20/12/2025: Excellent seafood in the heart of the Latin quarter. We enjoyed oysters, salmon, fried fish, and burgers. Try the mushroom platter appetizer! It is delicious. The first floor has live music and multiple bars. The dining room is downstairs. Get there early if you want a seat to watch the live music. The service was excellent and we had a great time!
18/12/2025: The wait ton the bar take my order was a bit long, but the atmosphere is really lovely and cozy. Great vibe overall—I’d come back.

08/01/2026: Really cosy, friendly staff, have cute Christmas decoration and ole ty of space. They have a great selection of beers and seating arrangements. Perfect for tourists and locals alike. Really friendly place in town that's a staple.
07/01/2026: Came here while in Galway for new year.. we both had the fillet steak and pepper sauce.. to say this is the best steak I have ever tasted would be an understatement..

Rooms were very outdated, extremely dusty/musty, beds very uncomfortable, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time & AC was broken with inability to be fixed. The room also smelled terribly of a nursing home which did not dissipate at all with our windows open for two days.
21/10/2025: Such a great spot! I was visiting Galway for a few days with my family, and we could not have picked a better location. All the staff were so kind. Henrique at reception in particular was incredibly helpful and very fun to converse with.

19/11/2025: Very high expectations on this restaurant as suggested as best local seafood in Galway centre.
Unfortunately the experience was very poor, cause the food is very expensive for what you actually get on table.
The prawn starter was simply average with plain lettuce on the bottom, the main monkfish was the worst part of the meal as only two small pieces of monkfish and it was boiled in the mussels and beans stew, also found broken mussels shells in the stew.
Good atmosphere, average service.

12/12/2025: We had Irish beef stew, Cesar salad with blackened chicken, Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and chips. All was delicious. Our server was fantastic. The atmosphere was traditional Irish pub, We loved it!

The staff were friendly and kind, and the service was super fast we received our meals in less than 10 minutes.
A very cozy and warm pub, beautifully decorated and with a great atmosphere.
Located right in the city center of Galway, with reasonable prices for the quality.
Would definitely come back!

02/12/2025: We had our staff Christmas party in The Hall - Buskars last Friday. The ambience was nice and good. They did serve drinks and the seating was gorgeous. Our party started at 7 however our food only came in at 10:30 so we were all starving till then. Other than the delay in the food, it was a great experience!

26/10/2025: This place was so good we went back a second time while in Galway. We had the Irish Rib Steak Sandwich both times and the taste and flavor were spot-on. Prices were reasonable. Only thing they didn’t have was music but the good and drinks make up for that.
12/09/2025: Huge selection of on tap beers. Sorry Dave they don't have fosters anymore. Place is clean and service prompt. Average about 6euro a pint.

Chowder was watery
Fish special on chorizo and bean in tomato base isn't nice. Why not keep it simple. I seems like a pretentious effort to be different for the sake of being different.
Dinner cold apart from fish.
Again why watery chowder instead of the expected normal creamy version. Maybe call this out on the menu.
Offer what the majority will enjoy and not the few.
