30/03/2025: Lovely old pub and staff very nice but food is very average. I think for the price the portion sizes aren't amazing, although I do understand restaurants are struggling to cope in the current situation with price rises but it just isn't really worth the money. I don't think I'll be returning unfortunately.

24/04/2025: This is a lovely little cafe with delicious wholesome vegan and vegetarian food which can be hard to find outside of Dublin. The coffees were also good. The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered the pav bhaji and the falafel panini and both were tasty and a good portion size.

19/12/2024: Money hungry owner, 10 coffees and you now only receive 1 stamp on their rewards app. The owner also doesn't understand the definition of NO when you decline a pastry.

07/05/2025: A well located eatery in Clane shopping centre beside the Westgrove hotel and Dunnes Stores. I have been a few times for coffee and some food. Open from 9am weekdays but could open earlier as footfall is present.

24/02/2025: Visiting family in Clane, stopped for a coffee and scone, lovely cafe, very reasonable and so clean, we also went for breakfast, the French toast, is excellent.

21/05/2025: Myself and my friend stopped off for coffee and cake after our cycle at Shoda on the 18th May, my friend was waiting for me to arrive and put his cycling helmet down on one of the blue benches which are out the front of the hotel and sat down, when I arrived we moved to a table outside Shoda , I went in to get our coffee and cake and when I arrived out my friend realized that he had forgotten his helmet,he walked back to the bench to discover someone had taken it . I went into the hotel reception to see if it was handed in but was informed that it was not but to check in Shoda , I asked if they could check the camera's but was informed that they couldn't check the camera's but only the duty manager on Monday 19th of May could do this, and I was also informed that there was only camera's on the front of the hotel which is untrue as there is three beside where the benches are . So my advice is to be very careful with your personal belongings if you have the misfortune of going here, we have gone to other coffee shops and never has anything like this happen to us , heads up to any cyclists to please think twice about using Shoda as a coffee stop because it might be a very expensive stop if you're bike's, computer's or helmets get stolen from here .

12/05/2025: This was great and unexpected hotel! the staff was so friendly and helpful! The original site of the guiness brewery has so much history in the building as well as the outside. You can see the original lease for the property. Live music was hosted in the bar area the night that we were there. The rooms a very big and the bathroom is a good size as well.

08/05/2025: Had some lunch here it was nice along with the staff

23/05/2025: Called in for breakfast, service etc was fine. The breakfast was below par, rashers we're bad colour and the sausages were gone off. Bad taste and this was mentioned to the waitress who I told to leave them on my plate and just get a replacement....but it didn't arrive..... Too expensive for what you get especially if it's stale food that can't be eaten. Disappointed and we won't be back anymore

03/05/2025: Absolutely loved this restaurant. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We had amazing gluten free food that we can never find anywhere. Highly recommend 🥰 we even got fantastic gluten free desserts and bread to take home. We will be back 🤩

24/05/2025: I really liked the roastery experimenting with strawberry fermented roasts etc, but the state of the cafe is a shame. No filter at 12:30 on Saturday, no rotation beans, not clean

26/05/2025: Excellent food but literally once each course was finished they brought out the next course straight away. After the dinner plates were taken another waitress came straight over and asked are we having dessert to which we stated we would like a few minutes and she replied oh I'll bring the menus anyway. Wrong time to go there at six pm as they just want the table free for the next patrons, at least that's what it seem like to us.

08/06/2024: Beautiful spot, very good coffee. Would be great if someone (Waterways Ireland/Kildare CoCo I presume) allowed access further down the canal from the other bank as it's a great amenity
