we have now become regulars here for our wine and cheese night and we have never experienced such kind and brilliant hospitality. the owner is such a gem, makes you feel welcome and at home from the moment you step in. a must visit place tucked away in the heart of galway

What an absolute gem in Galway! This wine bar is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious wine, top-quality charcuterie, olives, and cheese. Every item we tasted was carefully selected and paired to perfection — you can really tell there’s a lot of thought behind the menu. A huge part of what made the experience so memorable was the owner, Barry. He was incredibly welcoming and full of knowledge about wines and cheeses from all over. He took the time to chat with us, make recommendations, and share fascinating stories behind the selections. His passion for what he does truly shines through. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a cozy, high-quality spot to relax and indulge, this place ticks all the boxes. We’ll definitely be back!

Hands down the nicest experience I’ve had in a restaurant for years. Food and wine were incredible and Barry was so lovely ✨ I would go here regularly if we lived local. Spotless and the quality of food is so high. Do not miss this place if your in Galway. It’s also so nice to support a local business owner using local produce 🇮🇪

This was what we needed when we needed it. Located on the edges of the Latin Quarter, this was the place we needed when we had enough of Quay street. It was quiet, it was quant, it had good wines, great cheeses, and tasty meats and very friendly service. The weather was great so we took advantage of their outdoor seating and couldn't have asked for anything better than the evening we had.

Ubicado en los bordes del Barrio Latino, este era el lugar que necesitábamos cuando estábamos hartos de la calle Quay. Era tranquilo, era cuantioso, tenía buenos vinos, grandes quesos, y carnes sabrosas y un servicio muy amable. El tiempo era genial, así que aprovechamos su asiento al aire libre y no podíamos haber pedido nada mejor que la noche que tuvimos.

My husband and I were looking for a spot for a light dinner. Trieste Cafe was perfect! The meat, cheeses, and fruits were very fresh and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Barry and his wife have created such a gem in Galway. Opening in Feb of 2020 and having to quickly pivot to a new business plan bc of the pandemic, their takeaway Charcuterie boxes were a hit! Turning that into what is now the concept of the restaurant is genius! Wonderful food and delicious wine.

Qué gran lugar para cenar. Barry, eres un tesoro. Tanto mi marido y yo cenamos en esta maravillosa cafetería y bar de vinos esta noche y disfrutamos totalmente de nuestra comida, el vino, el ambiente, toda la experiencia. Un excelente lugar para disfrutar de una noche / tarde
