O'Connells Bar in Kilcullen

05/07/2026: We stopped in here on our way back to Waterford after spending 2 days straight with a dying relative in Dublin. The moment we walked in the lady at the counter made a comment and I said we were dog tired. She asked if we were travelling far and I just said what was going on with us. She was amazing in her response to us and next thing she had us seated with menus. The staff were so amazingly attentive to us without being intrusive and when the food arrived it was amazing. It was so nice to be able to just switch off and decompress and have a normal hour in the madness we are going through and all the staff were so good. This is an amazing gastro pub with fantastic food and staff that are a credit to it. I highly recommend it and it will become our regular stopping point on the road from Dublin to Waterford.
