The best restaurants in Kildare

31/08/2025: We called in advance to secure a table for 7 and when we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful, pulling tables together and helping with the menu/ordering. We ordered coffees, pancakes, a breakfast bap and hash brunch. Everything was top notch, and the coffee was excellent too. What an exceptional place. And wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

30/08/2025: This cafe was such a find on a journey back to Dublin. They couldn’t have been more accommodating for a group of 7 of us. Mandy in particular was a brilliant host and made us feel very welcome. Brilliant service and brilliant food & coffee. Go if you can!

10/10/2025: The food was mediocre. The chicken "Italian" ciabatta was very disappointing. The chicken looked like it had been blitzed in a food processor with pesto, it might as well have been a sandwich spread. The prices are high for what you get. There is an element of greasy spoon diner. It's a pity as it was a great spot

04/10/2025: I've ordered take away coffee several times and it's always scoulding hot!!! Please train your staff to make drinks at the correct temperatures. Unless you like being burnt and wasting 3.70 euro I recommend buying your coffee from the garage.

13/09/2025: Amazing food but very rude staff. I called the restaurant to check where my delivery is as it was suppose to be with me 30 minutes ago, and I got a shouting woman over the phone! The food was amazing but the staff behaviour could be improved

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.

29/09/2025: Came here solo for a pint of Guinness and to watch the golf finals on a Sunday. Great service and pints from Daniel. Will 100% come back any day of the week.

23/02/2025: Highly recommend! It was my first time eating Turkish food. I ordered the Doner Turkish wrap, Lamchuan, and a Turkish coffee. They were all so flavorful! The interior is stunning! The staff are so nice, and they looked very happy every time more people came in. I’ll definitely go there again! ❤️

25/10/2025: I had a meal booked here with friends for a birthday, the welcome when we arrived was so warm and friendly, the food super exceeded my expectations it was amazing . I would highly recommend going for a meal here for any occasion.

03/10/2025: No pictures to show but we were impressed with the size, variety, and friendliness of the workers. Being Canadian, I was amazed and happy to see the cashier's comfortable at the tills. They had chairs to sit on, and the progressiveness of them not having to count cash, I think it's two options that Canadian food stores should adopt. And even talking to the cashier's, they were happy with their jobs. Highly recommended.
