The best restaurants in Galway

06/12/2025: I ate in the Restaurant last week and this was a takeaway. Absolutely delicious, some of the best Thai and Asian food I've had in Galway.

27/10/2025: Very good food – the vegan Pad Thai with tofu was extremely tasty, not too oily but still very flavorful. Service was very friendly and quick.

08/12/2025: Small but cosy little takeaway. Lovely staff and fast service. Seafood dishes and fried rice were delicious

06/01/2026: The branch I frequently visit is in Salthill. The staff there are across the board, so friendly, obliging and courteous. The food, (my preference are the pies,) are all delicious. They make an ab fhab, what I refer to as a Giant Jaffa Cake. 😋😋😋 Well worth the shekels no matter what you like! 👍

16/12/2025: Got a coffee so cant really comment on the food, good prices but service was absolutely atrocious, place was falling apart, hand dryer dying and atmosphere is dead

15/02/2026: I left a 5-star review for Norios Takeaway 8 years ago saying “Great food.” Unfortunately, today I’m changing that to 1 star to Eddies Take away. I ordered 4 large chips and specifically asked for them to be freshly made because the last time they were soggy and tasteless. The staff member agreed and asked me to wait 10 minutes. However, after just 1 minute, they called me back and handed over chips that were clearly not fresh. They were soggy, dry, and tasted like old, reused oil. The vegetable oil did not taste fresh, and the potatoes themselves seemed dried out. Very disappointing, especially after being assured they would be freshly made. Sadly, you’ve lost a long-standing customer. I won’t be returning.

13/02/2026: I take my secret girlfriend of 15 years here. I'll never marry her. She's got three 🥧 🗝️ kids. She should have been a nun but they didn't want the scandal.

17/02/2026: My key to my room opened the side entrance...as did everyone elses ...didnt feel very safe!!!no lock inside bedroom door Blood stain on quilt Bed was uncomfortable(esp as you keep banging off corners while trying to get at anything!) Water took 5mins to heat up then just trickled out of shower ,then scalded me!! Room was so small that if you are tall you cannot sit on toilet without legs in bedroom (note:"bathroom" is in a wardrobe!!!

26/10/2025: Great pub with all the essentials: TVs playing footie, a good variety of beers on tap (Guinness 0.0), pub grub that isn’t fancy, lots and lots of places to sit down or drink standing up.

10/03/2026: Extremely busy when visited on a Friday morning. Full of tradesmen which was a good omen when we walked in. Seated straight away and our orders taken. Despite the amount of people in there, the turnaround was quick. Food arrived quickly and was fresh. Staff went around topping up milk, collecting dirty dishes and resetting tables ready for the next customers. Well oiled machine!

12/03/2026: Had a great stay. Great value for money. Food in the bar was great and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, everything fresh and tasty. Staff very friendly. Duty manager Dara specially, super helpful. Would definitely be back.

17/01/2026: Located close to the City center. We had to book in advance as it is very busy at weekends. They have a great selection of dishes and the food was amazing. Also a wonderful cocktail menu.

17/07/2025: Franchement , ambiance sympa , personnel sympathique … on a super bien mangé … on recommande pleinement… bien placé en ville … la musique pas trop forte ce qui rend ce moment très agréable et tout ça avec le sourire des serveurs

29/06/2025: No reservation. Welcomed and seated immediately. My husband had the burger and I had the beef and Guinness stew. Both were delicious as was the apple pie dessert that followed. Friendly staff. I would recommend and return!

20/08/2025: A great place for a vegan gourmet break. Very warm welcome. The coffee is very good. And the pastries are excellent. I recommend it!!!

22/10/2025: We arrived on bikes for one night. Enjoyable check in and good chat with Reception team. Walking distance to the pubs and club. Used the Leisure Centre for the recovery next AM. Breakfast was great. Will definitely go back.

21/10/2025: Hotel bar, Coopers, isn’t great. Friendly enough but No Galway beer on tap. When I asked, the bartender had to check the taps to see!!?? Obviously not experienced staff. Hotel also pretty run down, but safe and clean. Staff good
