04/04/2026: We visited here en-route from Belfast to Kildare. Gutted is all we can say. We booked here after reading the reviews. Our soup was barely warm and the bread for the club sandwiches a bit stale and about an inch thick that it was so dry to eat. Still they refunded one sandwich and apologised. Sometimes you’re just unlucky. Place / setting looked great though as did other peoples main meals.

15/04/2026: We had family event at this excellent restaurant. We availed of the 2 course set menu at 33 euro. Starters of soup, Caesar salad, garlic mushrooms were all well received. Mains ranged from roast beef , sea bass, veg pasta and sirloin steak which had a supplement but was superbly cooked. Nobody was disappointed and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

08/04/2026: Irish/Guinness stew 🍲 was very very tasty. Staff was very nice too and the atmosphere was very nice and lively. Over all a very pleasant experience.

24/04/2026: Happened upon hartes through a recommendation on gluten free app. Beautifully decorated inside. Waiter went through menu with me and explained what I could have. Food was amazing with generous portions and really good service

24/04/2026: Busy on a Thursday evening but a bargain menu of 20 euro for two courses was still available. I had crispy pork for a starter which was more fat than crisp but tasty enough. Sole in curry sauce with rice was delicious. My companion had the 39 euro steak. To be fair it was a fairly good steak, pepper sauce, chips, two onion rings but there was something sort of bare looking about the plate. Maybe a salad garnish would be nice. With one dessert, a pint, two 00 Peronis and two coffees it came to around 100 euro. Staff were efficient and friendly.

05/04/2026: Connor, the barman at Avenue Bar and Restaurant, is absolutely exceptional. His mixology is incredible, his service is outstanding, and it is all topped off with the kind of personality every customer hopes for. Connor is the reason we became repeat customers. If his drinks were not already the star of the show, he easily would be himself. He has made several evenings truly memorable. Matteo also deserves a special mention. He is consistently welcoming, attentive and professional, and he adds so much to the warm atmosphere of the place. His service is excellent, and he helps make every visit feel smooth, relaxed and enjoyable. They are truly lucky to have him, and his contribution certainly does not go unnoticed. Andrew was an absolute pleasure to be served by. He was attentive, personable and eager to make sure everything was just right, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. What really stood out was the human touch in his service — we had such a lovely chat with him, and it was genuinely refreshing to be served by someone so warm and engaging.

02/04/2026: Arrived here at 12:55, and was seated immediately, had a delicious Goats Cheese Brioche with chips (it was yummy, and their chips aren't just cheaper crappy "filler" chips you sometimes get), had a very nice -- and large -- cappuccino. Went for a poo and the toilets were very clean. Had a second Cappuccino. Efficient service, too. By the time I got out, it was nearly 12:56, so plenty of time for other activities. Would recommend (though the guy next to me had a minor conniption over something about his new Rolex not working... I dunno...

18/03/2026: Good food, good service, small and can be a bit cramped and noisy but otherwise an excellent spot in Kilcock for food. Best coffee in Kilcock without a doubt.

16/04/2026: When the first excise cut came in they increased diesel price by 5 cent in the afternoon before the midnight change. Their fuel has been 2 15 for the last while today 2 10 they put their diesel up by 5 cent halving the benefit of the new 10 cent excise cut.

20/04/2026: Beautiful food ,restaurant is spotless and lovely and bright.Great portions and well priced.Our waitress was very friendly.

19/04/2026: The meal was very generous, and the waitresses were extremely friendly. I recommend the veggie falafel curry! The desserts are enormous; plan on one dessert for two if you hope to finish it.
