An Pucan

Galway
11/04/2026: Myself and my wife went here for dinner our first night in Galway. I had the curry and she had the steak sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. We ended up staying there for the rest of the night, because the atmosphere and craic was great. They had some amazing music and the staff were so friendly.
04/04/2026: Outstanding lunch! This place has a lot of charm, the food was delicious and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. If we are ever back in Galway, would absolutely come back.

16/04/2026: Delicious traditional comfort food in Galway The old architecture and ambience are very charming and the good was served rather quickly and felt homemade. I recommend to try some Irish meals.

Kai

Galway
08/12/2025: The best seafood I had in Ireland. The seafood tower is a must try and great for a special occasion.
06/12/2025: The food was bland, unimaginative, and tasteless. We had a starter and a main course, but after these, we decided to skip dessert. There were only one size of wine glasses available, so we had to drink the Pinot Noir from a very small white wine glass. The service was inadequate and showed little interest in us, including our criticism. We felt that the service was somewhat arrogant and snobbish. We certainly won't be returning.

Cellar Bar

Galway
08/04/2026: We enjoyed this place so much that we came here twice during our visit in Galway, and both times were a wonderful experience. We tried the Wok Stir Fry with added Cajun chicken, the Chicken & Broccoli Pasta, and the Vegetable Curry with added Chicken. All of them were very delicious, and came in big portions. The prices were affordable. Lovely friendly staff.
07/04/2026: Please be careful when going here. My kids have severe food poisioning

Craft Shack

Galway
31/10/2025: Called in here for lunch during the week, was seated and had my order in front of me within 10/15 minutes. Their toasted sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich and chips were all super delicious and extremely well priced. Highly recommend stopping in here if you're in Athlone and looking for a tasty and affordable meal.
26/10/2025: Lovely place with good food. This is downtown so of course you can have some problem with parking but it worth

The Galleon Restaurant

Galway
27/03/2026: Came for a late lunch. Food was not great. Chicken Burger was decent but everything else was poor. Chips were terrible. Lasagna was just loaded with cheese and very greasy and we also saw another table send back their roast as they said it was inedible. There are definitely better options in Salthill.
26/03/2026: It was so amazing the service was great food was good.

Salthill Hotel

Galway
11/01/2026: Great staff, lovely food, and amazing rooms. Treated my daughter like royalty when they found out it was her birthday.
09/01/2026: Outdated and overpriced. This hotel is not worth ‘4 stars’. In my opinion, they have some neck to charge customers their prices. The signal is nearly non-existent on the first floor. I wasn’t acknowledged by staff at the table during breakfast - you have to ask them to bring you toast, heat up croissants/scones etc and order coffee separately as it’s not accessible at the buffet, plus there’s a price menu to pay for coffee even though I already paid for breakfast included in my room rate. I could go on and on, like the steam room wasn’t working and the button to release bubbles into the jacuzzi wasn’t functioning properly. The food was bland and lifeless. The only benefits were the gym as the equipment was a decent standard and free on-site parking. Do yourself a favour and save your money for another hotel.

Caprice

Galway
06/04/2026: Food is great. The waitress when we walked in wasn't friendly. She didnt even really speak at all just pointed at a table. The next waiter and waitress we had though were really friendly so it was a mixed bag. They are also very very strict on the menu it wasn't an issue for me but if you want to change in or out an item that is a full no no.
06/04/2026: A group of us wanted to meet here for some food and a catch up on bank holiday Monday. Some of us entered the premises and were left waiting for a table for 20 minutes. We were eventually seated upstairs which was completely empty. A girl then came to take our order. 5 of us ordered scones and coffees and one ordered an acai bowl and coffee. We were told it was not possible to only order pastries and at the weekend / bank holiday a full meal had to be ordered by every member at the table. The girl was very apologetic and left to see if there was anything she could do. The manager then came to tell us again we all had to order full meals. We just got up and left because we couldn't believe what we were hearing. The people that entered first from our group were never informed of this policy. It will be the last time any of us or any of our families / friends dine here. We are all local to Galway.
