The best restaurantsof irish in Galway

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

04/10/2024: Max was great! The ambiance was amazing and the food good. Recommend if you want good seafood chowder or stew.

22/10/2024: TheThe owner says that covid certs are a small price to pay for his business to remain open. Well given that you discriminate against unvaccinated people, I certainly won't be paying any price to keep you going. I'll be advising anyone I know not to ever eat here. Shame to give a bad review to a small business I've never actually eaten in that have gone through tough times but then it's a shame that restaurants like these will discriminate against the unvaccinated people like me who in reality pose as much risk to them as a fully vaccinated person, probably much less but time will guide us with that. History will judge you very badly, but I pray for you because you do not know what you are doing. Can't see any further than the nose on your face. But we will remember your stance when the truth comes to light. 15/10/2024: Cozy unique ancient space. Wonderfull seafood karen had the fried cod and I had grilles sea bass and we were amazed.

10/07/2024: We visited from UK and was really shocking to see this was the only LGBTQ+ bar in Galway. Bar was very small and atmosphere was definitely off! However host and bar persons were brilliant! Music was available on request which is always fun and plenty to choose from on the cocktail menu

03/07/2024: From Canada, in Galway durin our spring break in March. I had horrible experience. Looked up gay bar. Excited to go on late aftenoon with my str8 brother in law. Just to be made fun and ridiculd by bad queen i guess hosting a str8 girls night. All for that and great for doing...but once we walked in, door not locked, NOT EVEN A SIGN OUTSIDE saying closed fir private event. Once i heard it say thats why door is closed...made me sooo pissed off at how you treat new guests. In my world, you put a sign on door saying private party. Not make fun of tourist who just wanted to go to safe gay place. I will NOT recommend this place, and hope someone will open another gay place to go...or at least fire that wannabe queen. She not even a princess.....just trash.

30/10/2024: At Giovannis they have the best kebabs in town⭐ and I know what I'm talking about. I have been a customer for years and have never been disappointed in either the quality of the food or the service. The kebabs are fresh, full of vegetables, with crispy buns or pittas, a variety of sauces, something delicious for everyone. The fries are made from real potatoes and cooked in beef fat, not vegetable oil. We usually place our order over the phone, and the man who takes orders deserves a medal, he is so patient and precise that it is really rare. I highly recommend Giovannis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

03/11/2024: We were lucky enough to stumble upon this beautiful cafe. The decor was very relaxed and inviting. Service was impressive and the food was second to none. I would highly recommend popping in. I most certainly will return.

16/10/2024: got a sausage and bacon blaa as recommended by the waitress, food came quickly and was very tasty would come back again

22/05/2024: Llegamos a este restaurante del hotel central para el almuerzo. El lugar era muy oscuro y no olía muy bien. Nos sentamos en una mesa (el personal simplemente nos ignoró). Diez minutos después todavía no hay reconocimiento del personal. Nos fuimos y encontramos un restaurante muy amable a la vuelta de la esquina.

06/09/2024: I recently visited Renzo and it did not disappoint. I was looking for a place to sit down and work from my laptop for the day. After the positive reviews online I decided to try it out. Firstly, I was greeted when I walked in the front door by the friendly staff. The girls were extremely attentive and with access to free wifi it was the perfect spot. I got the bacon and cream cheese bagel (also offer vegan sandwiches) and a cappuccino. The girl with brown hair severed me with a smile on her face. I will 100% be back !!!

06/11/2024: We popped into this legendary pub for a light lunch. I ordered a bowl of Fish Chowder and was not disappointed. A large bowl of chowder appeared with oodles of chunky fish pieces in a rich, creamy sauce. Several pieces of brown bread and butter also; and all for less than a tenner. Great quality and very good value.

04/11/2024: We came here in the evening and had a wonderful seafood chowder served with brown bread. Had been out walking so it was a great warm up. Great staff and we had a drink to finish our evening off. It was busy and the food looked really good.

19/10/2024: Always stop here for food and drink after a hospital visit.

10/08/2024: Obviously meant for staff with easy access to walk across the road from the hospital, but we were just driving through getting a takeaway and had to do 'circles' around the busy roads to find parking. Food was usual Supermacs standard we come to enjoy in Ireland. Would only recommend this Supermacs if you dont have to park a car!

04/09/2024: Just came from here and I wanted to get a soup but I was stuck for time because I had to get back to work so I asked how long will it be for the soup after waiting 5 minutes. The response I got was half an hour in a sarcastic way just because I asked. Will never be back and I advise people to avoid at all costs. Great service 👎
