We had a few beers and he called a street saxophonist to play for a couple on their honeymoon.
The waiters were polite and attentive.

05/07/2025: The Glenroyal is THE place to stay in Maynooth. Not only are the rooms absolutely fabulous, the food is too. The staff members are all so friendly and helpful. And right across from the hotel is a little shopping area for groceries, pharmacy, etc., so it could not have been more convenient. As a person in a wheelchair, it was far more accessible than most other places. I would rate it a ten on a scale of one to five (five being highest)!!! ;)

Just wish they served the Grab Box Meals on the Dine-in Menu.
Other than that, it’s a lovely restaurant with some of the best food I’ve ever had. Their curry is heavenly and delivery is always super quick and piping hot!
Great establishment, big thanks to all staff. Every experience there is a good one.

14/07/2025: They have a good selection, especially of speciality foods, BUT I have noticed something very concerning on multiple occasions: the food, especially the fresh food like bread and vegetables/ fruit tastes and smells of some sort of chemical cleaner. It's like they have been stored next to washing powder, and the food has been tainted by it. I have noticed this on multiple occasions and have never ever experienced it with produce from any other supermarkets.

26/06/2025: What a pleasant surprise to find this place. I enjoyed a beautifully presented, tasty, nutritious and colourful plate of food. I had the wagyu burger which was gluten and dairy free and so delicious. The combinations of flavours were next level. The husband and wife owners are friendly and very helpful. Even though they were closing soon, they happily allowed me inside and accommodated me. I'll definitely be back soon!
14/06/2025: I love this place. Only found it for lunch 2 weeks ago and been back twice. Food is high standard/quality and simply delicious. There’s nothing on the menus I’ve seen that I would not eat/try. I just have to make a lot more return visits to get through the choices. Husband and wife run it and are lovely charming people, very friendly. And food is really reasonably priced considering the quality. Complete thumbs up, I’ll be a returning customer for sure. Lovely experience.

15/07/2025: Visited this so called,Irish Pub and while the atmosphere had that somewhat cozy, authentic Irish vibe with dim lighting and lively music, the service and management was a major letdown. Our server seemed disinterested, barely checking on our table, and it took ages to get our drinks—nearly 20 minutes for a pint of Guinness. Food orders were mixed up, and when we asked for corrections, the staff was curt and unapologetic. The fish and chips were decent, but the overall experience was soured by the inattentive and slow service. Won’t be rushingback.

20/07/2025: Not convinced all these reviews are real. Look on just eat where people simply don't receive their order, it's completely incorrect or arrives stone cold 2 hours later. Quite possibly the worst Dominos in the country.
02/07/2025: Made an order at 1pm for a calzone and bottled water,its currently 2.47pm order is not here,restaurant was called twice i was advised order will be here in 10mins its been over 30mins order is still not here! the person on the phone said the traffic is bad,it takes 20mins max to deliver from maynooth to Kilcock not 2 hours, when i asked for a refund they said the driver is on the way and will be here in 10, its been over half hour order still not here neither is a refund!!!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and I think I found the perfect spot, the food was great and we enjoyed ourselves in a very relaxed atmosphere.

We had a big family dinner here tonight and let me tell you nobody left hungry or unsatisfied.
Now I love Italian food. I'm quite picky about it. I had the Matriciana pasta course and it was exceptional. The chef had found some wonderful chilli's in the market that morning and included them in the dish. It was fresh hot sweet and a nice chilli heat. Really impressive.
I also had the chicken parmesan with pasta in tomato sauce. Hearty and tasty.
David the owner is a hoot.
