09/12/2024: Nice cosy spot for a pre wedding drinks the night before the big day

04/12/2024: We had our day two celebrations in Clancys Back Bar on Sunday 24th November 2024. Clancys was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator in the Clanard Court Hotel last year when we went to visit the venue. We went down to visit that day to discuss having our day 2 celebrations there. From the minute we entered the pub to enquire, Emma and John could not have been more helpful. John took all my details and said he would contact me closer to the date. When I say John is lovely to deal with, it’s an understatement. He went above and beyond with every little detail. He took over the planning of the day for me. I had told him we wanted food & a dj, I also said we would like transport to & from the hotel on the night. He organised everything… he contacted a local caterer directly & organised the food for us, he contacted the local taxi company and booked a coach to pick us up from the hotel and collect us, he booked the dj for us… all we had to do was pay. It took so much pressure off us as we were so busy planning the wedding. He honestly couldn’t have been more helpful in the lead up to the night, checking in to see if there was anything else we needed etc. What can I say about the night itself? Unbelievable….. Clancys is such a great spot, we had full access to the back bar and outdoor garden area. When we arrived, John had put up decor around the place; just married signs, mr & Mrs signs etc. which we didn’t even request. He was so so helpful on the night constantly going around to everyone to see if they were ok & needed anything. All the staff were so helpful also. Such a lovely bunch. We finished off our wedding weekend celebrations in the best way we could, I could not recommend Clancys highly enough. We will be visiting the Clanard Court Hotel every year on our anniversary and will be going to Clancys for a drink without a doubt, we already can’t wait to go back. 02/03/2025: I don't recommend drinking here, they are too strict unlike the "roost" or "O'Niels", they didn't let me in after I left to get my insulin from the hotel and called me "shady". I recommend going to the Newtown Pub as it is friendlier and more "Irish cultured" while Brady's clock house is more of a "money catcher". I really hope they change for the better, but I'm never going back! 26/03/2025: Worked for Bryan for a long time. Always had my back and still does. A go-to place for me. Feels safe and quiet. It's a nice place to go when it's raining and a perfect place to walk when the sun is shining. Staff are great. Coffee is on point also. 6 stars.

14/02/2025: Very nice cafe. A large selection of cakes and good coffees and teas. There is also a small toilet, which can be accessed by narrow stairs to the attic

31/01/2025: I had a skinny flat white and berry pistachio croissant. The croissant was amazing, and so massive! Such a treat. The flat white was just okay but I am fussy. My partner had a pain au chocolat and an americano. She loved the coffee but not so much the pastry. Overall, nice spot. Staff were lovely. Would be nice to be able to sit in!
