24/08/2025: Great little spot. Plenty of parking. Pop in regularly. Jamie, Darren & Amanda are lovely to deal with. They always have a smile and a welcome hello when you walk into the store.

Always a cracking night out here: one minute you could be in the middle of a rock gig, the next you're swept into a trad session you’ll remember for years. That's the magic of this place — you never quite know what you'll walk into, but it’s always good craic. They used to serve food (and it was great), which sadly seems to be on pause for now — hopefully it makes a comeback, because the atmosphere deserves it. Whether you're local or just passing through, Moone High Cross Inn is well worth the detour. A true gem of Irish pub culture — you’ll leave with a smile, a story, and maybe a new favorite song.

27/08/2025: Cosy - is the word I'd use to describe the restaurant. Glorious is how I'd describe the breakfast menu. Lots of choices and will easily fill a belly for the rest of the day. Easily will return and have since being.

03/08/2025: Agapé is a must visit for some good grub in Kildare. The servers are all very friendly, the portion sizes are great value for money, and everything is very tasty. Full marks.

17/07/2025: Very good food, nice environment and lovely lady that took our order. The breakfast came quick and we were in 7. My 13 kiddo devoured the pancakes.

17/07/2025: Omg! Ice coffee 😍 One of the best I've ever had. Atmospheric place, with outdoor tables and chairs with cushions. Homely and cozy.

12/08/2025: We had lunch yesterday (Monday) but we believe we got the leftovers of Sunday lunch - potatoes were watery and grey (my wife could ye eat them) I had turkey & ham - ham was bacon and was good, stuffing was ok and the turkey was one small dried out slice - my wife had beef (2 slices) she ate one of the slices and nothing else - roast veg was terrible..

07/08/2025: We "happened upon" McMahon's in Maynooth on our trip from Galway to Dublin. What a GREAT find!!! We walked in with 7 people and were welcomed immediately! The food is great! The menu is very diverse! The people are very nice and the restaurant is quite beautiful ! I totally recommend McMahon's if you're in the area!!

20/08/2025: Hidden gem! Great coffee, delicious toasties 😋 Always a lunchtime buzz with a queue, but worth the wait! Highly recommended. Can’t remember if it was expensive or not but the fact I can’t remember I’m going to say it was average.

15/08/2025: Ordered a Cortado from Hey darling today, was absolutely terrible. A cortado is supposed to have a smooth silky milk on top of an espresso shot expressed for 15 seconds. The coffee I recieved tasted burnt, no silky milk. It was simply a double espresso with warmed milk. Far better coffee shops for a specialty coffee. Personal opinion obviously but definitely was not a cortado.

04/09/2025: Amazing, my mum absolutely loved every aspect of Newbridge but most of all the girl who served us was superb 👌 she was so lovely and we can't wait to return 👌

03/09/2025: Must visit for locals! I have lived near Newbridge for 3 years and always wanted to visit but never did until last month. The shop has something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for some jewellery, cutlery, Christmas ornaments or even preloved items! Price range is great, you can get 1 fork for a few euros or you can get a full cutlery set for 60e or something more bespoke too. The silverware factory tour is great, small and you learn a lot about how many they times they adapted and didn’t give up. I would recommend taking ear plugs with you if you’re sensitive to noise. Visitor centre also hosts Museum of Style Icons. It’s free to visit and they have the “revenge dress”. Finally there’s delicious afternoon tea to enjoy in the lovely cafe. Warmly recommend!
