Great music and a very typical atmosphere, away from the chaos of the city center.

Nice little local bar needs the beer garden done up with a few more accessories

We found this place not far from our accommodations. Our first night there it wasn't overly busy, and the bartenders taught my husband how to pour a proper pint of Guinness. It may have been the highlight of his whole trip! We enjoyed it so much, we went back another night for a nightcap after sightseeing all day. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone.

What an amazing authentic Irish experience this Pub was, trivia night and the drinks for flowing. Highly recommended for any Travelers looking for an authentic Irish experience.

Nice bar , recently renovated they did a tidy job

We had such an amazing experience at Cooke’s Thatch Bar that we actually went back a second night! From the moment we walked in, the bartenders and the manager, Thomas, made us feel so welcome. Even the owner stopped by and was absolutely wonderful. The whole atmosphere felt warm, friendly, and genuine—honestly more like a family gathering than just a night out. What really stood out to us was how much they cared about everyone having a safe night. They made sure we all had rides home, and Thomas even personally made sure one of the girls got into the correct Uber. That level of kindness and attention meant so much to us. As Americans visiting, we can say the bar culture there felt so much safer and more community-focused than what we’re used to. It was refreshing and memorable in the best way. And a fun highlight—Thomas took the time to show us how to properly pour a Guinness! 🍻 It made the experience even more special. If you’re looking for a welcoming place with great people and an unforgettable atmosphere, this is it. I did not want to leave!
