I've been eating at the Salmon Leap Inn for several years now, and I've always had a good experience. On my most recent visit I had crab linguine with a side of Sautéed carrots and tenderstem broccoli. The vegetable side dishes have always been good here - last summer they had some great baby courgettes that I still think about! I usually drink something from the beer and cider selection, but on this occasion I decided to try something from the cocktail menu. I had a whiskey sour that was nice and refreshing.
Putting pineapple on a haloumi burger or thickening seafood chowder with flour is more gastropun than gastropub.
Very disappointed, perhaps they’re better at cooking beef, lamb or chicken. I won’t be back to find out
Great place for a pint or some grub. The atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. Easily the best Guinness in town. Definitely recommend!
New to the area so tired here today and was not disappointed. Was genuinely the nicest meal we’ve had in a long time! The lay out of the pub is amazing, staff are so lovely, attentive and welcoming, brilliant quick service and unbelievable food. Couldn’t rate this place high enough. Will definitely be back!
Definitely a hidden gem in Leixlip. We live in Lucan and have been here countless times. Their crispy pork belly bites are to die for and I've been so many places from Asia to here but this is still one of my fave. The vibe, the food, the customer services are amazing
We had a lovely meal last week in the Salmon Leap Inn. the food was excellent and the service was great. We were celebrating a birthday : as such it was a great place to go as we found finding a place to eat out at 7.30pm was hard to get. Thank you to the staff we enjoyed the night. I recommend the experieince . J D. We will be back. Such a lovely place and then to be able to walk over the bridge and watch the river.
