17/12/2025: Grind (Briarhill) is a real Find, a cafe really worth seeking out & aiming for, regardless of what else brings you to Galway, in fact Grind deserves to be the reason itself for travelling to Galway. Overall, great ambience, layout, buzz, comfort, menu.. Great food, great coffee. But most of all really attentive fantastic service by the multitude of servers. We were late converts to Grind, only discovering its' sister Dock Street branch a week before it closed 🙁 - but Grind Briarhill is even better🙂🙂 Thanks!

17/07/2025: Franchement , ambiance sympa , personnel sympathique … on a super bien mangé … on recommande pleinement… bien placé en ville … la musique pas trop forte ce qui rend ce moment très agréable et tout ça avec le sourire des serveurs

29/06/2025: No reservation. Welcomed and seated immediately. My husband had the burger and I had the beef and Guinness stew. Both were delicious as was the apple pie dessert that followed. Friendly staff. I would recommend and return!

17/12/2025: We couldn’t find a table at other good restaurants as it was a very busy night in August and, unfortunately, ended up here. I ordered the dry-aged rib eye steak and it was terrible! I told them medium and it came rare. They didn’t care that much when I told them, put it back on the grill for a few minutes and came back still on the rare side. The meat itself was tasteless and felt like a poor quality steak. My wife got a burger and it was mediocre at best. 100 euros spent on a bad meal! Spend your money elsewhere and make reservations for dinner in high season.

23/12/2025: Ordered 2 X breakfast rolls with coffee and tea. Weren't left waiting long and when I brought them down to table, opened them and immediately sealed them back up again..... Manager gave me a refund after telling me I was wrong..... Omg, RAW rashers and a total mess. I or my partner were not eating that!!! The owner does spot checks so please read this, check out this spot and order this before someone gets food poisoning. A disgrace of a Supermacs. Love Supermacs but this place really let's them down.

02/01/2026: Stayed for new years eve with 2 grandchildren and in there room were selecton boxes and colouring books from santa they were delighted we spent the night in bar and everyone got a drink of bubbly to see in the new year it was the little things that made it extra special

02/01/2026: Hotel was perfect, we had dinner in the bar which was amazing, hotel room was nice we got an upgrade when we arrived to a very nice room. Highly recommend

27/09/2025: This place is surprisingly unstable. We visit occasionally, and are usually satisfied. Yesterday we were thinking about visiting during the oyster festival, but the prices are high. We get them delivered to our home, and with delivery, they're a third cheaper. A full dose is 18-24 euros straight from the farms. Nearby, at the Japanese restaurant, they were offering a gift tasting. Free. What a treat! Overall, maybe, but not great.

01/12/2025: The sandwich was good, the wait time was short despite it saying it was busy, and the workers were nice and polite.

21/11/2025: Ordered ahead through the app, the employee was zoned out when i arrived and never started my order. Took forever to make the food, sandwiches were okay, wrap was horrible. Employee may wipe hands on pants and touch everything then proceed to touch your sandwich. I love subway, this was highly disappointing.

26/12/2025: I have been going here for a long time and service is always nice, but yesterday was my first time getting food poisoning ever and it was out of here. Very unfortunate as I always looked forward to eating here.

13/11/2025: The best pizza in Galway! I have been ordering from them for a few years now and the quality of the food is always made to the best standards! The portions are also very generous and the food is simply delicious! I highly reccomend!

20/10/2025: Excellent. We had spiced chicken burger and a smashed burger. Service was brilliant, efficient and friendly.

01/08/2025: Great place, part of a sort-of larger complex of sorts. We were sat in the adjacent building with food from the other location. We had a local and international flight. The tonic went really well (not a big fan of tonic) with all the gins. The "international" flight went about as far abroad as Co. Kerry but I digress. All the gins were great, it was fun comparing and contrasting their various characters. I thought the local gin of Nora's stood up decently well against the others. The garnishes were paired well, but I was left with a slight feeling that the difference in fruit (the international flight was limited to lemon/lime/orange) made it a tad bit more difficult to directly compare the gins. On the other hand there is the argument of pairing each gin well to show it at its best I suppose. Thoroughly enjoyed the flights and the little information mats underneath.

24/11/2025: Quite disappointed with recent experience here (having been here a nr of times previously). Kids ordered pancakes. Pancakes that came out were undercooked and very doughy. Didn't make a big deal out of it but only comment from main staff employee was limited acknowledgement of our comments on the pancakes; there was no offer of any sort of discount on the food and then had the temerity to ask apart from the pancakes was everything else OK with the food, as if to suggest that 1 issue on its own was no big deal. Pity as we have gone here plenty of times. The service provided by previous staff was at a higher level and more sincere.
