OSAKA japanese & Korean BBQ Restaurant in Galway

The server was very enthusiastic and helped us through our first hot pot experience. The whole environment was lovely and there was so much good food. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

We had Korean hot pot for €53 for two people, which included two broths. The kimchi was very good, but the standard broth was rather bland. The tofu was pre-fried or something similar and just soaked up the liquid, leaving it tasteless. The meat and shrimp were good, as was everything else. The standard platter is enough for two people, and you can order and pay for additional items as needed. We also had sushi, which was delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was very friendly. We would definitely come back!

AMAZING hotpot. The staff were lovely and I felt quite embarrassed that we couldn't finish the set menu between 3. It's such value for money and a wonderful experience too. We'll be back! Thank you to the staff, it was a perfect end to a lovely birthday 🙏

Had such a lovely experience at Osaka Korean BBQ! 🥩🔥 The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. Everything was well prepared, and the BBQ experience was really enjoyable. The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Great food, lovely service, and a really nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would happily visit again! ❤️🥢

Went to Osaka following a recommendation from the Airbnb owner where we were staying in Salthill. It appealed to us as it's the kind of food we like. We went for the table bbq with pork chicken prawns lamb and beef. It was great fun to cook and it was all really tasty. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was a great start to our holiday in the west of Ireland

The garlic and chilli chicken in the starters is an amazing dish and it was full of flavour coming from South Asia. I know my flavours and I know my spices but this dish it just satiated all our senses and everybody just loved it but perhaps it was the best garlic and chilli chicken that I’ve had anywhere. It had just the right amount of Spice and the right amount of flavouring and presentation and we just lapped it up in one go and ended up ordering more portions because it was so good and then we also parcel some portion for takeaway and had them at home. They were really nice though the walks are great as well. What I particularly like is the black bean stirfry and the Malay stirfry as it is on the spicy aside and I don’t mind Spice so it was good for me. The most spicy one is the chilli and cashew nut which is okay for my taste and also quite spicy. I’ve had it before but I did not order it this time but if you like heavy Spice you should definitely go for it as it will ring all your bells and ask for the noodles the Singapore rice noodle and the pot thigh are my favourites. They do a great job with it all in all a great experience perhaps the best Japanese book stirfry place in all of Ireland!

(This review was from Feburary 2026) The overall experience in this restaurant was very good. The staff were very nice and accommodating to my large group of 20 + college students. Most of us got the BBQ set. Which were very accommodating with the sets if someone had an allergy/food restriction. Even though we only had a short amount of time due to our mistake of arriving late. The chef was very nice and cooked some of the meat so that we can finish them at home. I will warn that if you get the BBQ set do try and avoid the pork chop because it was very frozen when we ordered it. Overall highly recommend this place is visiting Galway. Especially if you're a fan of Korean BBQ.
