04/06/2026: I can't say enough about our experience at Silken Thomas. The owners are clearly treating their staff well, because it shows in how the staff treat the clients. Everyone from Reception, to the Bar, to the Restaurant (for both dinner and breakfast), to the person who showed us to our room, had a smile on their face and looked happy to be there. We felt well taken care of and everything we ate was delicious. We both loved the location and the recent redo, especially the shower. Special shout out to the lovely room cleaners and management who went the extra-mile to not only reach out to me to let me know I'd left a t-shirt behind on the bed, but also posted it to me in Dublin. My offer to reimburse them for the postage fell on deaf ears. The t-shirt has an illustration of a dearly departed pet on it and means an enormous amount to me, so I'll never forget Silken Thomas's kindness. Aces from top to bottom.

22/07/2026: We went on our Date night too see what the two courses for €30 special would be like but there was nothing on the options that tickeled our fancy. However we were pleasantly surprised to find a steak on the stone special at €30 per person and we decided to run with that. The steak was absolutely delicious and was served with house chunky chips and mushroom and pepper sauce. It was served on a massive platter plate and was the best steak we have had in a long time. The staff were all really friendly and knew the menu inside out. We had Chicken wings to start whick were massive and a shared chocolate Fondant for dessert. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night and this gives an indication of how lovely overall the atmosphere is. And as Arnie says..Ill be back.

01/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for some of the best chicken wings, this is the place. The wings are consistently delicious, generously sized, and always cooked perfectly. My go-to order is the lemon pepper and honey garlic wings with a side of ranch—you really can’t go wrong. The fries are great, the drinks are solid, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d want from a neighborhood pub: relaxed & welcoming. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from central Montreal, but it’s absolutely worth making the trip to Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue. The location right on the main street makes it a great spot to grab dinner and enjoy a walk afterward. This is my go-to place whenever I feel like treating myself to a cheat meal, and it has never disappointed. Highly recommend!

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.

10/11/2025: Great to see a restaurant of this standard in Kildare. With the Hangman’s closed, we’ve been short of somewhere special locally, and O’Dooles has definitely stepped up. It’s a proper night-out spot – not just a pub meal. We had a group of 15 last night and everything was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive without being over the top, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the place is spotless. The wine list is well chosen and fairly priced, drinks looked great, and the food was full of flavour across all courses. We also had a coeliac with us and the kitchen handled it perfectly – clear communication, careful preparation, and a gluten-free starter made fresh, which was very much appreciated. It’s great to have somewhere like this on our doorstep in Kildare. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back.

07/11/2025: We had a really lovely experience in O'Dooles restaurant for my brother’s birthday. The staff were fantastic and the food was amazing from start to finish. Great cocktail menu and lovely bar area for a pre dinner drink. Margarita was fab. The prawn starter was delish and the chickpea fritter to start was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed the main courses the Seabass for me was perfect and so flavorsome and my brother was very happy with the Veal chop. Desserts were great and the Cheeseboard - we are all still thinking about it! Great atmosphere in the restaurant. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks again to all the team at O’Dooles!

20/05/2026: Best cafe in Kildare Town. Anna is great and one of the friendliest faces in Kildare Town, she'll never greet you without a smile and the same goes for everyone else working there. Colm, Nick, Caitlin and Kate are some of the best people you'll meet. The coffee is great, not one food item is substandard and it's always so quiet even at full capacity.

03/08/2026: Sprout Kildare has really lost its customer‑first approach. On my last visit I was told to make my own bowl, and on this visit, the place was empty, I was the only customer at the counter. Given an inquisition over ordering a wrap without meat. Apparently removing items I don’t want is now “breaking a rule.” The inconsistency is unbelievable. Different staff seem to make up different rules depending on the day, and it creates a genuinely uncomfortable experience. Sprout used to be flexible and easy; now it feels rigid and dismissive. It’s disappointing to see a business forget the customers who supported it from the start. Sprout built its brand on choice, freshness, and ease. So when they suddenly treat your preferences like a problem, it feels like they’re contradicting their own identity. You’re not asking for anything unusual — you’re asking for less than the standard wrap. That should be the simplest request of all.

11/01/2026: Unbelievably good drive-thru coffee, tasty treats and absolutely lovely staff.... with a different dad joke on the board every day. They also do Squid points. If you love coffee, you'll love this place.
