Great food! great history! great live music! great atmosphere! could not ask for a better pub

Wonderful, good beer and an even better atmosphere. Even live music!!!

The staff was so welcoming, the atmosphere typical and the food good. Recommended stop in Galway! Vegetarian options available (burger in the photo)

The food is just another level. The oysters were delicious, the chowder mind blowing and the fish and chips from another planet. The pavlova was the best I ever had. Service was fast and super friendly and the atmosphere absolutely charming.

Overall great pub for ambiance ,decorations, open area ,live sports . However maybe during peak tourism days was quite busy found waiting times for a pint were a bit long. The fruit for bar drinks was surrounded by fruit flies and spilled liqour making it sticky and foul odored. Sadly our visit was filled with a younger wait staff who was a bit more preoccupied on chatting of prio nights events than helping us or other patrons and watched many turn and walk out . Would give it a other go but possibly request to sit upstairs on the next visit to avoid the crowds .

We didn't have any food; there is also a bistro section. We sat in the pub section.

The beef stew was great but not the cheese croquettes, extremely overpriced for 3 small balls and not enjoyable

Food and service were exceptional. Highly recommend. It can get really busy. Research the of the building and you'll know why it's named the Kings Head. I would definitely eat here again.
