My experiences with staff. They are always accomdating and never RUDE. as one reveiwer ( ashsley ) stated. I recommend GBC To everyone. Its family place to be.

Ordered coffee, flat white and scone, given the scone and flat white and told coffee would be ready shortly, had to go back and ask for the coffee, not busy at the time, no apology, disappointed

Just had soup and bread for lunch there and really enjoyed it. The food was good and I would have given 6 stars for the service if I could. I'm have some balance and hearing issues but the lady on the till carried my tray upstairs where it was quieter, without fuss - I didn't even have to ask. Without question, I'll visit again.

06/04/2026: Food is great. The waitress when we walked in wasn't friendly. She didnt even really speak at all just pointed at a table. The next waiter and waitress we had though were really friendly so it was a mixed bag. They are also very very strict on the menu it wasn't an issue for me but if you want to change in or out an item that is a full no no.
27/03/2026: Wouldn't rate this place for brunch. They wouldn't make one change for me on the veggie breakfast cant eat eggs, asked for a hash brown instead. She said it wasn't possible Id have to pay for a portion so I did €3.95 and then the chef ended up putting a hash brown maybe as the plate was very empty looking. So I ended up with 3 hash browns but only wanted 1. Bringing cost for just me with coffee close to €25, with no meat!! Just mis match in communication. Wouldn't go back for this reason.

28/10/2025: Excellent restaurant. We had a group of 8 people. Service was very good and food was excellent. Very good atmosphere in the heart of Galway.
01/10/2025: Food was great, service was slow. Mood was mellow in here which was actually what I was looking for in a meal. Recommend!
