I recently visited Shake Dog, and this was my nth time trying it. I wanted to explore more of the menu, and I have to say, it continues to deliver a very good experience. Previously, I had their burgers and chips, and both were solid and satisfying. The burgers are well-prepared with fresh ingredients, not overloaded, just the right balance of flavors, and the chips are nicely cooked — crispy without being too greasy, which makes them very enjoyable. What I like about Shake Dog is that it feels like more than a typical fast-food place. The menu has a good variety to choose from, and everything I’ve tried feels carefully made rather than rushed. You can tell there’s attention to quality, even in a casual setting. The portion sizes are just right — filling without feeling excessive — and it’s clear they focus on making food that people will enjoy every time. The atmosphere is welcoming, comfortable, and relaxed, making it a good spot to sit down and enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly and efficient, always ready to help if you have questions about the menu or recommendations. Even during busier times, the service stays smooth and organized, which makes the visit feel pleasant rather than stressful. I wouldn’t call the food groundbreaking or the absolute best I’ve ever had, but it is very good in a consistent, reliable way. It hits the right notes for anyone looking for a satisfying meal — tasty, fresh, and enjoyable. You know you’re going to get a meal that works, every time, without surprises. Overall, I’d recommend Shake Dog to anyone looking for a solid, satisfying meal. If you’re in the mood for a burger and chips, or even just a quick but good-quality meal, it’s a place worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu, and I think anyone else who gives it a try will appreciate the same level of quality and care in the food. It’s good food done well, and that’s something you don’t always find in casual dining.

Great place, great food and great service nothing more nothing less

We come here all the time, great place for burgers and milkshakes. Atmosphere is very relaxed and it’s usually easy to park right near the entrance 🥰

Nice enough restaurant. The food was okay. Chicken tenders were nice but nothing came with them, no salad etc. The burger was nice, but again was just a burger on its own. Their staff were very friendly and the decor is nice. It’s ideal before a Connacht game, or a cinema trip, but not for an evening meal out.

The food is freshly made and so tasty. The burger in a bowl is delicious as well as the fried chicken plate (forgot the name…🙄). The staff is lovely. You can order at the table and don’t have to pay before you have finished your meal. If you like a hot dog, give it a go 😋 We will definitely be back to eat our way through the menu. ☘️
