10/12/2025: We ordered our beautiful wedding cake from Armelle and we were absolutely delighted with the cake, macarons, and cake pops provided. 🖤 The cake was stunning and delicious 😋. Everyone was asking what baker we had. Thank you so much for everything. 🖤 we will definitely be back . Absolutely stunning and delicious cakes . Even better they also offer Gluten free options which went down a treat with a few of our guests who are celiac. Will definitely be back for more . Stunning cakes 🎂 x 🖤

03/11/2025: Armelle’s Kitchen made a wonderful XL Layer cake for a recent 70th birthday celebration. The decorations looked stunning and the flavour was lovely - everyone was delighted with it. As promised, the cake was ready to collect on the day, and Armelle’s provided a great service.

08/01/2026: Absolutely shocked with the Service in this pub I am from County Dublin I booked into the Keaden hotel heading to Nathan carter went in for a drink with my 2 cousins and was told not tonight we were barred from previous time never in the bar in my life.

17/03/2026: Fab hotel, amazing service and great value. We went for a night away with our kids, there’s so much to do for them and some lovely touches which make it all so special (kids passport, nature hunt and welcome kit). Thank you!

13/03/2026: as 3 old pals we celebrated our friend's 70th birthday with an overnight stay and dinner in the hotel. From the welcome at the reception to our sad goodbyes we had a fabulous time. The place is absolutely beautiful and the staff are a credit to the hotel The only little criticism I would have is that the signage is not great and so it is difficult enough to negotiate your way around. Finding your way to the Leisure Centre is not that easy! Also we found our room was not set up for 3 guests. Toiletries and teacups were only for 1 person. We rang reception but despite a promise that this would be addressed it never was. But overall we had the most wonderful time and will definitely be back.

04/03/2026: We spent two nights here over February midterm. I must say it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff in the carriage house for both dinner and breakfast were extremely kind and helpful and so polite and engaging. The views were lovely and the various quiet places throughout the hotel to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere were lovely. The staff in Kathleen kitchen were very helpful and gave great advice on what yummy dessert to pick. The pool was lovely and warm and very clean. It really was a very enjoyable experience.

24/02/2026: Our stay at Carton House for my birthday trip was nothing short of magical and tranquil. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were stepping into a grand castle mansion rather than a hotel. The property is absolutely breathtaking — elegant, timeless, and impeccably maintained — with a perfect balance of historic charm and modern, clean luxury. What truly sets this place apart is that it doesn’t feel corporate at all. You don’t feel like just another guest passing through. Instead, you feel genuinely cared for and noticed. Everyone at Carton House treats you as if you’re being welcomed into their home. The staff were warm, attentive, and sincerely kind — always helpful, always smiling, and clearly passionate about creating a special experience. Being set back in the countryside was incredibly refreshing. It allowed us to completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There are so many beautiful areas to walk and explore, making it such a cozy and romantic getaway. We especially loved the adorable pantry coffee and pastry shop that opens early — the coffee was fantastic; it was the perfect way to start our mornings before heading out to explore the stunning grounds. While it is a bit of a drive from Dublin, it is absolutely worth it. Just keep in mind that taxis back and forth can be a bit pricey — but that’s simply the trade-off for staying somewhere so peaceful and picturesque outside the city. This hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip and made my birthday celebration feel incredibly special. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already dreaming about coming back. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic, elegant escape.

27/12/2025: I have been here two times now, and I must say I am truly not impressed. I very rarely come on to give bad reviews, but I feel like this place is a complete cop out and NOT WORTH the hype. The first time I came the food was amazing but the service was extremely slow, it took 15 minutes to get a basket of bread and about 30 minutes to get the bill. This overall was fine, but I could tell something was not fully right for the price paid. Today we went for brunch, and it was a disaster from start to finish. We ordered three dishes, one was fine but the other two both had poached eggs that were completely hard inside, essential hard boiled eggs. Also both dishes were served ice cold. We asked if they could be returned, and asked the waiter is this how it’s meant to be served and he said absolutely not. The dishes went back, and ten minutes later they came back out looking completely different somehow and with different ingredients, but the eggs came out THE EXACT SAME. Even the waiter looked at the eggs and was embarrassed but I said I don’t want to send it back as I was just done with the whole thing at that stage. We ordered pancakes which we asked to follow our main dishes, which came 20 minutes after we finished these dishes. The bill then came and there was a Bloody Mary on it that we didn’t ask for, and they only gave us 40% on both the egg dishes which were clearly not cooked right. Personally, I believe that if a dish is sent back over something as simple as poached eggs being overcooked, it should be absolutely ESSENTIAL that the eggs are cooked close to perfect the second time. In my opinion, there is a clear lack of care and consideration in the kitchen. I will not be coming back, as I really feel like the price this restaurant charges does not reflect the service or passion shown from the kitchen. Note (the first photo was the first dish, and second is the second dish which l has different ingredients but still hard eggs)

27/12/2025: We reserved a table for 2 with our dog on Christmas Eve. Food was super - blueberry and lemon drizzle pancakes and a cooked breakfast with homemade sourdough. The staff are so pleasant and there was a lovely buzzy atmosphere. One of the genuinely great spots to eat in Maynooth! Wish more restaurants and cafes in Maynooth were dog friendly, it’s very much appreciated to be able to sit inside in winter! We will definitely be back.

20/12/2025: Food is always top Tier! Baristas and staff are great love coming into the shop in maynooth! Coffee was nicer when you had the le heron Brazil on but I appreciate the coffee that’s on bar now because of the background on it.
