10/12/2025: We ordered our beautiful wedding cake from Armelle and we were absolutely delighted with the cake, macarons, and cake pops provided. 🖤 The cake was stunning and delicious 😋. Everyone was asking what baker we had. Thank you so much for everything. 🖤 we will definitely be back . Absolutely stunning and delicious cakes . Even better they also offer Gluten free options which went down a treat with a few of our guests who are celiac. Will definitely be back for more . Stunning cakes 🎂 x 🖤

03/11/2025: Armelle’s Kitchen made a wonderful XL Layer cake for a recent 70th birthday celebration. The decorations looked stunning and the flavour was lovely - everyone was delighted with it. As promised, the cake was ready to collect on the day, and Armelle’s provided a great service.

20/05/2026: Nice shop well stocked but one very rude and disrespectful staff member . No manners she should be working a funeral parlour where she is not in contact with public.

07/06/2026: An absolutely fantastic dining experience at Friel's of Straffan! The food was exceptional from start to finish. Without a doubt, some of the best fish and chips and the best Rib Eye steak we've had in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and you could tell that each dish was prepared with genuine care and attention to detail. The portions were generous and satisfying, while the prices offered excellent value for the quality of food served. The restaurant itself was spotless, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit, making us feel genuinely welcome. We were also impressed by the great selection of pints and drinks available. A huge compliment to the entire team for delivering such a high standard of food and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended! 😊

31/05/2026: Everytime i went here with family or friends the food was immaculate the service was excellent and the staff are very kind and promoting with everything, Busy spot on long weekends and a sunday so be sure to book if you aren't sure on seating, Has a beautiful outside area for the summertime and lovely indoor lounge are which stretches from one end of the pub to the other, you could easily just have a quiet pint alone in the bar or have a family dinner there's great menu choices also with fantastic selection, one of my personal favourite spots to pull into. When it comes to off road diner's this is one of the best in Kildare by far in my opinion.

21/05/2026: I often pop in here for either a sit down or take away lunch. The food is always so fresh and tasty, the staff are so kind and helpful and just the overall atmosphere is always so nice and welcoming. Always a pleasure :)

23/06/2026: Food was exceptional but service was so slow. It was Father's Day and bizarrely, the restaurant seemed understaffed. Manager apologised. Not much more he could have done. Worth the wait, if you can wait.

04/02/2026: It's kind of dead. Nothing to do there and pretty livelss place. You'd think there should be some investment there to make is more attractive. But! There are free toilets upstairs and that definitely deserves a star!

28/06/2026: Had the smashed avocado with poached eggs and added the tropical smoothie. The dish looked fresh with plenty of greens, but the avocado was a bit too salty and it wasn’t served on sourdough as described on the menu, which was disappointing. The smoothie was quite watery and lacked flavour. Staff were fine and the place itself is nice, but overall the food quality didn’t match expectations.
