. Inconsistent, some will be OK but generally soggy and tasting raw in the centre. Please, please, please just cook them for another little bit, and you'll be a full 5 star place. I do not normally get a full meal in Macs as I try anything to avoid the chips, but i thought I'd try one more time, and I'm sorry to say no improvement. On this occasion, I also saw the table beside us return their chips as they were underdone..... It's a constant problem. Otherwise, brilliant burgers, Ireland best onion rings, and my youngest declared the veggie burger the best they've ever had.

03/06/2025: Place used to be great. Good coffee, great bread and pastries, although quite pricey. Lately the coffee is really bad, i guess it depends on what member of the staff does it. Pastries are good so if they sort out the coffee situation they would deserve a higher rate.

07/06/2025: Brilliant for huge breakfast and so delicious. We been there several times already and their breakfast dishes are second to none. Portion sizes are huge and staff super friendly and attentive.

29/06/2025: We love going to City Grub! The food is great and Aqueel, the manager, is such a lovely man. He's so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend City Grub for some chips after a night out!

29/06/2025: No reservation. Welcomed and seated immediately. My husband had the burger and I had the beef and Guinness stew. Both were delicious as was the apple pie dessert that followed. Friendly staff. I would recommend and return!

30/06/2025: The food was great. Its a lovely place for a drink or a bit. They are a bit understaffed. One poor girl had to serve all the tabels. She did great, but it took a bit of extra time.

20/06/2025: You have a short employee with orange hair who wears prescription glasses. Her attitude is disrespectful and lacks courtesy and professionalism. She consistently displays discriminatory behavior .and this is not the first time. She always looks angry and frowning. I waited a long time to place my order, and she ignored me multiple times. When I returned again, she deliberately ignored me once more and instead went on to serve customers who came after me with a big smile and welcoming attitude. After more than 30 minutes, she finally brought the order — and it was extremely poor in quality, appearance, and taste. This is disappointing, especially considering that I regularly visit your place. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the other staff members are respectful, courteous, and professional. Their service is always of high quality, and they reflect positively on your establishment. Unfortunately, this specific employee with the orange hair is the exception. She truly needs intensive training in customer service, attitude, and professionalism, as her behavior leaves a very negative impression that doesn’t reflect the quality and standards of your place.

04/06/2025: Got the Carbonara for two. Plus one coke zero at the cost of €30 odd euro. Both people the food was bought for said it was awful and only had one bite before it went in the bin. First time ordering food here and it will be the last 😤

19/06/2025: Had a cup of tea today, exceptional. Lovely girl serving. What was more pleasing was the treatment the staff showed to the older clients. Well done 👏
