Hyde in Galway

We had wine and cocktails, really lovely place and service.

This place has a really nice interior and vibe to it. The cocktails were good, but a bit pricey. Unfortunately the food was a let down. To start I ordered the prawn pil pil and was brought a prawn salad. I sent it back and then when I got the prawn pil pil it was very disappointed, there was no flavour at all - I had to add a lot of salt and the prawns weren’t great quality. Working in a kitchen myself I understand the annoyance of an order being sent back, but it seems as there was no effort put into the dish. The waiters didn’t apologise for the mistake and overall it was very pricey. I would recommend this place for cocktails but not food.

We recently did the bottomless brunch with cocktails at the Hyde Hotel and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The food was lovely, the cocktails were great, and the atmosphere was perfect activity for a hen party! When we arrived, we were told that staff would check on us around every 15 minutes for drink orders during the two-hour bottomless brunch. Unfortunately, at the beginning we were left waiting around 40 minutes between cocktails, which meant we missed out on a good portion of the experience. That said, once we mentioned it to the staff, they apologised and were incredibly attentive for the rest of our booking. They checked in regularly, kept the drinks flowing, and made sure we had a great time. Overall, we had a lovely afternoon, and the attentive service after we raised the issue really made a difference. With a more consistent drinks service from the start, it would have been a five-star experience.

Great ambience, excellent decour, attentive staff, possible a bit more expensive than other local places but great for a couple, menu choices limited but good quality, if attendance if around 9 pm caution in the local DJ may start, with a dramatic change in the music volume,. Overall great choice for dinner our with a good selection of cocktails for those choosing them. Suggestions if going for a pizza possible share between 2 and get a starter to go with it, as large pizza for one.

Bar staff was great. Great selection of gins and Irish whiskey.

We held a large group here last Wednesday and would highly recommend. The food was absolutely fantastic and the Jekyl room is amazing. Thank you Hyde!

A group of 5 of us had a booking here after work. We were seated straight away and our server was Yehor, he was so good, attentive and was humorous with us. He was so apologetic when our deserts were late, not that we complained, well done Yehor, we all enjoyed our food, and the cocktails and mocktails were lovely. Staff are very friendly and the decor is nice. Would definitely call in again
