Monroe's in Galway

Service was a bit hard to come by. Food was very good. Fish and chips. Big bowl of mussels. We sat inside but lots of outside seating if weather is cooperating.

The food was really good! We had Guinness Beef Stew with self made bread and it was so perfect. We also had Irish coffee and it was great aswell. They actually had some space at 8 PM so it was very nice, the bathroom was great aswell and very clean, the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable and the servers very attentative. When our glasses went empty she asked if we wanted some more drinks for example... All in all 15 out of 5 stars, wish I could actually give 100 Edit: The brownie and apple crumble were very nice too!

Ate here twice this week it was so good. Had the trout special, the beef stew, the fish and cups and the fish chowder. All very good.

We just stopped in for a pint or 2. The staff is awesome, the Guinness is great and the band set the mood.

A fixture of the Irish music scene. The pub itself is too loud for me, but the concert area is the right mix of intimate and anonymous.

Great pub in the West End of Galway, with outside as well as inside seats. We reserved a table inside and the ambiance was lovely. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Sad that we couldn't stay for the live music, but it definitely still was worth the visit!

We had a great experience, with a truly balanced combination of food, beer, and music. The atmosphere is spacious, and the service is prompt and fast. If a table isn't available when you arrive, we recommend waiting at the bar: you'll take advantage of the opportunity to browse the well-stocked taps, start sampling some beers (by the way, pints are very reasonably priced, cheaper than other pubs), and listen to the live music. Overall, we were much more impressed with this place than other more central venues: it's definitely worth moving a few hundred meters off the beaten path.
