29/06/2024: Very satisfied by dinner here which was tasty and decent value. Started off with mussels with nduja, good portion and a good combination of tastes with garlic bread on the side. Mains were really great - featherblade of beef which was huge, juicy and came with a really tasty jus. Lamb was also sweet and juicy, and was a nice change to have polenta and kale served alongside it. Service was fine as were the pints. Definitely a step above the usual pub fare and worthy of the designation gastropub!

21/07/2024: Staff are very friendly and accommodating! I had the crisy duck wrap, unfortunately the duck was mostly fat, which isn’t the most appealing in a wrap because you can’t avoid it, and the rest of the duck was nice but definitely not crispy. Coffees were tasty and lemon iced tea was very nice, will probably be back, but will be going for something different.

13/06/2024: This is a pure gem of a place. It's a relaxed and friendly environment with a staff who are like a happy family. We love this place and try to eat there at least once a week.

22/06/2024: Best pizza in town. The dough is super fluffy, no grease, very traditionally Italian in the best way. The pasta is also really good. You'll have difficulty finding a better alternative 😁 I wish the ambiente was nicer, tables outside are slidy and barebones, not even ice/lemon in the glass. Nothing that is hard to fix but it takes away from the incredible food. All in all definitely worth coming back!

21/06/2024: Fab coffee and food, was just really disappointed a sit-in coffee was served in a disposable cup, it takes from the experience. The same way if you went to a nice pub and were served your drinks in plastic cups it just wouldn't be the same. Coffee and food was delicious but I couldn't go back based on the disposable approach here.

25/06/2024: Very nice place. Run the old way :) Owner comes up to each table and asks if everything tastes good. Portions are massive. Food is delicious. Well deserved 5 stars

20/06/2024: Some dishes were very nice but the duck in the crispy duck salad was extremely dry and the Lemon Chicken was so sweet it was not edible for us. The satay chicken and the Penang curry were great though 👍 We have travelled to Thailand on two occasions and eat Thai food all the time.

18/06/2024: Had a lovely meal here & they accepted our dog inside - first time in a Thai restaurant! The 4 person table by the serving area is used for people with dogs - thank you

07/06/2024: Second time in zambreros today and the food was amazing, (as expected from my first time there). I ordered a big toasted burrito with pork and it was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would strongly recommend!

24/05/2024: Dos capas tacos are always lovely in here, I was served by Abby in the store. She was very helpful and explained all my options for me and made some great recommendations per my request. The food was made in great time, I did not have to wait long and the price was reflected in the quality of the meal.

We celebrated my sister's wedding here in May of 2024 and a true & proper Irish celebration it was! Every aspect and detail from start to finish was planned and executed perfectly, but exceeded all expectations by a long shot with all their special touches and beautiful property to showcase! The wonderful team at the Carton House became our extended family for the week, and maybe even for life. Thomas, Jonny, Orla, Claire, Derbhail, Grace, Eunice, the late night staff at the front desk & bar, and to all those who made the entire experience fantastic... THANK YOU! Until we meet again Carton House, and I hope it will be very soon :)
