The best restaurants in Galway

01/09/2025: Food and desserts were phenomenal. Lauren was excellent in terms of service. Very responsive with always a smile on her face. Would definitely come there again if given the opportunity.

29/08/2025: We had heard many good things about this restaurant, so we decided to visit with high expectations. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered, we were met by a very unfriendly woman who we believe was the shift manager. She was expressionless, abrupt, and made us feel unwelcome from the very first moment. The atmosphere quickly became uncomfortable, and in the end we decided to leave without staying. It’s worth mentioning that there was only one other table occupied at the time, so it wasn’t a matter of her being overwhelmed with work. Sadly, this experience left us with a very negative impression, despite the restaurant’s good reputation. I think that the food there is great but unfortunately we didn't have the chance to taste it.

21/07/2025: We stayed at The Corrib House a few weeks ago. The location is perfect - on a quiet corner yet very close to all of the action in Galway! The hotel is so clean, comfortable, and just a pleasure to be in. The breakfast was amazing, as was the breakfast room. The bedrooms were absolutely wonderful, so clean and the beds were very comfortable. A big shout-out goes out to Alice, she was so nice and helpful to us. Every person who worked there always a had a smile on, and those little things make a big difference. We would absolutely stay here again if we are in Galway. 10/10 A++! 29/08/2025: One of the Best food places i have ever eaten i had the mixed kebab and it was delicious one of the freshest kebabs ever All the meat was fresh and hot tasted delicious My Mother also had a spaghetti bolognese and she said that was one of the best spaghettis shes ever had the food was not greasy or anything 100% recommend

31/05/2025: We stopped by for a morning coffee and were unfortunately a bit disappointed with the Flat Wide. The ratio of milk to coffee wasn't ideal for our taste, and the coffee wasn't quite as strong. The atmosphere is cozy, and the café offers a variety of pastries in addition to drinks.

23/05/2025: Came in today like I have many times with my partner. She had stepped out of work so we got a sandwich to go for her and I got a quiche and a coffee, 2 bits of food and a coffee came to 20 euro was good quality and coffee is definitely one of the nicer ones in the city. Arrived in just after 2, once the hour mark hit I was on my laptop as it came to 3 I was tying a few bits up with work, a worker comes over asking me could I move saying they need the table for other customers for those who are eating. I told her that that's no worries, i'll just head away (I had half a coffee left but I said their busy thats fair), then the worker then grabbed my work bag from my side and walked away with it. This is where I was extremely annoyed as she took it and placed it on the other table and gesturing me that there was no option but to move pointing at a table single table facing a blank wall more than likely where the staff go to eat in private. I felt like a show was being made of me as I walked over to get my bag to place my laptop in it. As I was walking over to the exit the worker the worker said to me "if you are upset..." and just shrugged. I didn't even know how to react so I just said its all good and went back to my workplace. Overall great food, highly recommend the quiche, great coffee and coffee art but I think its best to take your coffee and food in a box to go.

03/07/2025: Had a lovely lunch here today with my Mother. And a very special thanks to the lovely staff in the restaurant who went out of their way to accommodate us, as my Mother has serious mobility issues over the past year. We like to take her here these days for the food, ambiance, views and great staff.

07/06/2025: Not a very interesting or challenging course. Great potential as a city park though due to location near the ocean.

24/08/2025: We wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of Quai Street and, after a few detours, discovered Buddha Bar. We got a table right away, even without a reservation. The small bowl of chilled oolong tea was delicious. Choosing a meal wasn't easy, as the menu is so vast. We didn't have to wait long for the food, which was truly delicious. The portion didn't seem large at first, but by the time we were finished, we were so full that we couldn't even fit dessert in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

11/07/2025: I used to attend the old films in this establishment on a weekday morning with my husband. A personal favourite of mine is Gone with the Wind. A very beautiful film. However, after an evening screening of a classic film I needed to use the lady's room. As I headed toward the unisex bathroom a man dressed in glitter and spandex rushed in front of me. He stated, "Ladies first". He then proceeded to skip me and head to the bathroom to relieve himself standing up like a lady. Horrified, I asked staff upon leaving about their security issue and they stated "Gowoke go broke, we went downhill when we hired our first pink haired waitress". Well I suppose they did. But this would be a great IPAS center.

22/07/2025: Possibly, if not, the Best bakery & coffee shop in Co.Galway. Owner-run and a great team of staff. Best pastries, rolls & sandwiches. Weather you're popping in for a coffee on the go or having tea with a dear friend, always worth a visit.
