Oscars Seafood Bistro in Galway

Good food but mains sent at same time as starter which is not acceptable

‘Fish & Bravas’ particularly delicious! However, service slow – we were set to order desserts and more drinks, but plates weren’t cleared for 15+ minutes after we had finished.

The seafood is wonderful! I highly recommended the oysters and the scallops. The chef did an amazing job. The drinks are fine too.

We enjoyed a lovely evening recently in Oscars. It was a real treat. Quiet when we arrived but some more people arrived soon after us. Lovely piano playing the whole evening - not too loud. The food was amazing. I can't start to describe but we shared a squid taco to start and then Scallops for me and Gurnard for main course. And croquettes, of course! The flavours were wonderful and the presentation was perfect. A lovely bottle of Vino Verde to accompany was just right, and good value. We've been waiting a long time for a chance to visit. It won't be so long until we return.

Very kind, they welcomed us with a full room and found a table for two. Very nice and characteristic environment, quality food between sea (super oysters, well cooked mussels and fish) and land (excellent sirloin!). Medium-high price but in line with the level of the venue and the excellent quality offered.

Absolutely exquisite! Service and ambiance was above and beyond. Team server style where everyone was engaged and on par. Live pianist setting the most amazing atmosphere. But the cuisine… the absolute best paella I’ve ever had, absolute top notch scallops that were seared perfectly and an absolute delight, and their signature Ouster Martini? Over the top rounded out the experience. Started with the BBQ mackerel special and can’t imagine a better beginning to our experience. Bravo and thank you for the incredible experience!

Wonderful dinner on Saturday night, we enjoyed fishcakes and mackerel for starters, delicious and piping hot, then hake and scallops for mains and shared a carageen dessert, all so good! Lovely friendly atmosphere, and staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning and we highly recommend!

Best restaurant that we've been to in Ireland! Delicious dinner(scallops) and dessert (parfait, although it doesn't come as a parfait-, it's much better!)
