Great little spot. Good variety of beers and excellent vegetarian options. Such friendly staff. Bless them for putting lentils and rice on the kids menu - and for only €5. Genuinely a parent’s dream.

Very good food with a good atmosphere but on the other hand the wait is not possible!! Waiting 40 minutes for 3 burgers and a salad is ok but not 20 minutes for a brownie. And the room was not full.

This is a Galway Bay Brewery pub. For many years they were plentiful in Dublin however that’s changed in recent years so it’s nice to go to one of their original pubs in their home county. The disadvantage of been a craft beer drinker is that you’ve had everything on offer already before you drink in these places. The one beer I wanted to try is the tap in picture and unfortunately the barman said they only had one Keg of it & there was none left. I went for a brown ale in the end. I can’t comment on the food but I’ve had their food many times over the years in the late Against the Grain.

Very poor bar food, says it's a gastro pub but it's not. Burger was just minced meat. Loaded fries was just some Parmesan thrown on top. Cauliflower wings was just deep fried cauliflower, no batter. Onion rings were good.

Perfectly enjoyable bar, with average pub food. The inside is much larger than it looks from the street, with a lot of cozy nooks for tables and a beer hall and projector screen in the back. There’s a long tap list with lots of interesting Irish and imported beers, but the food is only okay. Some great items, some average, some downright bad (undercooked fries?). If you’re expected a classic pub experience, this is a pretty good one.

Escápate del Guinness y visita el Oslo Bar para tomar unas interesantes y sabrosas cervezas artesanales junto con una buena comida en un ambiente cómodo. El personal estaba atento a nuestras necesidades dietéticas y pude escapar de las mismas marcas de Diageo de siempre. Muy recomendable.

09/10/2025: Great food and atmosphere at Dock 84! 🍴☕️ We stopped into Dock 84 while in Donegal Town and had a really enjoyable experience. The place has a relaxed, modern vibe with plenty of space to sit back and enjoy a meal. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. 😊 I ordered the grilled chicken burger 🍔🐔 and it was excellent — the chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, with fresh toppings and a soft bun that held everything together nicely. It was filling without being too heavy, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. My wife went for the waffle with a spread of Nutella 🧇🍫 and it was a real treat. The waffle was light and fluffy with just the right crisp on the outside, and the Nutella made it indulgent without being over the top. A perfect sweet option to balance out my savory choice. The second time we went we had egg shakshuka and Tikka wrap which was good again as usual One of the highlights here is that Dock 84 has its own bakery products 🥐🍞, and they are absolute delights — fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. It’s a lovely bonus alongside the main menu. Do note that there’s usually a wait time of around 15 minutes ⏳ throughout the day, but honestly, the food and atmosphere make it worth it. For convenience, there’s a car park directly in front of the café 🚗, though it is a paid one 💳, so keep that in mind if you’re driving in. Service was quick once seated, prices were fair 💶, and the location is ideal if you’re exploring Donegal Town 🏞️. Whether you’re after a hearty bite or something sweet, Dock 84 is a spot worth visiting. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town! 🙌

31/10/2025: Called in here for lunch during the week, was seated and had my order in front of me within 10/15 minutes. Their toasted sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich and chips were all super delicious and extremely well priced. Highly recommend stopping in here if you're in Athlone and looking for a tasty and affordable meal.
