28/06/2025: First time in Monasterevin and Brennans was a great surprise, family run bar with decades of history and history. We were immediately offered the tour when we arrived, which was brilliant. Highly recommend it.

17/10/2025: Wouldn’t get my coffee anywhere else than here 10/10! Super friendly and accommodating staff, you can feel the great energy through the drive through window and the coffee is lovely everytime !

14/11/2025: The place is lovely, I like how they have seasonal decorations, it really brightens up the village. The coffee and pastry’s are lovely and the staff are very welcoming and lovely to chat with. I like getting my coffee, they have a lot of range and you can ask for more. Glad they are getting to celebrate their 6th year opening here’s hoping for another successful six years.

19/09/2025: Honestly the best bar ive been in in my life, friendly staff and super accommodating, never have i been to another bar like this. Caoimhe does some of the best cocktails ive had, and i do drink cocktails from all over the land. They also have some of the best Guinness too, and doesnt put you out of pocket.

06/05/2026: We had a very nice dinner here at Bujolle Bistro, great food and nice atmosphere. The sea bass was really nice.

29/03/2026: One of the best restaurants around, it covers all you would want in a local restaurant, the food is cooked to order, you can see the chef cooking it, the food is very tasty, pick the mussels for starter, they have fabulous specials, the waiting staff are so friendly, they always greet you with a smile and welcome back, it is great, great value for money, the layout is small but not to cramped, one thing, if they are busy you may have to wait awhile for some of your meal as I said before the chef cooks everything there and then. I now go there regularly. Still going 8 years on.

29/03/2026: Clean plates for everyone - a compliment to the chef! The variety on the menu was tested by our party of 17 - from teriyaki salmon to duck, pasta, cajun chicken, stirfry and pasta dishes and even lamb meant there was something for everyone. We were very well looked after by Roisin and Theo (thanks for taking our photos). We will be back :-).

23/03/2026: Went early in the day but despite being quiet service was very slow. Given table quickly but long wait to order food and even longer wait to get drinks that were ordered. Kitchen was fine and food gorgeous but server was switched off. Left with empty glasses and on checked in once at the end despite only two other small groups there.

31/03/2026: Visited this restaurant recently with high expectations given its “French” positioning, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The prices are quite high for what is offered (€9.50 for a kir, €19.50 for a kir royal), which could be acceptable if the overall experience matched—but it didn’t. Hearing the owner ask staff to use cheap wine for the kir, in front of customers, felt very inappropriate. There was no amuse-bouche served with the drinks, which is supposed to when served as Aperitif. The starter (foie gras crème brûlée style) was honestly unpleasant: the texture was too runny, the taste overly rich and sickening, and it was served with only a few extremely thin slices of toasted bread. Very difficult to finish. The main course didn’t reflect French cuisine at all: an orzo “risotto” that was just average. The steak was mediocre, and the “homemade” fries looked very much like frozen ones. The dessert (strawberry melba) seemed like it had been prepared well in advance: the whipped cream had collapsed, and the whole dish was heavy and unappealing. I couldn’t finish it despite having a sweet tooth. Finally, the service was cold throughout: no smiles, little attention, and not very welcoming. Even when paying, there was barely a thank you. Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially considering the prices and the expectations of a restaurant presenting itself as French.
