Great cozy bar with the most friendly staff ever!

Big restaurant right off the water. Big selection of craft brews and delicious food. Friendly wait staff as well. The bangers and mash was delicious!

Located just off the coast road in Salthill, Galway. This bar just 4 weeks under new management is ticking all the boxes....! With an incredible range of beers and spirits along with an impressive food menu, this is a great place to visit. The amount of availability for seating as you can see from the photos..... is huge. And for the sports fans the back of the bar has a I'm guessing 200+ inch projection screen. But this bar has a hidden secret on the premises...... the only legal whiskey distillery in Galway, Micil Distillery! If you're looking for a spacious place to drink and has a varied array of beer and spirits..... The Oslo Bar is the location to hit up.

Great beer and friendly service. If you aren't sure what tapped beer to try the staff will let you sample to see if it's for you. I loved the beer hall aspect. A great place to come watch a game ,drink and eat.

My partner and I visited on our trip to Galway to get some drinks. What a great place! Staff was great, Roland was amazing, recommended us some places to go in Dublin (which were great as well), and gave us some lessons on gin and some laughs. There are some board games available too for some entertainment. Bar is clean and has plenty of personality. Great selection of beer as well! Highly recommend stopping here

A classic in Salthill. Highly recommended.

Was there last July 2025. Based in Salthill and visited Oslo's a few times. Food and beer were excellent, need little more attention to customers but if I'm ever back in the area would definitely go back.

The beauty of the Oslo Bar is that it also serves as the gateway to Micil's renowned distillery. The guided tour and tasting are definitely worth it, and both the whiskey and the genuine Micil Poitin are incredibly delicious, but also quite special due to their relatively small production run. If you'd like to bring a special gift to a connoisseur, buy a nice bottle of whiskey here, like the "Longwalk" or a bottle of Poitin Heritage. They'll be eternally grateful!
