28/07/2026: Delhi Darbar in Maynooth is a lovely place to sit in and enjoy a meal. The staff are really friendly and the food is delicious. I particularly love the Vindaloo they serve here, it is one of the best I’ve had in Ireland. Thanks!

17/07/2026: Absolutely horrendous. A total waste of money and a disappointing Friday night treat. Said I would try their takeaway for the first time. The food did not resemble anything like Indian cuisine. Had to throw it to the bin. Disgraceful

17/08/2026: Great place to eat. We had a late lunch on Sunday and everything was great. Service was good, all the staff very nice. My husband had the wings and special Bacon and I had the fish and chips. All great and tasty , nothing to complain. Kids menu very good plus the addition of coloring pens to keep them occupied for a few minutes was a good idea 😅. Unfortunately I was driving so I didn't had a chance to try some of their beers, but there's always next time.

16/08/2026: Super friendly staff; we got a table even though we hadn't reserved. It was very easy. The food was very good and plentiful. The atmosphere was lovely. Large outdoor seating area.

13/07/2026: Today we visited your café for lunch, and we were served a sausage roll with an incredibly spicy sauce. The salad also contained caraway seeds and coriander, which had never been included before. None of these ingredients were listed in the allergen information or mentioned on the menu. As a result, I had an asthma attack and had to ask for the dish to be replaced. We then ordered a €16 sandwich, but it was very disappointing. It was dry, with no sauce at all, and contained an excessive amount of salad leaves, which tasted bitter. We are regular customers at Dubh, and I was extremely disappointed by today's experience. What concerns me most is that I almost couldn't breathe because of seasonings that were not disclosed in the menu or allergen information. This could be very dangerous for customers with allergies or respiratory conditions. I hope you will review your ingredient and allergen information to ensure it is accurate and complete, as this is an important health and safety issue.

03/08/2026: Really disappointing experience today. My 10-year-old daughter and I drove 30 minutes to visit after seeing on Google that Hey Darling was open until 4:00pm on the Bank Holiday Monday (although it does mention that opening hours may differ). When we arrived there were still plenty of customers waiting for food, so we stood for a few minutes reading the menu together and deciding what to order. As I approached the counter, the staff member said, “Sorry, we literally just stopped taking food orders. We’re only serving drinks.” I asked if she was serious and whether they could take us as the last food order. She replied “No” in a sing-song voice with a big strained smile. After she said no, I looked at my watch and it was only 2:29pm, which means we had actually arrived a few minutes earlier. Refusing to take our order before the advertised last food order time was incredibly disappointing. What upset me most wasn’t just that we couldn’t order food—it was the lack of customer service and common courtesy. We had made a special 30-minute journey, arrived before 2:30pm, and there were still food orders being prepared. It wouldn’t have taken much to show a little flexibility and take one final order. Instead, my daughter and I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Sadly, the customer service completely overshadowed what we’d been looking forward to.

03/08/2026: Food is superb. However staff is always grumpy. Every time we come in, they seem to hate their job. I get that sometimes you can be in a worse mood but this happens every single time. No smiles. Can get quite loud in peak times. But still - their food is great and coffee is not bad either.

16/07/2026: I recently visited The Canvas in Kilcock and had such a great experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out was how genuinely friendly and welcoming the staff were. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and made to feel comfortable straight away. Everyone was patient, attentive, and happy to help without ever feeling overbearing. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the staff enjoy what they do, and that really adds to the atmosphere. Even though it was busy, they still took the time to check in and make sure everything was okay, which made the whole visit feel personal. The food was just as impressive as the service. Everything arrived fresh, well presented, and full of flavour. You could tell that care had gone into preparing each dish, and the portion sizes were generous without compromising on quality. Every bite tasted fresh, and it was one of those meals where you don’t leave anything on the plate. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to sit back and enjoy the experience. It’s not often you find a place that gets both the food and the customer service right, but The Canvas definitely does. I’ll definitely be coming back and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Kilcock.

08/08/2026: I would rate this restaurant below three stars. The main issue was the lack of customer service. When we entered, there was no receptionist or staff member available to welcome us or assist us, and we had to wait while everyone seemed focused on cooking. We ordered fried rice and noodles, but unfortunately, the food lacked flavour and tasted more like simple ingredients mixed together without enough seasoning or sauce. Although we finished our meals, we were not completely satisfied. I hope the restaurant can improve its customer service, welcoming atmosphere, and food quality. With better attention to guests and more flavourful dishes, the overall experience could be much better in the future. Thank you.

24/07/2026: Colossal pub. We sat, enjoyed a Guinness and had a good chat. This is the right place to meet and chat. Colossal atmosphere and wonderful interior. There is even a place with tables where you can smoke if you need it. The many visitors show that this is a popular place for locals. I will definitely come back to enjoy a beer here.
