14/08/2025: Bardons has the nicest food in Kilcullen 10 times nicer than the hideout! Great service even nicer food I’ve been to bandons plenty of times have tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed! The beef is my favourite but there’s plenty of options for everybody ! 10/10 would recommend

13/07/2025: The food…..was the nicest food I’ve had in a long time unreal experience fast service lovely staff I had the Mexican chicken burger omg unreal big portions aswell the steak sandwich could feed two people and the chips where chips can’t complain lovely atmosphere we only went for food we didn’t stay there but the pub was lovely the price is fair for what you getting

22/09/2025: We were quite a large party for the restaurant, 13 in total but they were very accommodating. The occasion was a birthday. The party included a 93 yr old, 2 type 1 diabetics and 2 people on restricted diets for health reasons. The menu was varied, lots of options for everyone and the staff were very helpful. The food was excellent, everyone was very happy with their choices. Highlight included chicken in porcini mushroom sauce (main) and the calamari (starter); younger party members had pizza and loved it. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant; no rushing, attentive staff without being intrusive and good value for money. Highly recommend if you're looking a great dining experience in Newbridge!

15/07/2025: While I enjoyed the evening spent here, I’d put a lot of that on the member of staff that looked after us. The food was good and the service was friendly throughout. Given our party size we ended up being seated outside and the weather made this quite pleasant , however as the sun started to set it was obvious that given Dublins normal weather schedule of rain, the focus hadn’t been on making the outside area as special as the inside. The setting is lovely with large trees and garden to look over but there was no fairy lights in the parasol, very little lighting at all in fact. No outdoor gas fires (unless the large black ash tray is normally a fire), no attention to detail that you’d expect from a fairmont (see fairmont whistler for the perfect example of an outdoor space done right). Tables weren’t prioritised over the inside so dirty glassware were left way longer than should have been. Out of the extensive wine list only 2 and eventually zero wines were left despite the women’s open being over a week ago so a restock should have been done. There was also a hair in one of my parties dish that was just brushed off and one of our drinks came with crud on the glass so somethings slipping abit somewhere. Nevertheless, enjoyed my evening here but expected more from a fairmont restaurant.

29/03/2026: Clean plates for everyone - a compliment to the chef! The variety on the menu was tested by our party of 17 - from teriyaki salmon to duck, pasta, cajun chicken, stirfry and pasta dishes and even lamb meant there was something for everyone. We were very well looked after by Roisin and Theo (thanks for taking our photos). We will be back :-).

02/06/2026: I attended a corporate night in this hotel, amazing staff, food, and rooms.. had a super nights sleep and the breakfast was perfect the next morning..

22/05/2026: I had a very unpleasant experience here and can safely say that I don’t intend on returning. First of all, the pub was closed at 22:00 despite being promoted online as “open until 23:30”. This resulted in my group being unable to properly coordinate our meeting as the pub was closed far earlier than anticipated and the information online is misleading. Secondly, despite my whole table being over 18 including myself and having provided ID, I was refused service of alcoholic drinks as the only one without ID while initially being told that there was no issues if at least one of us provided ID. When I had offered to present a photo I happened to have of my driver’s licence, I was turned down and ended up not being able to participate in my own graduation celebration. Thirdly, there was an error with the receipt where my party was overcharged for drinks they had not purchased rather than for the drinks they had ordered at their true price. Mistakes happen, of course, but all these events strung together show a lack of promise for this establishment.

05/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (for the chicken burger) The chicken burger was absolutely delicious and the highlight of my visit-juicy, flavorful, and well worth it. I also tried the cheese & garlic fries along with the fried chicken, but those fell short as they were quite greasy and had a hint of old cooking oil. That said, the menu has some great value options, and the pricing on certain dishes is a real steal. The staff were friendly and kind, and it was convenient that they accepted Revolut payment when I didn’t have cash on hand.
