Arrived in with a party of 8 from Galway Bay Brewery , the food and service were unbelievable. The fish is so fresh and tasty, also pricing is very reasonable as good fish isn’t cheap . Big thanks to Ester too who looked after us .

Quant, we came in late but they were still very friendly and hospitable. Had the chowder, mussels, oysters and risotto, all delicious. And had local bevs. Great place!

Busy place but when we were seated we had a great evening. Took family visiting for holidays and they loved it. Big table is noisy but perfect for a group. I have eaten in the table window too and it's quieter if there's only a couple of you. Will go back.

If you're looking for fish and chips cooked to perfection then Hooked is the best place in Galway. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always so friendly.

The Skeff

09/09/2025: Authentic pub with fantastic food! Service was rather mediocre.
09/09/2025: The Skeff is part of the The Skeffington Arms Hotel. Food was very good. The Seafood Chowder and a couple of (non!) Stout beers from other parts of Ireland were a welcomed change of pace. IPA's, actually. One from Letterkenny, and the other from Kill, County Kildare. Other than the service being just a tad slow, it was (overall) very good. And the live music was magical this night. Okay...Not exactly magical, but covers from bands/artists that everyone knows, sung by a group of a youngish band of 3 called The Groev. They did a great job, actually.

10/04/2026: The food was very good, I believe I got some type of seafood platter, very fresh tasting. but the girls at the front door were kind of rude and sassy kinda made me uncomfortable and not welcome. The waiter was much nicer though.
10/04/2026: A great place to eat and have a drink, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended :)
