The best restaurants in Kildare

25/07/2025: Both mine and my partner's food was overly sweet. It's no better (or worse) than the same dish from a standard take out, only twice the price. Service was adequate and the table was clean. Overall very mid.

29/06/2025: We try to buy food here around 7:30pm 28/06/2025 but the lady in cashier is very rude, like literally rude, we ask about the product but she answered us in a rude way like theres an exclamation point and sarcastic answer! And she complain to us that shes very tired she want to close the cashier but this kind of behaviour is unacceptable specially she work in hospitality industry.

21/06/2025: If you pass through Kildare Village don't forget to stop at Dunne & Crescenzi where you can have lunch with quality food and drink with attentive and helpful service. Next door there is a bar where you can have a drink without stopping. Don't forget the bathrooms which are truly elegant, you will be amazed by them.

02/03/2025: Had a lovely meal here last night with my daughter and my sister whilst staying in kildare town for the night. The food was absolutely gorgeous i had chicken satay very generous portion and the service was brilliant! Would highly recommend ♥️

09/04/2025: Visited Soul Burger recently and to say it was a disaster would be an understatment. We started with 4 cocktails, big mistake. The margarita was basically just a salt lick in a glass. No balance, no flavour, just straight-up undrinkable and it was the same for 2 other drinks. We sent it back, and somehow they still had the audacity to charge us for the 2 we sent back. It only went downhill from there. Out of 6 meals, 4 were wrong, not once, not twice, but three times. At that point, it felt less like incompetence and more like a joke. Either the staff weren’t paying the slightest bit of attention or they just genuinely couldn’t care less. Funny thing about this situation, it wasn't busy at all with only 4 tables occupied. And then there was the manager, easily the most unprofessional part of the experience. When we politely raised our concerns, she responded with pure condescension and attitude. No apology, no accountability, just dismissive excuses and a smirk like she couldn’t be bothered. Avoid this place like the plague. The service is clueless, the drinks are a joke, and management is downright nasty. Plenty of better spots around that actually know how to treat customers with basic decency.

15/06/2025: Visited for lunch yesterday. The wait time to get the food was bruuuuutal. The roasted beef in gravy was super salty and veggies were less.

20/07/2025: No recommended I talk meaby 15 min on the phone make a order and after that lady ask me for card details for security but I want pay cash so she cancel the order sick!

23/10/2024: Was there on Sunday midday so not so many customers. It was my first visit in Goban... Place is amazing... Friendly, warm and with outdoor option. The only one complaint was a friend of mine... I spent more time watching sport tv then talking about all around things... Good for me , he was on the phone with his girlfriend and I enjoyed the place. One more thing: Guinness from the tap.... just wish to be 🔙. All the best.

23/07/2025: Placed an order online for delivery 10 mins before closing. The manager decided that they were too busy for the order and cancelled. Thinks orders just magically appear on the system and people should collect if they happen to be hungry in the late into the evening. Bizarre experience!

03/06/2025: This is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! Thin and crispy crust, perfect toppings, everything is just right. Delivery was fast and the pizza arrived hot, like it just came out of the oven. 10 out of 10!

08/12/2024: pizza was disgusting cold and chicken on pizza was not fresh it was auwfull and smelly we left bin thr pizza and drove home empty stomach

27/11/2024: Myself & my partner decided to visit this restaurant after not being there for quite some time. We were looking forward to it as food was always amazing & staff were lovely. How disappointed could we have been!!!When we went to order we asked the waitress did they still do the "lovely coleslaw" & she told us "no, the chef thinks it's too time consuming to make it" We should have left then!!!! We decided on the wings to share, which were clearly clearly taken out of the microwave & a small bit of hot sauce put over them. The main course consisted of my partner having greasy, heavily battered cod with frozen chips & I having the the part boiled pasta, tossed with boiled chicken & what seemed like a tin of condensed mushroom soup. No taste & absolutely zero effort put into each dish. The so-called "chef" should be ashamed of himself presenting food like this to paying customers. When we complained, the waitress (who to be fair was a lovely lady) understood & didn't charge for the pasta dish. Such a disappointing experience & as locals to the area, we won't be back.

07/07/2025: Coffee, staff etc good; but the huge question; why you leaving one girl inside the coffeeshop while it’s a lot people around. Two person and me left because we can not wait so long :(

18/04/2025: I visited kildare village a couple of weeks ago and got a coffee from the little hut/coffee van down at the end near the water feature I didn't catch the girls name but she was so incredibly nice good chat friendly and the coffee was fab. I had visited another coffee doc area the week previously (not butlers) and it's was a desperate experience. Butlers will be my go to going forward.

19/05/2025: Seriously best pizza in town. Fresh and soft dough, fruity tomato sauce and very generous on the topics. I specifically love the vegetarian one and look forward to my next order already.

08/06/2025: I Was visiting Kildare town yesterday evening and came across this Chipper. I Got a cheese and a Regular Burger and chips.It was just fabulous the chips were to die for.I will definitely call in again the next time in town ..

27/05/2025: Going here for years but alas tonight was my very last time to go in there. I ate healthy for six weeks and tonight bought onion rings, chips and a battered sausage. The amount of salt was dreadful and the taste of grease/fat was dreadful. I put the whole lot in the bin straight away. To buy a healthy indian takeaway is the best option.

01/06/2025: 1st time ever to eat Indian dish but got the biggest and most tasty kebab I've ever tasted even got a dish for tomorrow ( rogan josh) was served by a beautiful friendly girl will definitely go for a sit down meal restaurant looks beautiful 5 stars without a doubt
