Look up the story as to why this place is called its name. You’ll be able to better appreciate it. Despite how touristy it could be, it seems that the prices remain relatively reasonable.

The food was great. We had a big pot of local mussels in a creamy sauce, the monkfish special and pavlova for dessert. The service was good until we were abandoned by our waitress who went on break without arranging cover. Another waitress took over but only after we asked where the first had gone.

Visually beautiful old pub with live music. Fast and, despite the hard work, nice service. However, the food was average for the asking price, the premium burger was ordinary for the price.

Such a wonderful place. We got to see Foil Arms & Hog during the festival and it was such a treat! We got lunch there as well (bistro?) and it was so much better than the average pub food: terrific smoked salmon (creamy texture, full of flavor), smoked mackerel, and a delightful beetroot salad. Service was on point: fast and courteous, all for a very reasonable price. We will be back!

04/07/2026: I was visiting Galway a few years ago and went to renzo cafe. The place was great. So on my return last week I went back in. Still brilliant. Great coffee and beautiful food. Friendly, helpful staff. As they say, Ill be back. 😄😄
28/06/2026: Love this cafe. My friends and I went multiple times on a trip to Galway and it was great every time. The food is delicious (I highly recommend recommend the Caesar wrap and the chorizo melt) and the drinks are great. The atmosphere is really nice and the music they play was always really enjoyable. The service is fantastic and everyone is really friendly. Also, the art of the walls is brilliant and relatively affordable. Definitely recommend!

26/07/2026: This place has a really nice interior and vibe to it. The cocktails were good, but a bit pricey. Unfortunately the food was a let down. To start I ordered the prawn pil pil and was brought a prawn salad. I sent it back and then when I got the prawn pil pil it was very disappointed, there was no flavour at all - I had to add a lot of salt and the prawns weren’t great quality. Working in a kitchen myself I understand the annoyance of an order being sent back, but it seems as there was no effort put into the dish. The waiters didn’t apologise for the mistake and overall it was very pricey. I would recommend this place for cocktails but not food.
