25/06/2025: Fletcher’s Bar is one of those places that just gets it right. It’s cosy, friendly, and full of character – a proper traditional pub that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t need to. It’s dog friendly (always a win), and there’s a real laid-back vibe that makes you feel instantly welcome. The kind of spot where you can walk in on your own and end up chatting with someone at the bar like you’ve known them for years. Best of all? They serve Murphy’s – and not many places do these days. It’s poured perfectly and tastes just as it should. Just the place to take the dog after a walk, Fletcher’s ticks all the boxes. Can’t recommend it enough.

15/07/2025: While I enjoyed the evening spent here, I’d put a lot of that on the member of staff that looked after us. The food was good and the service was friendly throughout. Given our party size we ended up being seated outside and the weather made this quite pleasant , however as the sun started to set it was obvious that given Dublins normal weather schedule of rain, the focus hadn’t been on making the outside area as special as the inside. The setting is lovely with large trees and garden to look over but there was no fairy lights in the parasol, very little lighting at all in fact. No outdoor gas fires (unless the large black ash tray is normally a fire), no attention to detail that you’d expect from a fairmont (see fairmont whistler for the perfect example of an outdoor space done right). Tables weren’t prioritised over the inside so dirty glassware were left way longer than should have been. Out of the extensive wine list only 2 and eventually zero wines were left despite the women’s open being over a week ago so a restock should have been done. There was also a hair in one of my parties dish that was just brushed off and one of our drinks came with crud on the glass so somethings slipping abit somewhere. Nevertheless, enjoyed my evening here but expected more from a fairmont restaurant.

07/07/2025: Had a lovely breakfast on Sunday morning in Bradburys in Athy with my grandson and his girlfriend home from Spain. There were ten of us and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The food and service was really good it is a really lovely place with outdoor seating in.the lovely garden. We will be back.

09/08/2025: We love this place! Great food, situated in the heart of Clane. Staff are so friendly and it’s reasonably priced with good portion sizes for kids. Cannot recommend enough! Lovely place 😊

02/08/2025: Had a lovely meal at No 19 Italian Restaurant in Newbridge. The food was very good — I had the Straccetti di Manzo and Pollo Milano, while my wife ordered the Arancini di Riso and Risotto con Pancetta. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and nicely presented. Drinks were simple — a Pornstar Martini and a few Cokes — and service was quick and professional. The staff were friendly and attentive, and while our waiter was great, it would’ve been a nice touch if the maître d’ had shown us to our table and talked us through the specials rather than just pointing us over. Not a big deal, but something small that could enhance the experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming — modern with rustic charm, and spotlessly clean. It was busy enough to feel lively but not overly packed. Prices were affordable for the quality of food and service. One suggestion (especially for an Italian restaurant): it would be lovely to see a complimentary bread basket on the table. In Italy, the first basket is often free and it’s a great way to enjoy the sauces and complete the experience. Overall, a solid choice for a casual yet quality Italian meal. I’d recommend it, though personally I tend to cook a lot of Italian at home — so I’m pickier than most. Still, well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

30/07/2025: Great food and service. Very quiet but we went on a weekday evening

30/06/2025: Dad + 1 stopped for lunch at this pub before heading down the road to the Kildare Maze. Several beers on tap including Guinness, Carlsberg, and Rockshore Cider and Lager. The bacon and cheese beef burger was hot and fresh along with great chips. Apple pie was really small for dessert, but I also didn't order the ice cream with it, so it may have been more filling with it.

26/08/2025: First time here but the food and presentation was great. I could tell My filet was undercooked without even cutting it and they quickly took it back for a quick flash under the broiler with no issue and it came back just right. The fish and chips my wife had was a good sized portion and breaded nicely not overly oil soaked at all. All in all good food that hit the spot.
