Garavan's in Galway

Wonderful stop in our trip. Chatted with the bartender for a bit. They don't make cocktails here. Definitely a lively place.

Stopped for a whiskey, chatted with locals and bought beautiful whiskey glasses.

Small place, good atmosphere. But ruined by an unfriendly waiter who made me feel uncomfortable. There was a musician playing on Friday night.

Spent a few hours in here with a friend, chatting and listening to live music. The Guinness was great and the service very good.

Was hesitant to try this as I thought it would be a tourist trap but was pleasantly surprised with the delicious Irish coffee and atmosphere. We went to many pubs in Galway, but this one seemed to have the most authentic feel to it. We ordered and Irish coffee and a coffee with Baileys. It was so great we came the next morning and ordered another. Definitely recommend for an authentic feel of a warm Irish environment with a tasty treat. Would come here every day to drink an Irish coffee and read a book if I lived here.

Loved Garavan’s! We came in because we heard it was a locally owned business and stayed because we had such a great time. The service was lovely and we had a wonderful chat with the bartender who used to work in Warrenton, Virginia! Shoutout to him for recommending we check out Micil Distillery! We went and had an amazing time. Thank you!!

Hopped around to a few places on a busy Saturday night & landed here by chance. Perfect mix of people - all friendly- & wonderful service from the sweet staff. Very much unlike other over crowded establishments in the vicinity. Perfect vibes here 👌

Had a few drinks here last night. Such a lovely cosy pub. The staff were very nice too, greeted us like old friends. Highly recommend!
