Monroe's in Galway

The ambiance is incredible. Everyone is dancing to live music, sipping delicious drinks and perfect pints and eating good food. It's full, lively and full of Irish joy! Would recommend so highly. I had just the best time here and made friends even as a solo traveler.

Everything works out almost perfect, only roast chicken is a bit dry and chicken wings are salty. Hopefully after they can hire new chef, food will get improved. We all love this place, staffs are great especially Brigitte and toilet is so clean. It's a shame that we can't stay for live music due to early morning departure. For sure, we will visit there again.

This bar came recommended from our tour guide after walking in bar hopping all night long finished off at this place I wish we would have got here sooner The vibe the atmosphere the music was incredible bartenders know how to pour a drink I would definitely stop here if you're ever and Ireland !!!

Great atmosphere and live music!

Went on Monday night, a bank Holiday, there was an amazing band (Aaron, Sara and Sam) and met some wonderful people as well as had amazing service (the staff were the best I have seen in Galway)

A great mix of locals and travelers, a fantastic selection of local beers, and really good live music. The pub has soul – you immediately feel welcome.

Best pub in town. We Showed up at 2pm to reserve seats for the 4pm session and most were already reserved. We only left at 6.30 because we had another 6pm appointment. We were visiting from Canada. You must also have the pizza. omg so delicious 👍

We had the dish of the day, the chef's recommendation: braised beef. Everything was delicious. Very attentive and friendly service. Great atmosphere, live music.

Andy was the best. Great place great drinks and food. If you go to Galway stop in and have a pint. Atmosphere is great and prices were reasonable.

Nous avons dégusté un hamburger absolument succulent chez Monroe’s Tavern. La viande était juteuse et bien assaisonnée, le pain frais, et les garnitures savoureuses. Les portions étaient généreuses, parfaites pour satisfaire un bon appétit. Combiné à l’excellent service, au vaste choix de bières et à l’ambiance animée avec musique live, ce repas a été un vrai plaisir. Un endroit à recommander sans hésiter pour bien manger et passer un bon moment à Galway.
