The best restaurants in Kildare

24/11/2025: Recently visited this restaurant and it was a bit of a mixed experience for me. The main thing I noticed was the price – the takeaway menu is okay, but when you eat in, the prices are almost double for the same items, so it doesn’t really feel worth it to sit in. We ordered a chicken spice box and I was not happy with it, because there was very little chicken and it was mostly filled with chips. We also bought a shawarma wrap, which actually tasted nice, with a chicken strip in the middle and rice, but the wrap itself looked more like a spring roll wrap than a normal shawarma. The curry dip was really nice though and added good flavour to the food.

Detailed review: Pros - - Ambiance - the restaurant featured a classic Chinese representation - Chow Mein - the chow mein was generously prepared (quantity) with a good flavor Areas for improvement - - Quality of food - the kung-pao chicken and cashew chicken were nearly identical in taste with the exception of a few chili pieces. The complementary prawn crackers were cold and tasted of a stale oil Critical - - Price difference between takeaway and in-house menu - the prices (images attached) show about a 10+ euro price increase over the takeout menu. The prices are not commensurate to the quality of food or speed and quality of service - these prices were not advertised on the website and hence captured on the images

24/07/2025: Prime burger meal curry sauce and a water. Burger for the price was not very good. Very dry and rubbery. A few fried onions a small but of lettuce cheap tasting cheese covered in a sauce which wasn't very nice at all. Some kind of burger sauce. Chips were not crispy at all and I agree about the oil in other reviews just not very fresh tasting. Curry was very sweet. 15.10 is very expensive for what I got. Not a lot of quality food going on here. I'd skip this one in future. In response to Macari response. Lads trip advisor is 3 out of 5 Facebook is 3.7 gastroranking is 3.1. At some point you might realise everyone is not trolling you. Im happy that you stand over your ingredients so cook and present them better. When you charge a higer price expectations go up with that price. Good luck.

19/05/2025: Seriously best pizza in town. Fresh and soft dough, fruity tomato sauce and very generous on the topics. I specifically love the vegetarian one and look forward to my next order already.

20/09/2025: I waited for my order for nearly 120 mins = 2 hours now and it didn't came at all. So frustrating. Called the given number and no one has received it at all. I am giving the rating of service as 1 as there's no way to give them -100. Stay away.

20/08/2025: Jessica and Takisha are quite possibly the nicest two young ladies I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, I had been having a bad day and the short few moments I got to chat to them improved it ten fold, as well as this the service was quick and my crepe was exquisite and delectable, I will 100% be back and I just pray I’ll run into those two beautiful girls again 😊 🙏

11/08/2025: Juliana and Zara are the best in customer service,it is so rear nowadays...they are hard working,very smiley and positive young ladies,they know how to make people happy and welcomed.My child is very happy,they were so warm even those we were almost the last customers. I really appreciate how nice they are.It is not about food,it is about people who work for the place.I hope the business owner and managers appreciate their hard work as much as we do(regular local customers) Thank you again!

You’ll find plenty of seating, good lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that invites you to sit down — whether you’re alone with your laptop, catching up with a friend, or recharging between stores. The team here are very professional and friendly. They handle the rush gracefully, maintain good service even during busy times, and always make you feel welcome. It makes a difference when you can walk in, order quickly, and relax without feeling hurried. Overall, if you’re out for a shopping day and want a solid spot to pause, Starbucks at Kildare Village delivers — comfort, service, and a nice environment.

06/10/2025: Had a coffee and carrot cake in branch yesterday evening. FYI was well before closing time. Coffee initially served was cold. After I brought it to their attention counter staff brewed me a fresh cup quite quickly. The coffee blend used is very unpleasant and management should urgently look at reviewing the blend(s) they use. The carrot cake was also quite bland. I appreciate it's a shopping centre with lots of transient passing trade, but that's no excuse for serving very poor coffee etc.

21/02/2025: Food was lovely with previous owner's, and I have to say I taught it got better with the new owner's, very tasty, that is, when they get your order correct, 2 delivery's in a row now, they sent out a munchie box with no seasoning at all, very bland and tasteless, we ordered online and stated clearly to make sure it had plenty of seasoning, please try and get your customers orders correct, you obviously need someone who can read English and understand the orders, they did offer to send a free one the next time we order, which is something I suppose, I guess we will have to wait and see if the seasoning is included, it's not a munchie box without seasoning in my opinion unless that's what your into.....🤦 i will have no problem upgrading my review in time if our orders are as placed, thanks
