Prátaí in Galway

Not your typical chipper, you'll be paying more than average for a bag but the ingredients are fresh, and you can see the whole frying process while you wait. Great selection of different dips, seasonings and toppings which I believe are homemade. Fantastic taste. Recommend for a quick to-go bite . Staff were welcoming. They recently won Galway Bay FMs best chipper award which I think is deserved. Pity there is not much indoor seating but they are restricted by their building size. They could do with getting a wipe mat on the floor for wet days, it was very slippy when I went in.

I would 100% recommend - the chips were so fresh, crispy and delicious!!! 😍 and the chicken salt and the garlic sauce were so so good! I don't normally eat chips anywhere but I finished off a good portion myself - unreal 😍

Heeded the advice and got a piece of fish and McDonagh’s and then walked up to Pratai for chips. Also on the advice of my tour guide just had it with the rosemary salt (no dip) and they were delicious. The best potatoes and beautifully cooked.

Probably the best potato chips in Ireland

It’s exactly what they advertise it’s hard to give them anything less than 5. They sells chips with dips. The dips are exceptional, my favourite was the garlic one as it was more than just a basic garlic sauce but they also have a small collection of others. The sauces themselves ranged from very good to just okay. I personally wasn’t in love with the salt and vinegar dip but the truffle one is also quite enjoyable.
