28/11/2025: Has obviously changed with new owners but not for the better. Restaurant size is reduced for the inclusion of a bakers shop. Walls are now bare. The menu and choice has somewhat shrunk. Sorry not changed for the better. Left feeling disappointed that the must have breakfast in Donegal town is no more. NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

09/10/2025: Great food and atmosphere at Dock 84! 🍴☕️ We stopped into Dock 84 while in Donegal Town and had a really enjoyable experience. The place has a relaxed, modern vibe with plenty of space to sit back and enjoy a meal. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. 😊 I ordered the grilled chicken burger 🍔🐔 and it was excellent — the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, with fresh toppings and a soft bun that held everything together nicely. It was filling without being too heavy, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. My wife went for the waffle with a spread of Nutella 🧇🍫 and it was a real treat. The waffle was light and fluffy with just the right crisp on the outside, and the Nutella made it indulgent without being over the top. A perfect sweet option to balance out my savory choice. The second time we went we had egg shakshuka and Tikka wrap which was good again as usual One of the highlights here is that Dock 84 has its own bakery products 🥐🍞, and they are absolute delights — fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. It’s a lovely bonus alongside the main menu. Do note that there’s usually a wait time of around 15 minutes ⏳ throughout the day, but honestly, the food and atmosphere make it worth it. For convenience, there’s a car park directly in front of the café 🚗, though it is a paid one 💳, so keep that in mind if you’re driving in. Service was quick once seated, prices were fair 💶, and the location is ideal if you’re exploring Donegal Town 🏞️. Whether you’re after a hearty bite or something sweet, Dock 84 is a spot worth visiting. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town! 🙌

28/10/2025: Excellent restaurant. We had a group of 8 people. Service was very good and food was excellent. Very good atmosphere in the heart of Galway.

28/12/2025: Terrible, the duck had probably been dead for some time.

17/12/2025: We couldn’t find a table at other good restaurants as it was a very busy night in August and, unfortunately, ended up here. I ordered the dry-aged rib eye steak and it was terrible! I told them medium and it came rare. They didn’t care that much when I told them, put it back on the grill for a few minutes and came back still on the rare side. The meat itself was tasteless and felt like a poor quality steak. My wife got a burger and it was mediocre at best. 100 euros spent on a bad meal! Spend your money elsewhere and make reservations for dinner in high season.

28/09/2025: Very good restaurant, fast service, one problem however: the aperitif is served at the same time as the starter, but this does not change the quality of the food.

27/09/2025: This place is surprisingly unstable. We visit occasionally, and are usually satisfied. Yesterday we were thinking about visiting during the oyster festival, but the prices are high. We get them delivered to our home, and with delivery, they're a third cheaper. A full dose is 18-24 euros straight from the farms. Nearby, at the Japanese restaurant, they were offering a gift tasting. Free. What a treat! Overall, maybe, but not great.

17/07/2025: Franchement , ambiance sympa , personnel sympathique … on a super bien mangé … on recommande pleinement… bien placé en ville … la musique pas trop forte ce qui rend ce moment très agréable et tout ça avec le sourire des serveurs

29/06/2025: No reservation. Welcomed and seated immediately. My husband had the burger and I had the beef and Guinness stew. Both were delicious as was the apple pie dessert that followed. Friendly staff. I would recommend and return!

16/11/2025: Had a lovely breakfast with the family top breakfast. Can I have the menu or place u get them potato cubes

15/10/2025: Was highly disappointed with the Breakfast and was early when I was there. Staff looked like they didn't want be there. Place was very quiet not much to do. Breakfast food item were shocking, egg was hard, Rasher was as crisp not even the knife went through it, pudding didn't look great overdone,Beans could count what on plate only decent pieces left were hash brown sausages and toast. Had send all back chef wasn't to pleased but I was paying for it. I got fresh and edible breakfast to standard should have been. Got handed a cup for the tea handle ready come off had get that replaced. Clearly wasn't day eat in there.

27/10/2025: Very basic food experience. A limited menu, no substitutions or changes, so for example, there were 2 sandwiches on the menu and those were the only choices. It was not possible to have one without butter as ‘they come from the kitchen as described ‘. Handy spot if you are in a hurry but rather basic.

20/10/2025: Ordered coffee, flat white and scone, given the scone and flat white and told coffee would be ready shortly, had to go back and ask for the coffee, not busy at the time, no apology, disappointed

22/12/2025: Waited for over 5 min while 2 staff members walked by the counter ignoring people wating. When Deliveroo driver came in he was seen to. I was then ignored while the gentleman who came in after me was served. 0 stars, no atmosphere or customer service.

31/12/2024: Muy, muy decepcionado. Visita anualmente @xmas pero nunca más. Gnocchi no comestible, hamburguesas secas, patatas fritas tan fuerte rebotó cuando trató de comer con un tenedor, la merluza era horrible. Platos muy desnudos, sin ensalada de acompañamiento en cualquier plato. Los ñoquis solo tenían un pequeño trozo de pan de ajo, las porciones eran extremadamente pequeñas. No demasiado ocupado así que no hay excusa. Quedó esperando años para ordenar y de nuevo para pagar. Dije que la comida no era buena, pero le dije que no le diré disculpas al chef. No volveré.

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

18/12/2025: This is the second time I buy from them, the second time the same problem, they don't pay attention to what you order and make your food the way they want it not the way you ask, the staff is very rude, disrespectful, and they are paid from our money, if you want your business to continue to run, change the staff and give your customers what they ask for, I'm sorry but I will never buy from you again

29/12/2025: Another, and final, woeful visit to Supermacs Salthill. Years ago it was a well run fast food place. Today, seems anyone coming inside is an inconvenience to the staff. As on a previous visit recently, no member of staff acknowledged me queuing to place an order. I understand that they have previous orders to prepare, but a minor acknowledgement would let me know I was not queuing in vain. The six visible staff went round in circles with no communication to each other. Nobody leading, nobody prioritizing and nobody noticing when I walked out the door.

24/12/2025: Four weeks in a row I’ve had my burger order sat waiting not being handed out for no reason usually for 10-15 minutes for no reason, and each time the ingredients have either been missing or different all together,

05/11/2025: Ordered a regular beef burger meal for a seat in. After having my fries which where actually very tasty and my drink, I was so full. So I decided to bring my burger as take away, only to find out later that I was actually served a chicken burger instead. I was very disappointed. Even though I was disappointed I will still recommend eating there because the food is tasty and fresh, but maybe physically check your order at the till upon collection to avoid any disappointment.

03/11/2025: We order food to a hotel and received no forks with our food which you typically would but we also added a note to add forks. So I rang and a man answered I told him we didn't receive out forks and can't eat a taco chips with our hands. He told us we are at a hotel go get forks from them then hung up the phone. Whoever this man was should not be working in service with customers. Horrible service. Call was around 19:44

29/12/2025: I’m new to the city, but McCambridge’s already feels like it’s going to be one of my favourite spots. Amazing deli and grocery selection, great quality produce and local treats—and the café upstairs is a lovely bonus. Always worth a visit.

21/12/2025: I came in here looking for some oriental tea bags. Unfortunately, to my horror I seen the Derek Chauvin working there. Now I'm not much into the culture stuff myself but I've been thoroughly educated by my niece, who is a barista. So she knows all things politics in her career. That man took a knee for BLM but not in the correct way. A solid gold coffin wasnt enough.

30/11/2025: Don’t go here. There’s a really bad atmosphere caused by the rude staff. The waitress was very friendly but the lady taking orders and the chef were really rude and also treated the waitress completely unfairly, shouting at her making everyone there uncomfortable. The cleanliness and food was also poor. Would not recommend and think they should rethink how they treat their staff.

21/11/2025: Visited from the US. Lovely and affordable Irish breakfast. Sit upstairs for a cozier rustic atmosphere!
