06/10/2024: The only place in Newbridge with a proper beer garden, screens outside for sports, good atmosphere for younger people outside and nice inside also.
06/10/2024: Went for a pint here with a friend and would definitely recommend McDonnells for a few pints.
The pub has a lovely atmosphere and has an amazing beer garden. Really cool and relaxing feel.
Staff were very friendly.
Would definitely recommend.
Also very important to support local businesses.

02/09/2024: What a wonderful evening! 5 stars all round for food, service and atmosphere. We shared delicious starter platters and mains to allow us to sample the broad selection. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole occasion. Big thanks to Jenny, Tracey and Simon.

10/07/2024: As a regular in the straffan inn I am appalled to see it go so bad!!! From bad beer to no staff or staff that are total novices it's just not acceptable!!! Filthy smelly gents toilet in the bar!! Ladies toilet that is constantly freezing cold and dirty in the lounge!! Enough is enough the K Club boss turns a blind eye to all of this!! Stay well away folks as I will!!!!!

17/12/2024: Fancied some Thai food whilst visiting Maynooth recently, so thought I'd try this place. At first, it was difficult to find (FYI located upstairs within McMahons), however once there all was well. Food was great and served promptly. Service was good, too. Would recommend fro those wanting Thai or anywhere to eat in the Maynooth area.
20/11/2024: Very busy, great food and service but music was slightly too loud for comfortable conversation imo.

05/10/2024: The best pizza in Ireland? Best I can remember having. We had the Behan, Robinson, Heaney and Beckett. Beckett was the star of the show but they were all great.
Yes we ate them on the car bonnet...don't judge.
The dough is so moist and the gluten is so developed it has an amazing structure. The topping quality and pairings are amazing.
On the drive home all we talked about was how good the pizza was.
Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

30/11/2024: Went there for lunch, staff didn't have my reservation ready, significant delay in cheese toastie (was left off the order initially and after the other 5 main), staff almost let us pay for the same meal twice.
Food wasn't great quality, suspected food not prepared in designated areas (e.g cream in desserts smelled of spring onion)
Won't be recommending anytime soon, for lunch at least.
29/11/2024: Had the turkey & Rasher yesterday food was cold, turkey was dry would not go back there for food.
