This is a great hotel but it’s not really within walking distance of anything but we had a car and loved the soundproofed room:)!!! Thanks to Jack who helped us get into a different room that suited us better. We definitely wouldn’t hesitate coming back!

I stayed at The g Hotel twice during my recent trip to Ireland and, unfortunately, both stays confirmed the same conclusion: this is not a five-star luxury experience.
The most concerning issue was cleanliness. On both visits, we found hair on the bed sheets. Once is a mistake; twice across separate stays is a pattern. Management's response during the second stay was a complimentary ginger ale and beer, an appreciated gesture, but one that felt entirely disproportionate to the issue.
Service consistently fell short of luxury standards. After a 10+ hour international flight, we waited nearly an hour for our room. Staff watched us struggle with heavy luggage without offering assistance, and the lack of a true 24-hour bell service was surprising for a property marketed as five-star.
We also booked through Chase Travel and were entitled to complimentary breakfast and other benefits, yet these were never mentioned during our first stay, causing us to miss out entirely. It was only during our second visit that Yash proactively reviewed our reservation and corrected the oversight.
To be fair, Yash and Łukasz were exceptional and were the only employees who consistently demonstrated the level of hospitality expected from a luxury hotel.
As someone who frequently stays at Aman, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and other luxury properties and regularly recommends hotels to friends, family, colleagues, and professional networks this was a significant missed opportunity. Luxury hotels command luxury prices because they deliver exceptional service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The g Hotel charges accordingly but does not consistently deliver on that promise.
For travelers seeking luxury in Ireland, I would recommend Ashford Castle or The Westbury. The difference in service and overall guest experience is night and day.

Great property with beautiful amenities. It's a quiet location away from the action - just a short taxi ride to downtown. We loved the breakfast offerings and enjoyed a drink in the bar in the evening. Spacious bathroom and room.

Me & my sister stayed here last Sunday night & it was everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel & more! Fabulous from start to finish, from the warm staff, gorgeous room & the extra touches as we were celebrating a birthday. We had dinner also which was stunning. Highly recommend 👌

A most enjoyable stay. Three of us stayed to celebrate one of our groups birthday. The G hotel is a very special stay. We could not say enough about ALL the staff we came in contact with. Were made feel very welcome and the Birthday Girl was delighted with the lovely touches to make her feel special. The G exceeded our expectations. We would return. P.s. Great Value!
I would recommend it for a 'Hotel Stay Experience' instead of a hotel to stay in if you plan to Party in Galway City.

We stayed at the g hotel for 4 nights, Mon 20th April until Fri 24th April 2026. What can we say? Wow!! When we arrived, we received a free upgrade from our King Superior Room to a Junior Suite. Not expected, but very welcomed!
The suite was beautiful and so big! His & hers sinks. His & hers showers. A roll top bathtub.
Oh and a king-sized, comfortable bed! The air con in the suite was fabulous! The room was so quiet. We did not hear one noise from any other hotel guests as they passed in the corridor. A refreshing change for a hotel with lots of rooms. We loved it......
And as for the breakfasts. Omg, it was worth the cost of the hotel just for that! Beautifully prepared, cooked & served to your table by the best, most courteous staff we have ever known! Nothing was too much for them. They made us feel special. All the staff, from reception, concierge, housekeeping & the dining room staff were wonderful, but we would like to mention one in particular, Ricardo in the dining room! What a wonderfully polite, classy gentleman he is and very friendly & personable!
We would have no hesitation in booking/staying at the g hotel again and indeed, can not wait to return! Fabulous!
Thank you to all staff for making it so wonderful for my wife & I.

Spent two nights in the G hotel and it was nothing short of fantastic. Firstly the room was stunning and we were given an upgrade for my girlfriends birthday which was a really nice touch. The room was comfortable, quiet, lots of space, great size TV and really comfortable bed and robes. The staff were all extremely pleasant. Everyone always smiling and saying hello, nothing was too much for them and they made everything so easy. The Spa was also fantastic, not too crowded and a really ideal place to chill out. It's a tiny bit outside of Galway city but a short 5 minute drive in and you are arround the bars and restaurants. Overall our experience in the G hotel was fantastic.

We have been upgraded to a Junior Suite and we found chocolates for my wife's birthday with a card and it was a nice touch.
The suite was awesome, the bathroom had two showers and a bath. Everything was immaculate.
Breakfast was awesome, just the service wasn't great and it's the only negative aspect of the whole stay. The waiter forgot most of our requests and he was very slow. But the quality of the breakfast was unbelievable and we would recommend to everyone!
The Spa was beautiful and romantic!

Just leaving after a fabulous few days, room was gorgeous, mattress & bed linen excellent, had the best nights sleep, nespresso machine and goodie bag on arrival a lovely touch. Fab breakfast, great selection. The staff at the G hotel are exceptional, so friendly & professional & they go above and beyond for the guests, especially Jack on reception,Aman & Jules at breakfast… can’t remember the waiter & waitress name at dinner on both nights but again they were so lovely & accommodating… & they make a mean signature cocktail, delicious!
Also to mention we spent a couple of hours in the thermal suite @ The Spa yesterday,so relaxing,we loved it!
Highly recommend …thanks for a lovely stay

We had a lovely time, staff super friendly upon arrival and brought suitcases to our room. Room was ok, nothing fancy - no major changes since we last stayed but the treats in the room were a nice touch. Lovely slippers and dressing gowns in wardrobe. Bathroom was spacious, big bath, big shower but no hand cream. My mother was disappointed that there wasn't any especially in a 5 star hotel. Food was ok, we had starter, main, dessert - again nothing special. View was nice. Cocktails were good. Breakfast was tasty but along time waiting, others who came in after us had their order taken before us so we flagged someone down to take our order. We didn't bother with the spa. Overall a beautiful hotel with nice staff and we enjoyed our stay.
