As a Celiac I appreciated the dedication they take on cross contamination and their gluten free options available. I had their GF fish and chips and it was amazing. They even had a GF IPA on tap. Highly recommended.

My wife and I ate here last Saturday and it was excellent.
It’s a lovely pub, the staff were very good, the food exceptional - seriously good cooking (beef brisket croquettes, oysters, lamb shoulder, chicken supreme) and I really enjoyed their Negronis too.
I’d highly recommend, the whole Dominick street area was absolutely buzzing with atmosphere too, fantastic evening all round.

The service was very friendly, the atmosphere typically Irish, and the restrooms were clean. We arrived right at 5 pm when the shop opened, and it filled up quickly. We had food and drinks.
We come from a coastal area with world-class seafood, and this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Get the mussels!

We came in with nine people at 6:30 and we’re not turned away on a Sunday evening. The manager who I didn’t catch his name happily seated us in the dining room within five minutes and then we had our server Kyle. So tentative, he made sure that our drinks were cold and our bellies were full. Our last night in Galway was a memorable one Thank you, Kyle. And John Keogh’s Gastropub.

As someone who was visiting from out of the country, we were shocked at the quality of food we found in what we'd consider a bar. The food was great. The drinks were great. The times had were great. I would absolutely make a return trip.

We had dinner here with our two young children during our stay in Galway. The food was very good – the kids loved their burgers, and the lamb shoulder was excellent.
The service, however, felt a bit rushed. Our dishes arrived too quickly, and we were asked to keep our children seated throughout the meal. We completely understand the safety aspect, but as the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, it made the atmosphere feel a little less relaxed than we had hoped.
We were also almost charged for an extra beer, but this was corrected immediately when we pointed it out.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and had a good evening, but a warmer and more relaxed service would have made the experience even better.

This was our first dinner in Galway… A really nice find the atmosphere was classic Irish… The staff were warm, friendly and very personable… The dishes were very delicious fish and chips for two and salmon over risotto for one… The drinks were also very refreshing… We just wanted to sit there and enjoy the atmosphere. Enjoy the Galway hospitality… Tara was our server and the other staff members were just as pleasant and friendly as she was… I highly recommend a stop here… If you want something quieter low-key, but with excellent quality and pure Irish charm, this would be a good location…
