The food was good and well presented. Nice atmosphere with live music.
It's a shame the waitress wasn't smiling and wasn't very pleasant.

A great place supporting the local rugby team, with a wonderful local Irish dishes. Fish and Chips, Lamb Irish Stew, Caesar Salad and Goat Cheese salad were delicious!

The food is delicious - the cottage pie is perfect comfort food. The place felt warm and friendly from the moment we walked in, everyone seemed to be having a good time, and we certainly enjoyed ourselves.

Wonderful Saturday afternoon. Rugby games on TV. The food was great. Very active place, but easy to talk in the restaurant bar area.

Excellent food but not enough staff. We had to wait over twenty minutes after our table was cleared to get the check and pay.

Called in here after the rugby, the place was packed but didn't have to wait to long to served and the pints were great. All the staff were friendly and the local lads made us feel more than welcome. We had a really good night and came away with a t-shirt as a souvenir.

A very nice location. There were plenty of seats available on a Monday evening at 6:00 PM. The service was excellent and accommodating to allergies, and a dish was easily changed. The food was delicious.

Located just off of Galways Eyre square, Murty Rabbitt's is easily accessible, and just a short walk from all major traffic links.
The venue itself is spacious, and classically sports bar adorned, and wall to wall with sports playing screens , as one might expect from the home of Connaught rugby.
The staff whilst generally polite and friendly, all bar one seemed to be studiously avoiding eye contsct, and many a general prompt had to be given, for cutlery, salt & pepper, water etc.
I get it, I work in hospitality and the seasonal burn is real....
The food was something of a roller coaster. Between my partner and I we ordered the vegetarian nachos, the boneless ribs, the grilled salmon and the fish pie.
Firstly it's nice to have more than one fish option available. The whole steaks and burgers thing really is quite over played.
The boneless ribs (that are in fact belly pork not ribs) were delightfully tender and melted in the mouth in a rich and flavourful sauce, the nachos on the other hand , whilst perfectly adequate and undeniably generous for a starter, we're no more thrilling than I might have made for myself from the Centra down the road for half the price.
The grilled salmon was delicious, moist and quite the sizable portion, in a rare treat the vegetables that came with it were bright with just the right amount of crispness.
Then came the fish pie , presentation wise outstanding, a colourful side salad a beautiful dome of mash with a golden crown of cheese on top... unfortunately that is where the wonder ended. For reasons neither of us could fathom, inside the fish pie was an ENORMOUS amount of mozzarella cheese , I don't mean that sprinkling on the top, I mean IN that fish pie, in such a quantity that every forkful had its own super stringy cheese pull... which I otherwise love in pasta and pizzas; But in fishpie the sheer volume leads to a stringy , chewy and fast congealling meal, that in a rare occurrence, ultimately went uneaten.
All in all I've checked it off the list, if your focus is on something else and food happens to be there, it's not so bad; but otherwise a place I don't imagine myself returning to.
