10/03/2024: Delicious food and maybe the best tart I had in my life. Very friendly staff as well!

29/02/2024: I have been looking forward to visiting here for quite some time and finally got my wish on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. A cosy little spot but with a lot of care put into it, between fresh flowers and decorations, and spotlessly clean. Service was prompt and friendly and helpful and menus change regularly so they advised to check their Instagram to keep up to date as they post all their dishes there. I ordered the zurek soup and it exceeded expectations - the sausage in the soup was absolutely gorgeous and the soup itself delicious. It honestly brought me joy and brightened up the day immensely! I didn't have time for dessert but plan on getting back as soon as possible and slowly working my way through the menu. There's lots of little touches too that just show that everything has been thought through with regards to caring for the customer that goes beyond the food. Toilets were spotless and there were little touches like free pads and wipes and a little step for kiddos to be able to wash their hands without splashes. Will most certainly be returning!

04/04/2024: Beautiful restaurant by the water. We added our name to the waiting list and went for a walk along the seafront until they called to let us know our table was ready. We had the chicken salad and salmon & crab open sandwich. Food was delicious. We also enjoyed a rhubarb pavlova. Thank you to all the staff and management at Blackrock Cottage for an enjoyable dining experience.

30/03/2024: Excellent. I now understand all the rave about Blackrock Cottage. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner finally in the cottage, and each time was just a delight. Great coffee, great pastries and even better friendly and hardworking staff. Ye are doing great Blackrock!

04/04/2024: Table for nine all ordered food which was ok apart from the sea food chowder and garlic mushrooms both dishes very poor. Very loud live music played from 7 in the evening midweek, we couldn’t have a conversation and had to leave.

23/03/2024: Very good bar! We stayed upstairs and I loved being able to enjoy live music and a good atmosphere in the bar! Fast and good service, very friendly guys! Also good live music, gives a special touch to the experience at the bar! Highly recommended, plus it's one of the few places here in Galway that had my favorite beer!

21/01/2024: We tried to get in two weeks in a row on a Friday night before heading to a play . Security guy on door strangely told us it too busy despite friends inside telling us plenty of seats - plus we could see empty tables and space through the window. He was turning a few people away . This guy costing the place money 🤷🏻‍♂️.

20/02/2024: It’s tasty. They give you a huuuge portion size. But if you plan on eating it on public on a bench like I did well… good luck, it can get very messy. I like the amount of vegan options they have. I recommend the not-chicken roll. They Also have some delicious pastries that change every day which I think are vegan but I could be wrong

17/12/2023: Finally a place in Galway where falafel taste actual felafel. You can see the green inside and taste the beautiful combo of parsley, corriander and mint!

03/04/2024: A magnificent pub in Galway. Typical Irish pub where there is a wide variety of beers as well as other drinks such as Irish whiskey. The service was very friendly and there was also live music. Brilliant!. Pub located on the main street of Galway. If I return to the city I will visit Garavan's Bar

23/03/2024: Great place👍Very budget and unreal tasty always. When you order a burger, they bring you fries + a burger + a drink of your choice. And for all this, you only pay €7.95. There are a lot of potatoes and they are delicious 🤤 For such a price, you leave there full for the whole day. The portions are really big and again I will say that it is very tasty👍 Our favorite is the chicken burger🤤 The waiter is always friendly and attentive. Pleasant music plays in the background. This is our favorite place. We ordered both on the spot and to take away - the service is always top notch💪👍

21/03/2024: Very tasty pizza, sandwiches, soup and fries, excellent quality products. Very fast and attentive service in an organized and beautiful environment.

05/04/2024: Great place to stop for a quick bite or even just a cup of coffee. Handy to the car park. Staff polite, courteous and really friendly.

31/03/2024: Stopped here for breakfast and we enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend the homemade brown bread!

The food, drinks and location is on point The staff is nothing but amazing along with the Irish people which take it to another level. I had so much fun in the cities of Galway, Donegal and Dublin. 23/03/2024: We were craving burritos after having drinks and our friend absolutely demolished their bathroom and stayed vomiting in there for an hour. The staff were super nice and understanding about it and gave us free water to keep him alive. We felt so bad and tipped them well (we had to force them to accept the tip). It certainly was a chaotic experience but I wouldn't have wanted to have it at another restaurant! The food was amazing, the portions were so big, we had to take them home (we had them for breakfast the next day - also tastes amazing microwaved). There's also vegan and vegetarian options that are actually tasty! The restaurant is really cute and colorful and their music goes insanely hard.

01/04/2024: Discovered by chance after asking a local person, we had lunch choosing to try the pizza. Discreet and not crowded place We ordered two margheritas and a pepperoni, the taste was good, knowing we were not in Naples, slightly generous cooking. Friendly staff

10/03/2024: Lots of upcycled furniture. Interesting vibe.

20/03/2024: Big sign in chalk outside stating breakfast up to 12.30. We got told the manager decided just after 11 to stop breakfast. 20 mins queuing to be told "we have stopped breakfast" as the kitchen was backed up or some nonsense. Staff couldn't be bothered changing signs even after this was pointed out. 20 mins that utterly messed up our day. Just not good enough , unprofessional and embarrassing

19/03/2024: 45 mins waiting for breakfast with 2 young kids when we enquired about order we were met with rudeness from what we were told was the manager. If this is how they treat customers we will not be returning... we were told that orders were backing up by waiting staff but place was empty when we arrived then people who arrived after us were served before us. Then when we got our food the bacon was cremated and cold. The sausages were cold... my child who was starving at this point got fried eggs instead of her order of scrambled.... shocking... then she couldn't eat them as they were tasteless and cold.... dreadful experience... I hope it was a one off.... 0/5 rating
