05/07/2026: We stopped in here on our way back to Waterford after spending 2 days straight with a dying relative in Dublin. The moment we walked in the lady at the counter made a comment and I said we were dog tired. She asked if we were travelling far and I just said what was going on with us.
She was amazing in her response to us and next thing she had us seated with menus.
The staff were so amazingly attentive to us without being intrusive and when the food arrived it was amazing.
It was so nice to be able to just switch off and decompress and have a normal hour in the madness we are going through and all the staff were so good.
This is an amazing gastro pub with fantastic food and staff that are a credit to it.
I highly recommend it and it will become our regular stopping point on the road from Dublin to Waterford.

21/06/2026: Not only is one of the most cosy and beautiful book stores we've been to, but their staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. No matter how much chaos we bring in with all our questions and going back and forth with new stuff to buy as we keep discovering things the more we explore the store, they always smile and make us feel at home.
Their selection is just lovely: from the range of books, to the stationery, to their warhammer section. They've helped us grow our collection of miniatures and books, and find a couple of new favourites on the way!
Also, their coffee is really good!

10/05/2026: A very nice local pub with good Guinness, friendly and helpful staff and chatty locals. There is also live music over the weekends, till around midnight, around then the bar closes the doors to new customers but you can still sit in and finish your pint.
04/05/2026: Good local bar with sport on television, live music on the weekends. If you want to stay rooms are comfortable and spacious but not for early sleepers. No food just snacks like crisps and nuts :(

03/07/2026: Traveling from Dublin to Cork, we stopped into this lovely shop for coffee. I had my first scone with clotted cream and jam. Loved it! Fresh baked goods and great coffee. The owner even came out spoke to us for a bit. Awesome first stop in this lovely country.

01/07/2026: Our first time ordering here and we will definitely be back! By far the nicest pizza and chips takeaway that we have had in a very long time. We got the margarita and a large chips and demolished them before we had a chance to snap a picture and leave a review. Great quality, very good value for money and the guys in the shop were super cool. 10/10 🙏
16/06/2026: Ordered Doner meat and chips tray. Tiny amount of chips and way too much sauce. Really below average compared to other chippers I've tried.

16/07/2026: Very poor quality food in particular the steak sandwich. The meat was stringy and tough.
15/06/2026: Had such a poor experience here last Friday night. Prawn cocktail Starter came and was inedible due to spice. It was three tiny prawns on chopped iceberg lettuce for 16€- we sent them back as could not eat. Was then told they made a mistake and sauce was too spicy and then served us replacement ones that were awful too but told they would charge for them. The main course was terrible- bland fish and chips with zero flavour and dried up chips we couldn’t even eat for 26€. We had to ask for cutlery and twice and then had to wait ten mins for it. Awful from start to finish and when we went to pay the starters were still on the bill and I had to request for them to be taken off. So disappointing as brought a friend for a celebration meal. Ewe used to love fallons but will not be back.

07/12/2025: Indian food is absolutely lovely, the butter chicken is out of this world! The delivery driver who dropped the food was also extremely kind.
05/10/2025: Got a kebab and a pizza.
All the food was cold on collection, kebab had little veg and zero taster, doner meat was near raw. I would not eat here again.

04/06/2026: I spent nearly 60 on my meals. The crispy chicken was harder than a rock—how long had it been fried? I really don’t know if the chef fell asleep. I’m not coming back again.
11/05/2026: Me and my wife had food poison from here. Thanks God we didn't give or child some of the food. Never again and if they keep carrying on like this probably will be close soon. Please if you have no other options but ordering from this place please do not give it to a child.
Update. My mother in law got very sick too after eating from this place. We all had chicken.

Great service even nicer food I’ve been to bandons plenty of times have tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed! The beef is my favourite but there’s plenty of options for everybody ! 10/10 would recommend
13/07/2025: The food…..was the nicest food I’ve had in a long time unreal experience fast service lovely staff I had the Mexican chicken burger omg unreal big portions aswell the steak sandwich could feed two people and the chips where chips can’t complain lovely atmosphere we only went for food we didn’t stay there but the pub was lovely the price is fair for what you getting

The Hideout

19/04/2025: Staff were lovely, very friendly and efficient. Alot of dishes on the menu, but we got the toasties and chips. Toasties were decent, chips were nice and hot.
I also got a latte, and the glass had visible coffee stains dried into it. That didn't come off when I rubbed it to check.
Also, the womens bathrooms have cameras in them over the mirrors pointing at the stalls, which was a bit disturbing. The toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, visible build-up of dirt on and around the toilet seat, the smells was also disgusting in the toilets. Only one hand dispenser had soap in it, there was toilet paper just left lying around.
08/04/2025: Every now and then you find a place that ticks all the boxes and the Hideout Kilcullen was just that. Made a reservation for two for an anniversary dinner and arrived early, no problem, showen to a nice table by Leigh who was so polite and helpful. We ordered two different dinners and didn't have long to wait, the food was beautifully presented and plenty of it, very tasty. Another member of staff Demi was so bubbley and chatted to us making us feel welcome which added to a wonderful evening. I will definitely return, big thanks to the staff.
