Dela
Galway
06/05/2026: Tucked into a lively Galway street, this breakfast spot feels like the kind of place you “accidentally” discover once… and then mysteriously return to every morning after. The first thing that hits you is the aroma of coffee, rich, warm, and just persuasive enough to make you forget whatever plans you had before walking in.
The coffee here isn’t just good, it’s the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider your standards. Smooth, balanced, and brewed with obvious care, it sets the tone for everything else that follows.
Then comes the food. The menu reads like a love letter to local ingredients, with fresh, thoughtfully sourced produce shining in every dish. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked breakfast plate, flaky pastries, or something a bit more inventive, everything tastes like it was made that morning… because it probably was. There’s a brightness to the flavors that only comes from ingredients that haven’t traveled halfway across the world to meet your fork.
But what really elevates the place is the atmosphere, carried almost entirely by the staff. They welcome you like you’ve been coming in for years, even if it’s your first visit. Service is warm, quick without feeling rushed, and sprinkled with just the right amount of humor to make your morning lighter.
All together, it’s more than just a breakfast stop. It’s a small daily ritual waiting to happen, powered by excellent coffee, honest food, and genuinely kind people.
30/04/2026: We had breakfast at Dela and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the coffee was good. The food was also delicious, and we would definitely come back.

Greens & Co
Galway
03/01/2026: Great vegan food served by very nice people.
30/12/2025: A very, very nice place. Great food. Great atmosphere with fairy lights and plants. The service was very friendly despite the large number of guests. It was really great.
I think it would be better to have one more staff member during peak hours or when the city is busier.

Ruibin
Galway
17/05/2026: The food and service at RĂşibin's Restaurant was absolutely lovely. The selection of food and wine was very good and everything tasted delicious.
13/05/2026: What a wonderful place. My wife wanted a dirty martini for her birthday before dinner, and we were recommended RĂşibĂn. So glad we went. Jules seated us, and Richard made the best “dirty dingle” (dingle vodka dirty martini). We enjoyed it so much that we went back to the bar after dinner elsewhere to have espresso martinis and a cookie. Richard, Jules, and the whole gang are absolutely grand.

56 Central
Galway
05/05/2026: A galway gem for sure, food spot on ❤️ would certainly visit again
29/04/2026: This is a delightful spot in Galway that has AmAzInG food! The photos are after the meal... remains of Soup of the Day (vegetable and brown bread- delicious!) and ham and cheese sandwich with a small green salad on the side (excellent!). Beautiful atmosphere on a beautiful sunny day. We loved it!!

Monroe's
Galway
05/04/2026: Great vibe, great atmosphere, gets a bit crowded but most places do, very nice people.
04/04/2026: My friend and I stopped at Monroe's for lunch. We were blessed with the appearance of Remi, a friendly giant, who patrols the pub & check on guests (and their plates sometimes haha). The pub itself has a good atmosphere and very interesting signed posters on the ceiling! It was busy, but not chaotic busy. The staff was super friendly. We both ordered beef burgers, which were really really tasty, and of course, a pint of Guinness. We have also noticed the place hosts many gigs and other events, which is awesome!

Aniar
Galway
07/05/2026: It is difficult to reconcile this establishment’s Michelin-star status with the experience provided. The arrival process felt disorganized, as guests are initially left standing in the center of the dining room without clear direction.
The service and culinary execution also fell short of expectations for several reasons:
• Service & Atmosphere: The use of a pressurized wine preservation system at the table was distracting; the audible hiss of the gas during the pour detracted from the dining atmosphere.
• Menu Concept: The 24-course tasting menu felt over-engineered. The experience would likely benefit from a significant reduction in the number of courses to allow for a sharper focus on ingredient quality and cohesive flavoring. Many dishes were overly complex without a clear culinary narrative.
• Main Course: The choice of pork as the primary protein was underwhelming, particularly as the cut served was excessively fatty.
• Value Proposition: The "Premium" wine pairing, priced at €175, did not offer a selection that justified the cost.
While the technical execution of the cooking was generally sound, the lack of standout flavors and the disjointed nature of the menu make it difficult to recommend this as a high-value fine dining destination
27/04/2026: We loved our dining experience here. The creativity and intention behind every dish, decor, even down to the dish ware and cutlery - all highlighted regional Irish food and makers. Our server was amazing at giving us the lay of the land at the start of the meal. The chefs brought out each dish to explain in great detail what we were about to enjoy. A treat all around to experience this taste of Ireland and Irish culture. Best beet dish I have ever had. Venison tartare was absolutely stunning.
Pork and fish main courses were top notch.

Hyde
Galway
25/03/2026: I recently had a Full Irish breakfast at the Hyde Hotel in Galway, priced at €18.50, and found it to be fairly average for the cost. While the presentation initially seemed decent, it was disappointing to discover that the 5 or 6 rashers—hidden beneath the bread—were undercooked and really didn’t feel properly prepared. Overall, the experience didn’t quite justify the price. Service was good, albeit a slightly long waiting time.
24/03/2026: We went from pub to pub and nothing was really quenching my satisfaction. I enjoyed the Guinness but wanted more. I heard about this place so walked in without a reservation with hubby. Everyone was nice and we got a cute table right away. Ordered a flight of Irish gin and loved the experience! Bartender came and explained each in detail and then later made me an amazing drink no longer in the menu with rose petals and lemon sweet foam! It was Amazing! We ordered the spicy sausage pizza and mezze appetizer with hummus and nothing was left. We leave Galway tomorrow but everyone was so nice wish we could go back.

The Skeff
Galway
09/09/2025: The Skeff is part of the The Skeffington Arms Hotel. Food was very good. The Seafood Chowder and a couple of (non!) Stout beers from other parts of Ireland were a welcomed change of pace. IPA's, actually. One from Letterkenny, and the other from Kill, County Kildare. Other than the service being just a tad slow, it was (overall) very good. And the live music was magical this night. Okay...Not exactly magical, but covers from bands/artists that everyone knows, sung by a group of a youngish band of 3 called The Groev. They did a great job, actually.
09/09/2025: Authentic pub with fantastic food!
Service was rather mediocre.

Hooked
Galway
11/05/2026: Food was good. We had to wait for 15 minutes for staff to take our order. I think the staff forgot us. Sitting at the corner is easy for staff be out of sight and out of mind.
10/05/2026: Gluten Free Fish and Chips are what we came for. And they did not disappoint! The gf clam chowder was also delish (and I don’t even like clams.)
The servers and other cashiers were civil, but not very nice — and zero percent engaging. Seemed annoyed at having to attend to us (which they didn’t do a lot of.)
Totally worth it for the fish and chips tho.

The Kings Head
Galway
26/04/2026: Very popular pub/restaurant on the busiest street in Galway. Lots of tourists but the food is very good. Enormous rib-eyes, great onion rings, excellent chips. A bit crowded - tables seem a bit closer than need be but a positive experience.
25/04/2026: Wow. Just saying- it's an amazing place!
Food is gorgeous and such a nice and friendly staff! Try beef&Guinness stew and their potato boxy! And a rhubarb crumble with ice cream!
