28/07/2025: We had a lovely lunch here today. My daughter and I had Ham and Cheese toasties, I was a bit disappointed with the presentation - no salad/crisps etc. It didn’t look too appetizing but they did taste very nice. My mum had a Caprese Salad which was very nice. I would return 💕

13/08/2025: Armelle recently baked the delivered a beautiful, tasty cake for our wedding. She was so thoughtful in squeezing us in last minute after our original baker closed up shop without letting us know. In retrospect, we're glad we ended up with Armelle instead; all our guests loved the cake and the whole process was seamless. We'd definitely recommend Armelle for a wedding cake!

13/07/2025: The food…..was the nicest food I’ve had in a long time unreal experience fast service lovely staff I had the Mexican chicken burger omg unreal big portions aswell the steak sandwich could feed two people and the chips where chips can’t complain lovely atmosphere we only went for food we didn’t stay there but the pub was lovely the price is fair for what you getting

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop! The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee. Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.

26/08/2025: I ate here with 2 friends for a long over due catch up. We went for steak night which we thought was good value for what we received. The food was great and nothing to complain about but what made it great were the staff, they were attentive while also leaving us in peace so we could concentrate on catching up. We stayed long after our meal was finished but did not feel rushed at all. The atmosphere was lovely and lots of space between tables. Will happily return

11/08/2025: 🥂 Spoiler alert: I fell in love with this restaurant! 🥂 Octopus so good I almost asked the waiter for the meaning of life. 🐙 Medium steak — juicy like the best romance (without the heartbreak). 🥩 Dessert… chocolate + homemade mint ice cream = the ultimate duo, like Netflix and a blanket. 🍫🍨 And the wine? So perfectly matched it could work as a matchmaker. 🍷 I’ll be back here faster than an Amazon delivery. 📦✨

17/06/2025: Nice cozy place, food was good and not too expensive, nothing special though so don't expect wow factor. We weren't shown or offered the specials which was a shame as we saw another table being offered this after us and after we had ordered and were having our food. Average.

12/08/2025: We've just had our day on the 9th August and couldn't wait to do up a review on our hotel and share it with you all! 🤍 The Westgrove Hotel 🤍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived at the Westgrove Hotel on Friday to check in, right through our wedding day on Saturday, the celebrations on day two, and finally checking out on Monday — everything was beyond perfect. We truly couldn’t fault a single thing. Our guests have not stopped complimenting the incredible staff, the stunning hotel, the delicious food — absolutely everything was flawless. The entire team went above and beyond to make our special day feel magical. To the wedding coordinators — Lorna and Lydia — we cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us over the past 2.5 years since booking our wedding. As soon as we met Lorna, we instantly knew this was the place we wanted to say “I do.” She is warm, genuine, and such a lovely person. Then Lydia joined the wedding team, and honestly, she’s just as amazing — bubbly, kind, and so genuine. No matter how big or small our questions were, they always had time for us and answered everything with a smile. The week leading up to the wedding was filled with last-minute changes and potential stress, but for Lorna and Lydia, it was like a walk in the park. Their calm, professional, and positive approach made all the difference. We also want to give a special mention to James — what a star! From hosting our dinner and drinks with family and the bridal party the night before, to looking after us at our day two event, nothing was ever too big or too small. He went above and beyond and did an amazing job at every turn. And also our bar man, Tom - who was pouring drinks all night long and for the whole second day! Loads of compliments from our guests about James & Tom 🤍 A huge thank you as well to Bonnie, the manager, who is genuinely the nicest manager we’ve ever come across anywhere. She regularly came to check on us — whether to see if we needed anything or simply to make sure we were happy. Her warmth and attention meant so much to us during our stay. To every single member of staff we encountered — thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🤍 You all made our wedding weekend the most incredible, unforgettable experience of our lives. 18/06/2025: My fiance was charged 15.70 for a pizza that all menus says is 14.60 - the mushroom one - at first he thought the wrong pizza was picked but when questioned was just told the menu prices are wrong, all of the 4 printed and plastered there, and the one here on maps, would make sense to update all the printed menus if the prices are changing - lovely pizzas as usual.
