The best restaurants in Galway

07/05/2026: The staff is very friendly, but unfortunately, the breakfast is very basic and repetitive; the bread and other items are dry. The advertised indoor pool is a public one, and swimming caps are mandatory. It's very noisy, as children's groups also use it for lessons, so it's not a relaxing place. The restaurant in the evening doesn't offer much choice and is a bit overpriced considering the portion size. The location is good; you can quickly reach the beach and the nearest bus stop in about 10 minutes.

30/06/2026: Very small but worth the find.. I love an Açai bowl.. and this one was beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I throughly enjoyed my treat

12/07/2026: I came here once because I didn't have my polish citizenship card for next door. We waited thirty minutes for food. I walked up to the counter asking what the delay was as although the place had a few tables we were the first to order. She said she just needed thirty more minutes. I got a refund and left.

07/07/2026: We stopped in today on a whim and found the best pizza and homemade pasta in the city! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is perfect for people-watching, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was absolutely top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back!

29/06/2026: Just walked in to have dinner 7:30 Monday evening. Myself and my teenager and were refused a table for two even though there were two sets of tables free but they were for 4 people … not reserved! That’s shocking money grabbing! We just wanted two main courses…. Nope .. won’t break a four top! Rude rude rude!

17/03/2026: I love the hot chocolate from here and get it whenever I can! It’s quite rich and not too sweet. The staff are quite lovely and although it’s a small shop they are very quick with the orders.

07/07/2026: We Visited to the restaurant last week. Being an International student away from India I missed my Indian food a lot and I never found the similar authentic taste anywhere in ireland . But when I tasted the food here ❤️It was heaven . Perfectly delicious,authentic and too good. The staff and the Owner were very kind and helpful. Had to wait after ordering but after having the food we forgot everything.We literally went 4 times in a week there and will visit more.. Best place for Indian cuisine 😍Highly recommended…

05/07/2026: Visited early Saturday teatime, restaurant was virtually empty apart from around 3 tables which were taken , we waited at the door to be seated, but no one came as they were busy chatting amongst themselves at the bar, so we sat at an empty table. We were advised that they were extremely busy that evening so would only be able to have that table for around 45 minutes, no problem we said that will be fine. Minutes later we were asked to move to another table which we did. We ordered starters and mains. From start to finish we were rushed. They were keen to remove plates and get the main meal out. Not very welcoming at all. Food was average, customer service was poor this time round, won't be returning. Such a shame as we have been several times when we have visited Galway. Very disappointing.

12/07/2026: Great experience at Kumar Taste of Asia in Galway, centrally located! The sizzler platter was generous, fresh, and full of flavour. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked—soft, buttery, and packed with garlic. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and had an authentic taste that really stood out. Every dish was well-prepared and bursting with flavour. Excellent food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Galway!

09/07/2026: Rajma masala and onion jeera nice was good. Raita was a bit too sour for my liking. The complimentary papad was a nice touch. Vegetarian spring roll was above average. Some music would have been nice.

24/07/2026: Good service, pleasant atmosphere and good sushi (with a little too much rice unfortunately).

26/07/2026: A delightful find whilst wandering round Galway! Loved the outside so popped in for food. Very pretty, beautifully designed, spacious. Lovely sandwiches or salad bowls or warm food; not expensive. Next door is an equally beautiful restaurant in Hyde.

13/07/2026: Underwhelming: They used way too much pepper, the coffee was not included in the 14.50€, not even a bottle of water was brought to us. The ordered cappuccino never came (legends say, the barista is still working on it). Yes the ambience was nice, but not enough to forget the rest.
