08/01/2026: The food was amazing (I had a dumpling selection starter and Nasi Goreng main) and it arrived to the table super quick! I had trouble picking from the menu because I wanted to try everything The atmosphere and decor was very cool and not too bright or loud. It was a bit busy but that just means it is good and everyone knows it!

01/12/2025: We had a great evening in McCormacks with good friends and great company. Very friendly pub and well recommended.

15/09/2025: Very local place with great meal deals and an authentic vibe. The service was very helpful and patient with us and you get to choose your own ingredients for sandwiches, different cakes and a soup of the day. We’ve loved it and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a place to eat away from the usual tourist places.

26/11/2025: Nice coffee,bit overpriced. Yesterday 25th November went to shoda for coffee still bit overpriced but was disgusted to see on the counter a plate of about 20 mini shopbought mince pies 2 for 3euro. A pack of 10 probably costs 3euro in Tesco or supervalue. Maybe at this time of year they should be free with your coffee.

16/11/2025: Service extremely slow and very disorganised! To see staff arguing amongst themselves in front of customers is not a good thing! I won't be back.

25/06/2025: Fletcher’s Bar is one of those places that just gets it right. It’s cosy, friendly, and full of character – a proper traditional pub that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t need to. It’s dog friendly (always a win), and there’s a real laid-back vibe that makes you feel instantly welcome. The kind of spot where you can walk in on your own and end up chatting with someone at the bar like you’ve known them for years. Best of all? They serve Murphy’s – and not many places do these days. It’s poured perfectly and tastes just as it should. Just the place to take the dog after a walk, Fletcher’s ticks all the boxes. Can’t recommend it enough.

04/02/2026: There was no seating in the bar after meal, the only area at reception was only place for a drink which was freezing, staff did try to put fire to heat but didn't work. Was so cold had to move down to lift areas,then had to sit here with coats on. It's ridiculous that a hotel if this size has no seating area for those that want to have a drink.The arkle bar was full of people having bar food. We tried to get a table in the bar for 3 hours.

04/02/2026: Very disappointed with the membership in the gym and leisure centre. I was a member in first semester from 29th September to December 2025. I tried to get another membership today 04.02.2026 and I was told I’d have to pay €100 joining fee?? Because it’s been 38 days since my membership ended?? The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard off. I’m actually gutted as I loved using the gym here and going for a sauna after it, but after hearing the €100 joining fee I had to just walk out. How can you expect a student to pay a huge joining fee for no reason? At that point you shouldn’t even bother advertising that you offer a student membership.. disgraceful.

29/07/2025: This was one of the nicest places we visited lately, a little, tranquil paradise, managed and run by absolutely lovely people. One normally goes there to buy a tree. We talked to and were helped by Anthony, who was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice. We stopped at the Café there for a coffee and a bite to eat and were greeted by Rambo, the duck, who, all by himself, decided to leave the lake and become a bouncer. All day, he spends at the entrance to the coffee shop and inspects every person walking through the door. We are back at home now with a strawberry tree. It is just about to be planted. I can wholeheartedly recommend this centre; a lovely outing with lovely people, beautiful plants, a coffee shop, and a bouncer duck. And we will back for more.
