The best restaurants in Kildare

16/07/2025: We are regular customers here on a Tuesday or Wednesday but we arrived tonight Wednesday and were told by a very rude old waitress it was take away only I said we were here on previous dates this wasent the case she said it’s weekend only which is not true we have been there Tuesdays and Wednesday s before it just did not suit her tonight we are paying customers this old waitress is lacking basic manners on many occasions with some people I know the food and rest of the staff are very good here this old waitress is a rude person

08/09/2025: Incredible good, really. It is a little bit more expensive than the others in the area, but for sure worth it. The bread served before the main, the meet, the sauce, the leek, everything in the perfect cooked time, and what a combination. Also, amazing atmosphere and service. All staff smiling and super polite. The host was so kind and friendly, managed to get a table for us even with just half an hour before closing. Really exceed my expectations. Congratulations for all team!

23/07/2025: Lemongrass Naas is by far our favourite restaurant in this area. We dine there on a regular basis and we’re consistently impressed by how good it is. The food is amazing, the choice is huge and varied. The lunch bento has to be the best for excellent food, superb value and outstanding choice. The children’s menu offers a great choice of healthy meals at a very affordable rate. The evening menu also offers the same amazing food, at prices that are tremendous value in the current climate. What can I say about the staff? They are simply the greatest, the friendliest, the best trained, the most welcoming. Thank you all - especially Danagh, Jamshed and of course all the regular and seasonal staff. I haven’t all the names to list here, but we do appreciate you all! We cannot forget the outstanding chefs, all of whom work away there in the open kitchen, to produce all those amazing meals. Thank you all so much. Congratulations to the Lemongrass owners and we wish you the very best in the future.

30/07/2025: We got off the train in Athy and walked into town looking for a taxi and stumbled upon Clancy's. The wonderful people ordered us a taxi and we stayed for a pint. Excellent service, and a warm and friendly atmosphere!

16/08/2025: Went tonight and I have to say huge credit to staff Joey and Courtney very welcoming and accommodating, atmosphere and ambience was chill and warm. food was juicy and perfect and we weren’t waiting long at all even though we could see they were busy. Will be back :) thanks guys

29/07/2025: This was one of the nicest places we visited lately, a little, tranquil paradise, managed and run by absolutely lovely people. One normally goes there to buy a tree. We talked to and were helped by Anthony, who was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice. We stopped at the Café there for a coffee and a bite to eat and were greeted by Rambo, the duck, who, all by himself, decided to leave the lake and become a bouncer. All day, he spends at the entrance to the coffee shop and inspects every person walking through the door. We are back at home now with a strawberry tree. It is just about to be planted. I can wholeheartedly recommend this centre; a lovely outing with lovely people, beautiful plants, a coffee shop, and a bouncer duck. And we will back for more.

09/08/2025: A definite gem in a small town. The ladies who run SoCoffee are dedicated, hard working and very community based. While most modern coffee shops solely focus on speciality coffee and takeaway, SoCoffee gets just the trick with amazing coffee, somewhere to sit, eat and socialise. Evident in the constant flow of customers, they provide such a lovely space that most coffees shops are missing, community. Their new catering service is, as always, above and beyond what you expect, similar to their customer service for all people 🤎

27/05/2025: This is exactly what my daughter and I were looking for in a coffee shop! First of all, great coffee, and what I especially appreciated was that my Americana was served really hot, which is hard to find these days. The scones were excellent too, and we will return and try other pastries. It's small and cosy, with a quintessential small coffee shop feel. If you're staying at the Court Yard hotel, it's essentially right across the street.

05/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for the chicken burger) The chicken burger was absolutely delicious and the highlight of my visit-juicy, flavorful, and well worth it. I also tried the cheese & garlic fries along with the fried chicken, but those fell short as they were quite greasy and had a hint of old cooking oil. That said, the menu has some great value options, and the pricing on certain dishes is a real steal. The staff were friendly and kind, and it was convenient that they accepted Revolut payment when I didn’t have cash on hand.

16/08/2025: Fantastic taco chips around. Great portions for the price and the crispy chicken is fantastic here.

30/08/2025: The garlic prawns from the lunch menu was heavenly! Quick service, delicious food. Highly recommended.

27/08/2025: Nice place. Waiting staff are excellent and attentive. Very noisy when busy. Not easy to chat. Food average. Price reasonable.

28/05/2025: I recently visited Zambero in Maynooth and had a really good experience. I was served by Darcey and Ciara, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered a toasted burrito which was delicious, packed with fresh ingredients, flavour, and perfectly wrapped. Loved the relax and clean atmosphere in the restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back!

24/05/2025: I arrived flustered just before closing time, but Nathan and Ciara were so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent and I’m sad I’m only passing through otherwise this place would be a regular!
