Very good food. Unfortunately the head of staff is an arrogant eejit who doesn't have the slightest clue about dining etiquette and finds normal to bring starters to the table whilst his customers have barely received their aperitif.
When I pointed out to him that he leave us time to finish our gin and tonics before serving the food he answered " not necessarily" and was thereafter brusque and put up an attitude.
The young ladies waiting on us were charming but this guy, the short and bald one was a joke.
He even started speaking broken French to us for some reason. None of us were French and I'm Irish.
He gave us a good laugh though.
The restaurant should consider employing someone with decent social and customer relation skills. Or at least give the silly little man some dining etiquette and frustration management courses.

Lovely family meal in Kirwans tonight. We tried a full range of dishes. Everything was top notch.....food, service & atmosphere. Well done everyone in Kirwans who keep flying the flag for good food in Galway!

A must visit in Galway. Cillian and the team are amazing in every sense. We love this place, a real Galway institution. Fresh seafood, top quality produce, great wine selection and above all the atmosphere and service are always second to none. Highly recommended

Had dinner with friends. We could only get a booking outside and on a cold day i was concerned but it wasn't a problem. The staff were fantastic and the food, fresh, tasty and interesting. The mussels, fish, hand cut chips and asparagus, everyone was happy with everything. The wine selection was good. I loved it and can't wait to go back.

Kirwins lane is a lovely restaurant just off the street from the Quays bar. Had chicken liver to start very nice and had a haddock for mains which was very nicely done. My partner had a steak was average stick with the fish in this restaurant obviously it's a seafood restaurant. So I wouldn't recommend this place if your family doesn't like seafood. But the service was excellent and very friendly. Atmosphere was ok but the decor is a bit aged and needs to be lifted but overall a nice evening spent there

We sat outside for lunch and had the seafood platter with a glass of albarino. The plate was fresh, tasty and really well presented and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back here.

Beautiful food, well presented, perfectly measured portions. Service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. Staff are completely switched on to their roles, which is quite rare these days.
