Supermac's in Galway

23/05/2026: Definitely better than the clown's burgers, but the location is dingy and cramped in odd places. Like, why would you put a claw game machine so close to the toilet corridor? Bit of an accent/language barrier at the register (going both ways) and it took longer than expected for fast food.

23/05/2026: Hits the spot if you are craving fast food. Service was friendly despite my not understanding a menu item and asking the cashier to repeat herself a few times. The chicken was hot and seasoned. The burger was better than the clown burgers I associate with fast food. The fries were my favorite on this visit to Galway. The milkshake had the temperature and texture of viscous milk, not the cold, thick texture I was expecting but very fresh with a subtle sweetness. The Salthill history on the wall was really interesting and worth a read if you are staying in the area. The restaurant itself was sticky and we couldn’t find a clean table, but the beach is 50 steps away if you don’t mind fighting the seagulls.
