The Sliding Rock in Galway

Great location and a very clean establishment. Service was amazing with the friendly staff. The only reasons I couldn’t give more stars is because the rooms are tiny and there’s no thermostat, making it very hard to sleep if you’re hot-natured. One of the workers was kind enough to bring us a fan, which made it more tolerable to sleep. Food in restaurant was delicious as well!!

Rooms are small but well appointed, especially in the new premises adjacent to the bar. Service is excellent and a Sliding Rock breakfast needs to be walked off. It'll keep you going until dinner.

Just went for pub lunch, had the steak sandwich it was absolutely delicious, the staff are very friendly. Thanks

We loved this place! Both the hotel and the pub/restaurant area. We were a group of seven and felt right at home; it's very warm and welcoming. The rooms aren't very big, but they're perfectly adequate. Breakfast and dinner are both delicious and homemade. The staff is very friendly. You can hear some music from the pub from your room, but it stops at midnight, which is reasonable. The shower pressure, however, is weak, which is mainly annoying for your hair—that's the only minor drawback. Everything else is perfect!

Everyone was so lovely, everything went as it should, quizz eve is fun too!!!

Tried bangers and mash, was just okay. Cozy atmosphere, not too loud during lunch time.

The sliding rock, all I can say is a big thank you to the Mulholland family that own it and a big thank you to the staff Aidan, Steven,Ashling, Nicola for going over and beyond to provide a 5 star service for my father's funeral. The food is exceptional and the service was perfection. I highly recommend there for any function big or small.

Very accommodating.. last min booking for a family gathering. They accommodated a large family and did an amazing job. Food was lovely Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast included was super. Parking for guests is available. Thanks Aidan, Alan , Stephen and girls for everything
