05/03/2026: My wife called to place a bulk order of desserts. We usually order from here on weekends for ourselves through delivery and really enjoy the desserts, so we wanted our friends to try them as well. However, when she called to check if bulk orders were accepted, the response from the person who answered was quite rude and full of attitude. They simply said they would not take bulk orders, but it was the way it was said that was disappointing. When my wife asked further, she was told to just refer to the menu, again in a very dismissive tone. This is not the best way to approach a customer. We like the desserts here, but experiences like this make us less likely to order again if the customer service does not improve.

24/04/2026: Busy on a Thursday evening but a bargain menu of 20 euro for two courses was still available. I had crispy pork for a starter which was more fat than crisp but tasty enough. Sole in curry sauce with rice was delicious. My companion had the 39 euro steak. To be fair it was a fairly good steak, pepper sauce, chips, two onion rings but there was something sort of bare looking about the plate. Maybe a salad garnish would be nice. With one dessert, a pint, two 00 Peronis and two coffees it came to around 100 euro. Staff were efficient and friendly.

24/04/2026: Happened upon hartes through a recommendation on gluten free app. Beautifully decorated inside. Waiter went through menu with me and explained what I could have. Food was amazing with generous portions and really good service

15/05/2026: Such a lovely experience, today I visited with a group of people with intellectual disabilities through work, the staff were amazing. Staff were so accommodating, patient and kind and made our group feel very welcome. Food was absolutely amazing as well . Thank you very much!

01/05/2026: My only regret about the Grill Shack, was only finding out about it now. Staff were great, food was quality and big portions. Plenty of outdoor seating, small playground for kids, outdoor BBQ for summer and picturesque views of the donkeys and goats in the field

20/04/2026: What a delight! Both the Café itself and the food. It was a pleasure to visit again, the food was excellent, the staff were amazing and the Sunday lunch was a treat for a tired passer by. With options for changes of the meals to make them suitable for various diets, large portions and accompanied with excellent coffee, this place is well worth a trip on its own.

02/04/2026: Arrived here at 12:55, and was seated immediately, had a delicious Goats Cheese Brioche with chips (it was yummy, and their chips aren't just cheaper crappy "filler" chips you sometimes get), had a very nice -- and large -- cappuccino. Went for a poo and the toilets were very clean. Had a second Cappuccino. Efficient service, too. By the time I got out, it was nearly 12:56, so plenty of time for other activities. Would recommend (though the guy next to me had a minor conniption over something about his new Rolex not working... I dunno...

01/04/2026: Was looking for a new Indian place to dine at and came across this restaurant while living close, and to my surprise they had dishes which normally loads of other places only do them on weekends which was a great surprise for me.. so that was a good highlight to my experience and definitely food was good and worth the visit, will definitely visit again and try some of there other dishes..

02/04/2026: Food is decent but they use wooden cutlery, which is unfortunate considering I was sitting in. The staff are helpful but forgot our drinks and weren’t customer-facing when we went to the till to pay.

26/03/2026: Food really not as good as it is hyped up to be. Service was not great either. Would not recommend for the price. They don't even come to the table to take your order but the website asks for a tip many times?!!?!!

05/01/2026: Could be so much more...... Location is great, and the cafe itself is nice inside. On the negatives, their coffee is middle of the road relative to the other independents in Naas, but is the most expensive and the only one without a loyalty system. Routinely, you've to interrupt the staff having loud conversations to order - examples being how much they're looking forward to "getting f..... up tonight" & how their colleague earns a higher hourly rate despite being a "lazy C...". To their credit, the burritos are very nice, but you've to wait for an arbitrary time to order. Arrived in last week to order one, was literally the only person in the shop aside from two staff, ironically leaning against the burrito station, but was told "not til later".
