Food was very tasty. Service was prompt and involved. Very pleasant ambience.

Lovely place , gorgeous decor, amazing staff and a lovely place to eat and have a few drinks. Perfect place for a date or to go with friends and family. Food is so yummy

Had a lovely experience there on Friday. Asked one of the staff for some help with a wine purchase. She was more than happy to help. She went out of her way to make sure i got what I wanted, even though it was visibly busy. She was so kind and personable. She recommended that I come back again for food so I absolutely will. Food looks lovely but iv never tried. I asked her name as I was leaving but not exactly sure… olive or olivia. Anyways lovely staff here and will not hesitate to come back.

A fantastic find in Maynooth. We stopped into Ely Wine Store after visiting Carton House and it was the perfect way to finish the day. Beautiful atmosphere, exceptional wine selection and delicious food with really warm Irish hospitality. If you’re staying at Carton House or exploring Kildare, this is absolutely worth a visit. It feels like one of those hidden gems you’re delighted to discover.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting ELY Wine Store in Maynooth, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences I’ve had in a long time, from the moment I walked in I was struck by how warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish the space felt, with a perfect balance between cosy comfort and modern design that immediately puts you at ease, creating an atmosphere where you can relax and truly enjoy yourself whether you’re there for a quick coffee, a long brunch, or an evening of food and wine, and what really stood out to me right away was just how genuinely welcoming the environment is, not only for people but for dogs as well, which made a huge difference to my visit because it’s rare to find a place that is truly dog-friendly rather than just tolerating dogs, and here it felt completely natural and encouraged, adding to the laid-back and community-focused vibe that makes you want to stay longer and come back again, and speaking of staying longer, the food and wine offering is nothing short of fantastic, with an impressive and thoughtfully curated wine selection that caters to both casual drinkers and enthusiasts alike, giving you the option to explore something new or stick with a favourite while pairing it with delicious, high-quality food that is clearly prepared with care and attention to detail, every dish I had was fresh, well-presented, and full of flavour, elevating the whole experience beyond just a simple meal into something much more enjoyable and memorable, and what truly ties everything together is the exceptional service, as the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing, striking that perfect balance where you feel looked after but still completely relaxed, which really enhances the overall experience and leaves a lasting impression, and by the end of my visit it was clear that ELY Wine Store is one of those rare places that gets everything right, from atmosphere and service to food, wine, and inclusivity, and I can confidently say I had a great experience there, one that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Maynooth, whether you’re a local or just passing through, especially if you’re looking for somewhere that combines quality, comfort, and a genuinely dog-friendly attitude in such a natural and enjoyable way.

My go to spot. Lovely place, rustic and charming. Great atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. Food is very tasty and pricing is very reasonable. The sourdough and sun dried tomato butter is insane 😋
