The Galleon Restaurant in Galway

Visited The Gallion with mixed group of family, for the first time in a couple of years. I used to visit regularly however, I am disappointed to say that it has gotten very run down, sticky floors, old run down toilet, underlying smell of grease from the kitchen, old tatty menus. The staff were lovely, however the food was hit and miss, children’s burger bundy was rock hard, some sauces for wings very sweet resembling shop bought! Children menu for under 10’s is ridiculous, mains stating at 9.99 to 13.99 and a little jelly and ice-cream is and extra €5.50. It’s gone from being a fabulous place to eat to an outdated run of the mill place to grab a bite. Pity

brilliant nothing wrong with it , honestly i the food was amazing and well presented the service was lovely , specially this one lady who was so nice towards us and finally the atmosphere was good it was no where near chaotic in there and the music being played was a good selection of songs. and each member of staff is grateful for your visit here.

Hearty and delicious meal. Pleasant waitresses and fast service despite the crowd.

Highly highly recommend, Lovely staff, quick service, food was 10/10 , Top quality ingredients generous size portions, I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

Every single thing we ordered at this restaurant was absolutely incredible. Two appetizers, three entrees, three desserts - we couldn’t even choose favorites because they were all so tasty. Highly recommend the mushrooms, buffalo wings, lamb, and mashed potatoes/gravy. Could drink that gravy with a straw!

Food was fab and very reasonable

Pretty good food. Great service. Because it’s in a touristy type of area it’s a little bit pricey. Basically, like an American diner, for those of you traveling from the states.
