02/02/2025: A beautiful meal with excellent service on a special occasion - what more could you ask for? Following an amateurish booking fail at another place (which I won't name) Pasquale and his team saved our night by accommodating our party of 4 at very short notice on a busy bank holiday Friday evening, doing so professionally and efficiently. Pasquale's vocational hospitality really puts the gate-keeping, inexperienced staff employed by corner-cutting pubgrub profiteers into stark relief. I'll pay that little bit extra for truly great service and hospitality any time. Huge thanks to Pasquale and his team for saving the day and giving us a memorable evening of excellent food and bar-raising hospitality. We've been before and we'll definitely be back!

27/02/2025: Lovely little cosy restaurant in the heart of Celbridge with Lovely staff. Only thing is, make sure you’re going with a big appetite because the portions are huge including starters!

15/02/2025: Have wanted to go here for ages. It’s a nice place. Service was very good and it was starting to fill up as we were leaving. I’d say the atmosphere is great when it’s full. I loved that they have a nice Albarino by the glass. As a pescatarian, I was disappointed with the options. There was only one fish for mains and tbh it wasn’t great. It felt like 2 dishes on the plate. Roasted cod with a green herb crust, samphire and courgette with a touch of lemon. That was delicate and fresh. Served with muscles that were the smallest I’ve ever seen, in a rich tomato and creamy sauce. Despite not being sure I was eating muscles due to them disappearing in the sauce, the sauce overwhelmed everything else on the plate. Both halves of the plate were very tasty, but I think they didn’t go together. That could just be me though. However, there was no other option besides an Asian roast cauliflower dish. I think that in this day and age, a bit more variety for non meat eaters is expected. My husband has sausages and mash with a Yorkshire pudding. He said it was nice but a bit dry. A tiny little pot of gravy came with it but it couldn’t do much for the YP. He didn’t ask for more which I’m sure they’d have given him, no problem. Overall, a bit disappointing. But I’d say if you eat meat it’s probably a great place as their menu sounds tasty and interesting. Best focaccia I’ve ever had with a superb dip. I’d go back just for that!

11/02/2025: We had our wedding reception at the Brown Bear. Jean and the team are absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. No request was ever to big. Thank you all again for making our day so special! Look forward to visiting in the future. The Brown Bear will always hold a special place in our hearts! Keith, Amy and Croía

19/12/2024: Money hungry owner, 10 coffees and you now only receive 1 stamp on their rewards app. The owner also doesn't understand the definition of NO when you decline a pastry.

10/12/2024: Mine and my daughters favourite place to get coffee/hot chocolate and protein balls! She's only 3 and loves their protein balls. The staff are so friendly and we all look forward to the joke of the week!

25/02/2025: I’ve repeatedly had issues with Domino’s Maynooth. On one occasion, a pepperoni slice ended up in a non-pepperoni pizza. The store offered a free pizza credit, but during my next order, they only applied part of that credit. Despite specifically asking not to have the pizza cut (to avoid cross-contamination), it was cut anyway, and two drinks were missing. After another call, they again promised a full pizza credit, but when I tried to use it, I was told it was only worth €30, and I had to pay for the missing drinks and what should have been a free pizza. I’m posting this review in hopes that management will address these recurring mistakes and improve their service.

26/01/2025: Pizza was left sitting in the restaurant ages for a driver to pick it up, over 30 minutes. Then when the driver did pick it up, they went on a trip around Kildare. Food was stone cold and wedges were still raw. Last time I'll be ordering. Reviews on Just Eat have also put me off ordering again because the amount of people who don't even receive their order is crazy, there's so many!

16/12/2024: I'll have to check in here again then reevaluate Well I went back here with friends unbelievable we were in for 7 15 i order wings and turkey and ham form a waiter who wasn't interested in been there food was fine when we tried to order deserts at. 8 30 1 hour 15 mins later we were told by a young lad that the chefs were gone home so no deserts dreadful but they were happy to take 200 + euros for what we did get i won't be back i won't recommend this place quite the opposite to anyone i speak to a Bad service ok food enough now

23/03/2025: Had a few issues there with our recent visit. The foods okay, smallish portion for the price but nice enough.the restaurant itself is small but it's got a nice atmosphere. The hot chocolate/coffee we got with our food just wasn't great. Left most of it behind and felt the staff weren't the nicest when we mentioned it while paying. Also got overcharged a bit. Paid for bacom with one of our dishes but it didnt come with bacon and had a side of scrambled egg which got charged as a full plate. Ended up an expensive breakfast. We had gone for dinner before and had a similar experience. Maybe not worth the price for what you get. The Clanard Court hotel down the road is a better spot for food I reckon.

27/02/2025: I ordered takeaway before 6pm on a Thursday evening, it didn’t arrive just before 8pm. The wrong order arrived, I phoned to say the order was incorrect, they said that would resend the correct order, which then didn’t arrive until after 9pm. Over 3 hours waiting for food. I will not be ordering from them again.

09/03/2025: The best tasting coffee I can say I have ever had. All the staff are lovely. The coffee beans are roasted on location. The shop has plenty of seating. Lovely selection of drinks and buns. Dog friendly. Always busy.

27/02/2025: Ok, hands down ,the best crew in any shop I've been in. These gals , are just the sweetest, coolest, friendliest bunch. It's a tiny little coffee shop., filled with hearts as big as houses. Oh yeah, almost forgot the coffee is also the best around 💕
