Back a few months later with a review as looking at the menu for the next order! What a gem to have down the road! We ordered burgers and fries for collection and had a feast at home. Friendly staff and Chef! I don’t know another premises where you’re greeted by the chef as you walk in the door and to see him in action behind the grill is like some form of ASMR stuff! Everything tasty, will be back for the class food and would much rather support a local business than the giant conglomerates.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely delicious! The steaks were simply outstanding — perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and full of flavour. You can really taste the quality of the meat. The sides and sauces were also excellent and complemented the steaks perfectly. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a fantastic overall dining experience. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to any steak lover!

Horse and Hound Restaurant

17/09/2026: Popped in for one ended up the rest of the afternoon. The landlord was very chatty and helpful. Lots of wall art to look and see a little of the history. The bar was well stocked and well presented. Hospitality at its best and well worth a visit.
26/08/2026: Great friendly welcome, outside seating perfect for music and side entrance is it deal.

Friel's of Straffan

25/09/2026: A special thank you to our waiter and the kitchen team for the wonderful service and delicious food! We had a fantastic evening at Friel’s of Straffan! The steak was huge and incredibly tasty, and everything else we ordered was just as delicious. Very generous portions and really reasonable prices — excellent value for money! The service was outstanding: everyone was friendly, attentive and welcoming. A big thank you to our waiter and the chefs for taking such good care of us. The live music added to the lovely atmosphere and made the evening even more special. We’d happily come back. Highly recommended!
