The best restaurants in Kildare

15/06/2026: Came here for our wedding anniversary on Thursday 11th June. Have been hearing great things about the place for ages. Great service and nicely laid out room. The quality of the ingredients is stand out here. And the chef knows how to respect them. The burrata starter was so simple, yet mind blowing flavour. I had the lobster special (first time trying lobster), and was glad i did. Problem is this has set the bar very high and I fear nothing will come close to unit again. I guess I'll just have to come back. My wife had the prawns and veal. Both cooked to perfection. A few reviews mention that its a bit pricey. When you take into account the quality of ingredients, the skill of the chef to make them sing, the service and the atmosphere, the price was bang on. I cant wait to pop back in to sample more of the menu.

20/05/2026: Best cafe in Kildare Town. Anna is great and one of the friendliest faces in Kildare Town, she'll never greet you without a smile and the same goes for everyone else working there. Colm, Nick, Caitlin and Kate are some of the best people you'll meet. The coffee is great, not one food item is substandard and it's always so quiet even at full capacity.

05/05/2026: Close to everything, super well located, the room is small but very functional, my sister and I stayed there, super clean and smells nice, we stayed 5 nights

11/05/2026: Had our daughters First Holy Communion party in Toughers at the weekend. Great communication from Tara when booking and I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day. Food was lovely and the service from all the staff was excellent. We had a lovely private area for the kids to play music and dance while the adults relaxed.

06/05/2026: Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Eggs were perfect and the service was great.

13/05/2026: Food is beautiful here. Tapas are great portions , Prawns an Bree are gorgeous. Atmosphere is nice im surprised this place isn't busier. Guinness is lovely also. Staff are all very friendly . Food comes out abit slow but they use authentic and good quality produce .

10/05/2026: Bouchon, normally a wonderful Meal, is suffering just a little From lack of experienced staff. Attention is just a little off and response to requests is slow. Food is good as always.

06/05/2026: Although food good disappointed that you had to pay extra for chips and vegetables feel these should be included particularly with steak.

07/06/2026: Had a lovely experience there on Friday. Asked one of the staff for some help with a wine purchase. She was more than happy to help. She went out of her way to make sure i got what I wanted, even though it was visibly busy. She was so kind and personable. She recommended that I come back again for food so I absolutely will. Food looks lovely but iv never tried. I asked her name as I was leaving but not exactly sure… olive or olivia. Anyways lovely staff here and will not hesitate to come back.

21/05/2026: Went in with my Fiancée and baby as a quick pint stop at the end of a very busy morning running errands in newbridge and I must say the Gentleman behind the bar couldn’t have possibly been nicer to us, it was only early noon so it was only regulars there and we were so pleasantly surprised to be treated just like them with open arms (our first time here) On our way out we saw the man helping an elderly woman get her mobility scooter out of the Pub which was so heartwarming to see too as I can assure you where we live all they care about is money, this man cares about his customers :)! It’s so lovely to see one pub still keeping like a traditional old Irish Pub, If anybody is going to Newbridge and wants to have a quiet drink with excellent service I would 1Million percent recommend these guys :)

06/05/2026: Very friendly staff in all the areas of the hotel. Room was nice and clean with a Teepee on the family room for our child. Nice kids club and pool. Nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

09/06/2026: unreal food, many options, loads of seating and most importantly the customer service is lovely, all the staff are so kind you’d never get this type of service anywhere else. loads of vegetarian options aswell and loads of options for picky eaters. maynooth’s gem 11/10 experience
