Room was not ready at 4 and had to wait over an hour for it to be ready. I had requested twice interconnecting rooms but was given adjacent. These were eventually changed. When we got to the room the interconnecting doors were locked. There was also no remote control in one of the rooms. We eventually got these issues resolved but was not a good start . Staff at reception said we would receive a call to update us on when room would be ready. No call. They did not update us and we were left standing in the hotel foyer for over an hour. We had to approach them for an update on our room. It was bad customer service. Manager eventually came over to us and showed us to our rooms.

This hotel goes way above and beyond the standard level of service.
Special thanks to mark , duty manager, really helpful where we found ourselves in a difficult situation.
From of house, leisure centre , bar, bistro and breakfast all excellent .

This is a huge hotel with many people going though the doors- The staff were really good, all the from the desk to the room cleaners. However we couldn’t get breakfast as part of the package and there food offered to us for dinner was buffet- this is not my preferred option so we ate all meals elsewhere. The room was really clean but the carpets have seen there best years a few years ago. But having said that everything was there that you require.Including a great swimming pool and car parking

We had a lovely few days at the Clayton hotel Galway. It's a fabulous hotel, over 1.000 rooms, great leisure centre and situated just outside of Galway. Wonderful staff, great food and the pints are not bad either

I recently stayed at the hotel and wanted to give a special mention to the leisure centre and pool area. The facilities were clean, well-maintained and a great place to relax and unwind.
Margaret, the supervisor, really stood out. On arrival in the leisure area, she kindly took the time to show me around the facilities and made sure I knew where everything was, which I really appreciated. She was friendly, attentive and clearly cares about making sure guests have a good experience. It was obvious that the high standard of the facility is largely down to her dedication and the way she looks after her team.
A lovely part of the stay overall, I’d definitely recommend making use of the leisure facilities if you’re visiting. Thanks Margaret! 😊
